I feel like I'm noticing over the last couple of years since the pandemic that a lot of companies are increasing their prices but the quality is just going downhill! I've noticed it not just with some makeup but with other many other things. I feel like corporate greed has a lot to do with this
SO incredibly true! Makeup, Skincare, clothing, furniture appliances, Matress’s & even CARs …. Things seem to be lacking quality, often made with/from cheap materials …I’m often left wondering if it’s on purpose, “nothing is made to last” so you’ll have to repurchase items over and over. I remember my grandparents had the same appliances forever, like 20 years or more. I’ve purchased 2 washers in the past 4 years! Repairing &/or parts end up being so expensive, often better off just purchasing new….
I see this as well. Make up, skin care, clothing, etc. Also prices have gone up for smaller amounts (groceries are the number one thing I can think of)
@@vee533 i think the 1st one is favorable because you can use all shades for both face and eye while the 2nd one has some non-face shades that are too soft to be used as pigmented colorful eyeshadow.
It's hilarious to me how Nikkie tutorials supposedly wore 1 of those Maybelline shadow blocks on her wedding day, when they are being slammed by everyone else I've seen review them 😂
What really irks me about ALL of these (and other crappy products) palettes is the sheer amount of landfill they create 😡. Why on earth do some brands insist on constantly churning out rubbish, surely it would be more profitable to release two very good collections twice a year perhaps? Much love, 💙☃️💙☃️💙
Thanks for being honest about those essence 6 pans. I have the coral one and I like two of the mattes and the rest is lackluster. Every RU-vidr raves about them just because they’re cheap. But as you said, they’re not worth it.
Viseart is a bit hit or miss for me. I loved the dark edit mini palette and the liason palette, but I hated another one, forgot the name, a twelve pan with a blue in it. And I have the petit four Violetta, and I do love that one, but there's one shade in it, gorgeous shade, but gives me tons of fallout and is quite hard to work with. So I do feel like I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Viseart.
These crazy fans, how old are they tweens? Come on people get a grip it's friggin eyeshadow, not National Security!! Stop threatening people over makeup, it's not that serious!
I really like the rest of the light works 4 palette but I too cannot use the 4 giant pans. The formula of the flakes 🤷🏼♀️ idk I cannot pick it up with anything and then put it back down onto my eyes lol. Having older lids, the water activated look really crunchy on me .
Thanks for saving me from that Artists Couture palette Morgan - I saw the colour story and thought that would be the Artists Couture palette for me, but watched your video first so decided not to buy. I’d have bought it in particular for the shimmers, so I’m so glad I didn’t buy it.
I am about to just give up on Too Faced. Their holiday launch this year was a joke and I haven’t gotten a palette that I’ve loved from them in several years. When they started making their palettes smaller and jacking up the price at the same time I lost a lot of respect, but now I’ve noticed the quality has also gone way down.
If money is an issue color pop is typically good for what you pay for it. If you want to invest in a couple of really good eyeshadow palettes typically Natasha denona is the best quality you don't have to do a lot of blending to get it to look good and they will last for a while. Just do your research before you purchase and make sure that the color palette your purchasing works for what you want to use it for
I'm so glad, I don't own any of these palettes. I enjoy indie brands more! I did but the Danessa Myricks lightworks Vol. 111, (the smaller on and it's banging!
Good thing I have nothing on the list lol 😆. But I love my 6 pan essence palettes love the dancing green and bronzed this way the most. Couldn't make the mauve palette work for me. But I love the jacyln and morphe palette it's a good netural everyday palette but I'm a warm toned girl who loves that color story
I just noticed (today) the same things about my Hindash pallet. I was not pleased and I had to scrape it. I also don't like using my fingers so it still hard panned.
