I'm a hair stylist and I used to really like Andrew Barton he was hairdresser of the year and a big up and coming celebrity stylist 😂 I remember watching this and I was so embarrassed for him, and horrified
I remember they went back to see how she got on a few months later and she had blue highlights in her hair, and wore some funky clothes and she absolutely loved how the makeover had given her a new lease of life.
I just can't get over how mismatched it all is...its like part 6 year old, part matronly office wear and part 'hipster' hairstyle you'd find on myspace.
I literally think this before and after picture is funnier than any meme I've seen I saw this video a few months ago and laughed for 5 minutes straight all by myself and I keep coming back too it🤣
Tf did they do, she looked so much better before, and I don’t personally like her original clothes or hair, but at least they suited her, looked comfortable and were suitable for her age, the outfits and hair they did, wtaf!?!?

Having left 35 plus years in the fashion business in NYC..this is so wrong on SOOOOO many levels..I never thought that stylist had a lick of taste ever...and rude arrogant as hell.
Same (opinion, I'm English)... Many were just as bad, similar or worse. I used to love UK makeover shows, but most have truly awful results, even at the time. Trinny & Susanna, Gok Wan, the team behind the "makeunders" of Snog, Marry, Avoid? So bad.... I never understood how they almost always managed to make them look worse. Like, even bad for early 2000's & all its trends.

From a woman with a figure to a squared boxed crossdresser look; nope. It was easier to dye her hair red & style it differently; keeping her form fitting shapely clothes; in patterns & textures; not solid colors again.
A wide leg black suit and red heels would be beautiful on that lovely lady. The hair was all wrong. She can't even see because it's in her eyes. Ash blond and crew cut. Natural nude makeup and pop the eyes. How could they dress her like that and a teen haircut.
The patterned skirt was kind of weird - like something a teeny bopper would have worn. The end look sort of nakes it look like she's really uncomfortable, and even at the time, I hated the hair.

Yeah, ok, it's not great, but when it was filmed, it would've been perceived as really modern. I guarantee that in 10 years time, the fashionistas of today will be looking at pictures of themselves from 2020 and will not understand why they used to do that to their eyebrows. It happens to every generation.
