It's a little tricky, but you put a flat head screwdriver between the chassis and the body at the rear and lever off the body, the rear light lenses are all that holds it in.
Good review, but the price is ridiculous. These appear to use the same technology that Zip Zap micro RC cars used 10 years ago and they sold for $20-30. I agree the steering is odd as well. The trailer is a nice touch, though. I might be a little forgiving on the price if both the controller and vehicle itself didn't have MADE IN CHINA molded on the back/bottom. Maybe Carson has to pay steep VW royalties?
