Having ran the cat hidrive dozers I really like the looks of this new lieberer dozer,as someone said service ,support would be a big thing assuming thier design proves sound ,every machine ever made will breakdown ,parts and service are very important!I worked for a mining company that had kamatsu loaders ,honestly they were every bit as good as our cat loaders but parts were about double in price ,this I know I worked as one of the main mechanics! As to service it was just about non existent ,whereas caterpillar service I would rate Aplus that's important when you have to depend on a certain machine to get the job done
I have an old 732, back up is pretty good, they are simple, an engine, pumps and drive motors with electrics. this technology has been around for decades so your not inventing the wheel. its like a bobcat on steroids to operate.
This video show us very beautiful machine. With some of touch its will it make us intersting and enjoyed this video. Thank you sir for post this video. I love it so much.
I operated a D8 Caterpillar in my younger days. It would look like a Tonka toy compared to this monster. I would love to set in the operators seat of this bulldozer for a week or so. Amazing machine!
Got a friend operating one in a mine up here in QLD, Aus, its got its fair share of problems don't worry about that. Not in top spot for reliability thats for sure.
I am a driver of a large bulldozer and excavator. I would like to work in Canada and work as a mechanic on large machines. Do you have a job in Canada? Truck, bulldozer and excavator driver
@@AwesomeEarthmovers I'm sorry. Thanks for the clarification and for helping me learn more about this topic. I leave my comment anyway, someone might find it as useful as it was for me.
Hello everyone I have been watching this machine for quite some time now on you tube.It is very nice....well design and built. I love the 766 type 50-60 tons dozer.Thats very impressive. This machine should have the heavy protective steel canopy just above the cab. . ""PLATFORM GUARD RAILS AND EVEN HYDRAULIC SAFETY STEPS IS NICE BUT REMEMBER ""SAFETY FIRST...!!"" I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ALREADY HAVE SUCH MACHINES OUT WITH THE STEEL CANOPY OVER THE CAB OUT OF THE PRODUCTION LINE.... BUT IF THEY DON'T THEY SHOULD PUT THEM ON.........VERY FUTURE MACHINE......
They do look a bit loose and unfortunate because they mostly went for shots of it pushing and made what was a slightly incoherent video, you don't really get a good look at the dozer reversing up. If you did you'd see that the tracks are OK in reverse (not too tight) and that they go a bit slack as the dozer picks up load when going forward. This is because the front idler has movement forwards and backwards and as the rear planetary gear pulls the track around the two idlers under load, it has the effect of pulling the front idler in, causing the track to look a bit slack. If you'd seen it track forward with the blade empty, you'd have seen that the tracks don't look so loose.
Pretty sure Komatsu has the largest hydrostatic dozers. 375 comparable to a D10, hydrostatic. 475, comparable to a D11’s, hydrostatic. D575A largest in the world, hydrostatic.
20 percent better then the already well established Caterpillar D10T2 & Komatsu D375A?When it comes to the elevated drive sprocket undercarriage Caterpillar did not follow anyones elses tracks because they created their own.
But really, CAT was not the first to build machines with elevated sprockets. And its a 30 year old story. I mean, turbo chargers and power shift were also introduced by CAT and are essential to modern tractor design. Everyone does it now. Time moves on
The vast majority of Liebherr's equipment portfolio is in house developed. Most of Caterpillar's are from acquiring other manufacturers designs. Their mining range of excavators are 0&K designed and the original design for the 3 series excavators came from Mitsubishi.
The elevated drive sprocket is garbage. They did that because it probably made engineering the driveline cheaper. The chain only wraps less than 1/4 around the drive sprocket, making it wear alot faster and making it need replacement quicker. With the drive sprocket on the bottom like the old dozers had, the chain wraps 1/2 way around the sprocket. That gives you more life out of the sprocket because you can tighten up the chain and due to it contacting 50 percent of the sprocket, you can still use it once the sprocket wears. You can't do that with the raised sprocket. The chain'll just slip. Junk. Don't fix it or redesign it if it ain't broke. The only thing it did was make replacing the drive sprocket easier. I wouldn't buy a newer dozer.
