Also I would argue Envy, as event begets wrath, Envy of ones pride (which is a sin) Envy of ones Vanity(another. Sin) When you have envy, you most likely have another sin rooting from Envy.

Despite the contradictions and fallacies found in the Bible. I do think it does teach people to be moral upstanding individuals. Their is a lot of lessons I take from the Bible and use in my everyday life, the golden rule being the most prominent, even though I'm not Christian. Personally is Sloth it can conduce to the other sins, people bandon hopes can be turned into negative feelings, although Wrath is consideer inherentely bad, is a normal feeling just to stop whatever one is doing to inprove it, unlike Sloth with u always feel limited
@@doctordebate2023 yup a lazy life can conduce one to not care about a good lifestyle, and in general to care about important things, envy a similar can appear in situations like the Cain and Abel story, which can lead into Wrath, but theres no relations with Pride, Lust and Greed
This is an interesting viewpoint to see the discussion of deadly sins. I personally believe that it is Lust, Wrath and Envy that contain the worst consequences for humanity. Also, the discussion of religion always leads down to a slippery slope of name calling and ad hominems, so I’m glad to see you managed to go as far as you went without facing any backlash.
That's very true, ad hominems do tend to happen a lot with such a topic. Lumi and I are on good terms and if i ever "insult" someone, I'll do it with respect, banter, and still actually address the argument they give. Lumi is a very respectful individual so I knew I could trust them not to say anything in anger even if I heavily was critical of Christianity.
I argue that Pride and Wrath are 2 sides of the same coin. Pride being the cause or empowering the rest of the sins while Wrath being the consequences of indulging in the rest of the sins.
Interesting perspective, but indulging in gluttony for example doesn't seem like it'd be Wrath. Wrath is definitely destructive actions, but I wouldn't take it as consequences, because that would imply that Wrath is never a sin that is committed, rather a sin given to you and inflicted onto you as a result of other sins, which doesn't make sense, because it goes that a sin is an action against God, and if Wrath is a consequence alone it could not be an action, and if we take it as a consequence that makes you do violent things, then this violates the idea you have autonomy and free will which goes against the Christian narrative.
@@doctordebate2023 Im not a native english speaker so i think i worded it badly, what i mean is something like this: someone who indulge in Gluttony like a addict having that taking away by someone creating Wrath. Over and over i seen people who overindulge in the rest of the sins being more wrathful of course that doesn't mean that people who indulge in sin will be consume by wrath, it depends on the person but just like how pride seem to empower the rest of the sins, wrath seem to be created more easily by people who indulge in sin.

Envy Requires You To Want Something And Others To Not Have It, This Is Mainly Only Caused By Thinking You Deserve It, If You Think Highly Of Yourself Thats Pride. The Amount Of Disrespect And Ungratefulness Is So Bad It's Crazy, Of Course They Deserved To Get Punished. Now About The Flood, The WHOLE WORLD Was So Sinful That Everybody Was Committing Sins Left And Right Tons Of Times A Day, If God Tried To Do Anything With How Humans Have Free Will Nothing Would Work, So Alas A Reset Of The World Was The Smartest Decision. Ok Now Onto The Bear Incident, Elijah Cursed Them In The Lords Name, Which Means God Didn’t Even Do It. Also They Were Mauled, That Doesn’t Necessarily Mean They Died. @terrorsDomain firstly, I appreciate your response, but I'd appreciate paragraphs instead of a block of text. To address the sins, you can be greedy, but that's not to say you believe you deserve it. It doesn't have to be the case. Being greedy is to describe wanting something excessively , you do not have to think you deserve money, but you may want it anyway. Same with envy, and wrath, gluttony, and lust. I emphasise lust here because consent exists. Sloth is not about thinking you deserve to be lazy. As I said in the video, laziness can be caused by bad mental health like depression. It'd be bad to claim that all depressed people are actually people who believe they deserve to be lazy. That's a harmful narrative. Also, one point I should've mentioned in the video, laziness could be caused by being overworked which is understandable. This is nothing to do with pride as most people who are lazy feel guilty about it, so I don't think they believe they have the right not to work. Sure there'll be arrogant exceptions, but this is not the majority. Now for God....You say it was fulfilling to serve God because God said so. And his word is absolute. This is untrue today though, as I have "served God" being a Christian before, and I've never found that fulfilling. And my story is similar to many other atheists, so clearly God saying so is not enough. (If Satan was made to be perfect, then I dont understand why he'd sin. Unless angels like humans are bound to sin because of free will which would contradict the goodness of heaven. ) The only reason why Satan would challenge God seemingly out of nowhere would be if his treatment was inadequate, or that it wasn't actually fulfilling to worship God which proves a point here that God likely isn't as perfect as he is portrayed. You say if God tried to do anything with how humans have free will nothing would work yet in the tower of babble, he infringed on everyone's free will to be able to communicate clearly to build this tower to heaven. He has intervened before and can intervene again. Also if Elijah cursed them in the LORD'S name, is it Elijah calling the bears, or is it God? Does Elijah have the power of summoning bears just because he's God's prophet, and if it wasn't God directly then it would be indirectly as who gave Elijah this power initially? Also pretty sure they only insulted Elijah for being bald, nothing to do with disgracing God.

