Monday Night Football is normally a universally loved event that concludes the week of football and is usually played by deserving teams with exciting players. But there was nothing exciting about the hell unleashed on one October night in New Jersey.
On October 21st, 2013, the 1-4 Minnesota Vikings went to Metlife Stadium to play the New York Giants on what was supposed to be a good Monday Night game, at least before the season that is. In 2012 the two teams combined for a 19-13 record, nothing to sneeze at but indicative that they'd at least be worthy of a decent primetime game.
Instead, what we got wasn't just worse than the Dolphins-Steelers Monday Night Game from 2007, but also the worst Monday Night game of all time in my opinion. Whether you agreeor not is your decision, but when I saw this live I experienced as little enjoyment from a game of football as I can remember. I've never seen a primetime game as bad, nor do I think I'll ever see one as unpleasant ever again.
Enjoy. Or not.