generationll We have Europe’s first 776 running in the north of Sweden. The customer did a field test against the Komatsu and the result was devastating. Much less fuel consumption and +30% productivity.
hI WANT KNOW HOW MUCH WORKING HOURS ARRIVE THE DOUBLE HYDROSTATIC CIRCUIT ( LH and RH ) PUMPS AND HYD MOTORS ??? With large CAT and Komatsu dozers all know the reability tramsissions , but here ??? How much working hours the Liebherr engineers say of will arrive the double hydrostatioc transmissions ?? And when you are in Africa or in deep Siberia , where is the Liebherr service ??????? All know the Liebherr mentality, ok, hydrostatic circuits have more transmission power, minus loose of power, so minus fuel consume. Nobody put in discussion this. But the service ?? These dozers don't work near Liebherr Austrian factory All know the service Liebherr Africa problems. The younger mechanics are good only for play with computers, rest.... no comment
Thank you, infact nobody , except you answere. Plus: in China there is HBXG dozers, naturally chineses copy of CAT dozers. But, if a chinese manufacturer that produce machines with similar CAT triangolar undercarriage type is a bad machine. If Liebherr copys is always very good machine ? I want know the africans, russians and South Americans Liebherr mechanics, where is their experience, where is their skilled technical experience. After i will change my opinion. But after more 40 years of service experience in large and mining machine, until, now, nobody was good of change my opinions: CAT will be CAT every time. Komatsu will be remain the second manufacturer Volvo is the best alternative on wheel loaders and ADT. Hitachi on the excavators JD - HITACHI is a good alternative, but only for Americans markets. Case is a good product, expecially for the Sumitomo excavators and CASE FORD skid steers. JCB , naturally , will remain the first on backhoes and telehandlers, with a good service everywhere, in new economy countries also. Liebherr is good for EU , USA and some russians countries, is the best excavator, nobody put in discussion. But , isn't the machine for new economy markets. Too sophisticated machine. And with too expensive parts, and too expensive Reman groups, if you buy from official organizations. Remain the EU reman alternatives, but is good for machine until 2008 / 2010. After, you must cross under official organization, with totally out of market parts prices.
i know the russian machines , but isn't really good for EU, because are olds projects. All CHTZ and CHETRA are strong machines, born for the russiansd hard conditions, because, you pre heat the engine and hyd tank and transmission oils , but the welding s frame remain forzen , at - 50 °.Infact, in the selling agremments, the russians government companies want, absolutly , the artic predispositions.Privat companies , forget, all is good !After ......, no commentsIn all cases, the CHTZ and CHETRA aren't sold here, because haven't TIER IV engines applications.Outside EU and USA , there aren't problemsMachines prices are interesting. The best sold , for CHTZ , is the B 10 with mechanical transmission .This machine use dry steeering discs and brakeImage that they , for Russian markets, continuos to sell new machines with gasoline starting motors. If you put CHTZ B 10 or T 170 ON YOU TUBE, you will see more incredible videos. Image when doen't start , at - 50 °The Chetra T 15 and T 35 are the best sold. Are more moderns, with electric control power shift transmissions and wet brake diswcs and steering clutches. Are the mix copy of old International dresser machines ( infact mantein similar models, with a front idler system, similar to CAT triangolar undercarriages )All russians amchines are simple, no too much sophisticated machines, good for their conditions.I rispect all manufacturers , because, before to be a seller, i am an old earth moving machines techncian, with more of 40 years of service experience, specialized in parts also.So , i see the parts requests and for what machines are .Image , that , i considered the old F / A good machines , not expensiove , but reability.I done school on Komatsu service and over an old F / A 41 B service , same of CAT D 10.Repeat: Liebherr is a very good machines , but out of market for service prices and for parts prices.Plus, as used, valour is low. This is the reality.
Should show the dozer working in tough rock conditions and ripping more than dirt instead of playing in the sissy stuff. Makes it look weaker than cat / komatsu
I do have videos of it working in tough conditions. The Lighter coloured looking material at the start of this video is as hard as any rock. It doesn't look it but it needs to be be blasted in some very hard places.