I Also Currently Have No Good Response So You Get This One. Now More On Satan, We Know Angels Were Made To Be Near Perfect Morally, I However Said Perfect Which Is My Bad, We Can Assume This Because, You Know The Angels Have Done Bad Things Time And Time Again. It Just The Things Satan Did Were So Vile That They Were Not Acceptable In Terms Of That They Were Way Too Bad For A Being Like Him. Also We Know For A Fact That People Who Are Treated Fairly Can Still Want More Due To Their Pride, We See It In Many Examples Around The World And Even In The Bible, This Is Just Due To People Being Flawed But Satan Took His Pride So Far And Started A Whole Rebellion Even Though We Know He Was Treated Good (In The Bible Narrative And Using These Examples It Makes More Sense) Simply Put It, Pride Makes People Think They Should Be Better Or Higher Then they Should Be, Even If They Have Good Treatment And Can Make Them Protest Or Rebel For More. Now With The Babel Example, He Didn't Actually Remove Their Free Will, He Just Changed Their Languages. With The Noah Situation However, He'd Have To Actually Mess With There Free Will And With Great Extents. We Have Seen God Mess With Free Will But God Only Messes With It A Bit, With The Noah Situation He'd Have To Mess With It A Lot. Although You Can Make Arguments On Whether Or Not Messing With Free Will Is The More Morally Correct Then Literally Killing Everybody. Now With The Elijah Part, Basically In The Bible Are Tongue Is Powerful, And What We Declare Is Powerful. Because Of This And The Fact Elijah Had A Lot Of Authority His Declarations Essentially Cursed Them, He Declared This In The Name Of The Lord But That Doesnmt Mean The Lord Wanted It. And Since God Said That The Tongue Holds Power He Had To Keep His Word. Also When I Was Writing That First Comment I Was Very Sleepy And Gave False Info. @@doctordebate2023 It should be fulfilling because it has meaning. What good do you get out of sin? None. Leads to the exact opposite. It leads to no true value or meaning, and only feels good in the moment. also God gave us free will for a reason. It was either we got a choice, or we would just be robots under His command, cause He very much well could just FORCE us into following him. But He loves us too much to do so, and Satan made the choice to, otherwise if he didn't have free will, he'd be, as what you argued in this video, worthless and have no true meaning to exist. He'd just be a robot under God's command if he didn't have free will. So in all honesty, it'd be worse if we didnt have free will, no? and adding a 3rd, 4th, or whatever more option isnt any better, because God is good, and is all powerful. why? because that's what He has shown. in all reality, there is no "wrong" option to choose. it is simply up to the being or person with free will to decide: "do i want to be with God? Or away from God?" Cause none of us except Him are perfect. this isnt really for the actual topic of the video, more rather the whole dive into how some of the things God does are sinful and what not
wanting what other people have is one thing but saying someone doesnt deserve it is also a very terrible thing (im pretty sure envy involves hating someone for what they have which is also very bad) and a few other reasons
@@doctordebate2023 it also takes away from personal growth and development instead of trying to improve yourself envy makes it so that a person shifts focus towards what other people have and it is also often considered the root of other sins like greed and wrath. It can fuel a desire for material possessions or social status at the expense of others, leading to unethical behavior.
i think the seven deadly sins are fucking stupid. to ascribe one sin as the worst is to try and take the easy way out when it comes to justice and judging, “wrath is the worst of the seven. this man murdered, thus he must be even worse than say a common rapist or even a pedophile.” speaking of which, the average person who rapes a child, out of lust of course, is liable to have caused more damage than the man who killed. whats to say that the victim of that pedophile wont kill or do unto others that same pain? then you must take into account the second hand victims of those crimes, the family and friends of the murdered and the raped, and try to decipher how they act on average. historically, it is easier to stop a cycle of murder than it is to stop a cycle of rape. you can often stop a cycle of murder once the murderer is punished or killed, adding only one victim after the original, the murdered. someone who is raped will likely go on to have many victims, in many different ways. if we are going off of the widely accepted definition of a sin, then lust might have a wider, and more damaging impact on the universe than wrath. but nobody can say for certain, and it is silly to encompass all of sin within seven standard motives for sin. also, your argument for wrath very quickly degraded into “god has mostly sinned in a wrathful manner, so wrath must be the worst sin.” god is one made up entity, while billions of humans have sinned in many different ways, or simply committed actions that can be regarded as sins. which is why i say the seven sins are stupid. can anyone even tell me what sin a paranoid man might commit? it can be a multitude of different sins, all stemming from one thought or feeling
Interesting thought. In terms of sins I would not say a murderer is worst than a pedophile due to which sin is worse. I too would look at the effects, as you did. I do agree also that I went on a bit of a tangent. However it'd interesting to see examples of a sin god himself technically committed, especially one specific type of sin, powerful enough that God who's supposedly all loving, yet did these actions. A sin no one has not not committed.
none of the seven deadly sins are the "most" sinful anyway. wherever sin is, god's grace abounds much more. Heaven is living with God for eternity, Hell/Lake of Fire is living away from him for eternity
Have you ever considered that beeing an angel, hell, a princilality, wouldn't be so bad? I assume you have taken most of this information from the Bible. The Bible is not necessarily an enciclopedia containing detailed information about things like what happened when satan became basically the devil, but rather it has information to help up, humans, follow Christ and fight sin. Besides, you don't know to understand how your enemy became evil in order to defeat him. Edit: also, do you actually realise how easy it is to fall in the grasp of lust today? You're litterally a google search away from pictures with naked women. And there are many other ways to reach pornographic material.

I agree that lust has lead to dark paths like assault but because this is not a majority, I don't see it as the worst sin
