When I first previewed this hand grinder I didn't realise it was a world first, unreleased until later that year in Milan! But I was impressed!
Fiorenzato and company founder Pietro, of which these grinders are a nod to, are known for their
Now that everyone has had one for a bit to play with I want to ask how everyone is finding it. Is it living up to your expectations?
I'm not a hand grinder sort of guy (too lazy) but I was really impressed with how quickly this could grind an espresso dose of 22g. It beat all the other hand grinders by a mile! At 58mm flat blades, this thing cranks the power to produce a puck of coffee seemingly instantly.
I don't have the time to hand grind many shots unless I'm travelling but this little hand grinder isn't really a travel companion, its more of a home barista set up type of grinder which begs the question, is it something that you would use on a daily basis for all your coffee brewing?
At around $400US/ $650AUD it isn't cheap by any stretch, but if it saves you time and produces great grind, maybe its value for money anyway.
Let me know your thoughts and as always, enjoy your brew!

I am super passionate about coffee and educating people on all aspects of this amazing drink. I love bringing the stories back from the other side of the world about how they grow and process the coffee differently on each farm, in each region, and in each country. I also love helping baristas around the world make better coffee for themselves, whether they're at home, professional, competitors and or even just venturing out into the wide world of coffee.