You should try the other essence eyeshadow palettes.. it may be that particular color story cause I have not tried that one. But the others like the neutrals and pinkish color palette and green worked well for me. Anyway love your videos! Stay warm I see FL gonna be cold for Christmas weekend just as me here in coastal NC!!
i reallly love these videos but the only thing i dont enjoy is denoting lesser quality items as “drug store quality.” i understand the idea but drugstore doesnt necessarily equate to poor quality. also too, i only know drugstore quality, so im unsure what exactly is meant by luxury brands being described as “drugstore quality” when denoting a product as a lesser quality.
Hi Morgan good morning happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
I think the reason people mention you mentioning the color story is because many people automatically assume you purchased all these pallets yourself thus seeing the color story before purchasing. Nobody buys a pallet if they don’t like the color story unless to review and even some reviewers won’t buy a pallet if they don’t like the color story to begin with..I personally would rather not watch a review if I’m not interested in the color story myself..I think it’s unfair to a brand to buy their pallet to review knowing you don’t like the color story and will be rating it lower because of your preference..personally think the Danessa pallet is way over priced. It looks cheap for the price. Of course I always compare that price point to PML and that pallet ain’t a mothership.
The most overhyped/over rated palette for me was both Patrick ta palettes for $68. I bought the first palette and fell in love with how sleek it was. I think it was pigmented at the time too when I searched them. So I bought the second one too. I noticed the metallic shadows don’t grip onto my brush or my finger. Both palette dried up on me in less than a month. I have to use the Nyx glitter glue and for $68 I think it’s sad. It burns my eyes too so I just decluttered them. Does anyone else have the same problem?
So sad that you have to like do a disclaimer for All the people who will hate if u don't love what they love 😂 totally see Morgan being canceled some day over loving a brand, it's gotten horrible out there but I appreciate your honesty very much 😊
Have to disagree about the ND 10 pan. It’s one of my favorite palettes of hers (I have the full large and midi line and tried them all). Never had an issue blending and I get the most compliments when wearing it. But I use those top row jewel tones as one shadow smoky eyes. It is an older release, you may have gotten an older palette.
I disagree about the palette from Natasha Denona. I have it and it is just fine ( and I've had it for a while). Maybe you got a dud. But I totally agree with you on the essence palette. Essence has really been slacking the past two years or so.
I have been listing after the Too Faced Born This Way palette for a while, but I haven’t seen anyone rave about it! Recently I made my own neutral palette with my singles, and I am in LOVE with it, so that’s satisfying me for now lol. Also the Blendbunny Dollhouse palette is my favorite neutral palette I’ve ever used.
That palette got good reviews back when it came out 3 years ago... so much so that they made another one. I suspect that those indie shadows are better though!
I’m saying it again about Too Faced it’s Estée Lauder’s fault who’s slowly trying to get rid of competition by destroying famous brands they’ve brought like Too Faced for example by destroying their quality and making themself better and now about Danessa Myricks I’ve heard people in general hating her chrome flakes formula and the fact she hasn’t even improved her formula on them in who knows long just proves she just doesn’t care about criticism feedback at all and I hate when brands can’t take feedback and keep going the ignorant route
I feel like you are missing out on some excellent quality drug store eyeshadow! Not all brands are created the same. As far as the Essence - it depends on the color story, but elf and Wet and Wild have some better than high end quality - check out the elf bite size pallette - I think you will like them.
She is not a snob. She is discerning and won’t let garbage pass with her approval. She dissects a palette and will tell you the good and the bad- and even if it’s just not for her. Some of us appreciate that. Stick around with an open mind- you may learn something.
@@kathleenem9207 I would disagree. Listen to Morgan’s vidoes from a couple yrs ago…or even a year…and compare to today. She is sounding very pretentious and it’s downright cringey at times. I watch for swatches, etc. for new launches. But she has become a bit full of herself for my taste.
I disagree. A makeup reviewer who says every palette is good (when they are not) has no value at all. Otherwise, how will you know which one are worth your money if she just says everything is good? I’d be so annoyed if I bought an expensive makeup product cause the reviews said it was good and it wasn’t. Keep being honest Morgan.
