Lego Has made several changes and upgrades to Star Wars Minifigures, such as upgraded Clone Toopers, Stormtroopers, sets etc.
Some of these changes are good, and some of them are slightly worse
I compiled a list of what I think are some or the worst changes made to Lego Star Wars, whether it is with minifigures, sets, gwps etc

Didn't have time to finish this video yesterday so I could only release it today. As said previously, daily videos won't be that easy anymore with university starting soon, but I'll get as many out as possible, aiming for 4 to 5 a week Anyway, let me know what you thought of this video 👇

Yesss for realll I completely forgot to talk about that I usually don't move the helmets of my troopers all my figures are built and then placed in a collection display lmao so it took me a while to notice that in the first place 😭😂

I feel like most people would be fine with dual-molded Stormtrooper helmet if it had more of a separation between the eyes and the black line and make the helmet a little smaller

They can easily fix the clone helmet holes, they’ve done so before for the 2012 arc trooper. Just fix the positioning and remove the lower circle. There’s a pattern with Lego being able to do things in the past well but deciding to change things that were already working.

The printed kama is something I can't forgive but people complain too much about the helmet holes. They allow for so much customization.

I agree 100% I'm not really opposed to the helmet holes just mentioned it as I feel it is a massive topic in the community worth mentioning, but ultimately the kama is the real issue

i dont have much problems with stormtroopers or clones, but the kama bugs me because alot of characters in other themes with some sorta waist cape would've gotten a cloth waist peice instead of just printing, and characters in other themes usualy get the soft cape in most sets instead of just expensive ones, soft capes are usualy only seen in 100$+ sets

Very nice video ! I agree about stormtroopers but dont forget about the clone printing design itself 2014 was perfect 2020 is awful only the legs are good

Thanks mate! 2014 really was great yess the print was so much better I didn't talk about it because I actually don't mind the newer printing I like it a bit Definitely not as good as 2014 clones, but I think the current design works well with like clone wars clones, movie clones all clones essentially and I think lego made it in such a way that it works well and is the only clone look they have now compared to a clone wars style clone and movie style clone back in the day Hope that makes sense lmao, ultimately just my opinion on it too so

The worst thing is lego didn't make all the clone legion , battalions , corp accurate to the movie before the new design it didn't match the old version

I find once you start having a vareity of helmet types the stormtrooper helmets aren't as noticeable and have grown to kind of like them for the level of detail. That said for a long time I wasn't a fan of the new stormtrooper helmets especially because you can move them unless they also have a pauldron and backpack.

Yeah for real I used to like the helmet until I had one physically in my hand next to the previous version and could see the difference like that. Most people, including myself, just have a couple of storm troopers and so it definitely stands out like that, and not in a good way for me at least But the derail is nice I suppose

@@FortuneBrickssI feel like if they just had fixed the doors on the gunship to be more accurate it would be a 10/10 for me. It’s still a solid 8/10 regardless, though the Fox inclusion makes it the best Gunship available(Fox is my favorite commander).

the only bad things are downscaling, lack of physical kamas, oversized stormtrooper helmets and the price increase that wouldn't even match the previous prices for a rerelase of a set if we sum up inflation exc

You're definitely right I am not opposed to helmet holes and I considered not even mentioning it in the video, but it's a massive topic that I thought rather to touch on Mainly I am upset about the printed kana I can deal with helmet holes it's not that bad

Hot take: I really like the 2018 Rebel helmet and I still think it's even better than the one with the orange printed head, I wish the Arc-170 clone pilots Use the physical orange piece on the helmet in next year's set Now about the Star Destroyer being a little small compared to the others, I actually like it because it would be easier to assemble, but quick, and even relaxing, especially for those who don't have a lot of space in the house to stick in moments

Hmm it's a hot take but definitely fair. Maybe if we saw the helmet appear more I'd get to like it a little more, for now I still think it's kinda whacky Star destroyer being smaller isn't that much of an issue, i still think this is the best play scale star destroyer, the downstcale sets refer more to the Tie fighter and slave one, both are good sets too I just think their should be an option to have a normal sized set and a smaller one to buy 🤷‍♂️

At first I was fine with the Stormtrooper helmet, until I got one in person and compared it with the previous one, and I thought yeahh not that great. All the support means the world mate, you don't have to watch every video also just supporting whenever you can really is so awesome already :)

The dual molded helmets are pretty hit or miss. Lego has proven that they can make good dual molded helmets (scout troopers and resistance pilots), but I think that most important part is for them to not be oversized, like the stormtroopers or rebel pilots ones, or at least to be able to move them freely. I think is sad that we will not see a new better Biggs darklighter or mortar trooper anytime soon given the fact that they got the unlucky fate of being launched with the not-so-great version of their helmets… Great video btw, I just hope the next new dual-molded helmets that Lego will make don’t get the oversized treatment LOL

Thanks man! Yeah also the patrol Trooper I'm pretty sure is a dual molded helmet, and it looks so good too But yeah probably two of the more important helmets, especially storm Trooper being very important, they managed to mess up bad it's mad disappointing actually
