Yes. we love sweet and sour things and lemonade is the sweet and sour nectar of the Gods. An omni potent Omnipotent potion. A god in its own right. The gospel of Lemonade vast in these lands. We praise the partaking of our deity Lemonade. !!! BLESSED BE THE LEMONADE FOR LEMONADE IS THE TRUE ONE DRINK ABOVE ALL !!! Okay, all jokes aside lemonade is extremely popular here.
Fun fact! The barcodes are scanable. My partner works at the Blue mart and a customer got a item without the label, and they had the minibrand of the same item in their bag. Bam scanned the mini brand toy, and it brought up the actual item on the register.
Disagree. I have a pitcher of pink lemonade in my fridge all summer, sometimes with raspberries or strawberries in it! The frozen concentrate stuff, though. It's a family tradition!
I've stood in Target looking at those mini brands thinking how cute they are, but then realizing I have no use for them. What do I do with them? But they're mini and thus adorable.
I brought one of the toy ones for the hell of it and sold off the two Nickelodeon ones I got for more than the ball was worth. People just really like collecting them
I’m so glad I stopped buying mystery box promo’s. It’s too expensive & too much waste. > The companies want to entice the consumers to keep trying- to get their favorites. > It’s the same psychology behind gambling casinos!!
I've never understood why people would spend money on something they may or may not want. I think the entire surprise box industry is a scam. I'm on a tight budget & frugal though, so it's hard for me understand spending money on something that's not needed or a specifically wanted. To me it's a "rich person's hobby" who else can afford to throw away money like that.
@@nilawarriorprincess Same. I will absolutely not pay money to get matchbox size cardboard boxes. But watching Jackie opening this and getting frustrated is fun 😅
I agree! I don't even buy those kind of mystery stuff. It's a marketing push to get people buying. Same with LOL Surprise; they spread to different companies like Pez
If you went by these as a representation of grocery stores, you'd think we're all just drinking Country Time lemonade with scoops of McCormick spices in them and Blue Diamond almonds on the side.
I made root beer cookies and cupcake frosting with it 🙈 my hubby and kiddos loved it (im allergic to root beer so I dont know for sure how it tasted) and my hubs also likes to make booze and homemade ice cream with this stuff as well
I'm guessing that rootbeer is a mini for liquid extract. If so, that box is HUGE. WAAAAAAAAAAAY out of line with the scale of the other items. That would be like a half gallon or more of concentrate.
The Lemonade thing definitely seems to be the case in the southern part of the US where I live. Like, every gathering that I've gone to, the only nonalcoholic beverages that are available are lemonade and sweet tea, and there are gallons of the stuff. Not really the case when I've gone up north to visit family there.
And lemonade is a seriously thing down here too. You don't just dump a ton of sugar, squeeze some lemons, add some water and then call it a day. You need to make a simple syrup. Some people may even use honey. But using granulated sugar? That's a big time no-no. Then there's a sweet spot of the ratio of lemon juice, which must be freshly squeezed to water. Everyone has their own secret recipe for that ratio depending on which type of lemons used and whether you use tap water or bottled water. Making lemon is an art in itself.
I don't think that's it. I'm southern too, and can honestly say I have never seen anyone have a pitcher of lemonade. The non-alcoholic options you speak of were usually tea, soda or water. But never lemonade. Not at school celebrations, not at church, home, family gatherings, friends houses, festivals etc. Obviously it varies from person to person but as a girl as southern as pie, I don't think it's strictly a "southern thing".
@@Cre8tive_Always Are you Coastal Southern? Because having lived across the South, I find the Coastal ones, like the ones from Virginia Beach and on up are more like MidAtlantic like Maryland and Rhode Island than Southern like Georgia and South Carolina. I grew up in Virginia Beach and 7-11 Slushees were a bigger draw than lemonade. Then I moved further inland and then headed South and that's where lemonade became a thing. Everywhere. So much lemonade. Sometimes it over took sweet tea as the hot day beverage of choice.
@@mekkio77 I'm from the PNW. Our lemonade has to be flavored here. Raspberry, Acai, Strawberry, Blueberry. So, we have it here as well, just flavored and sometimes in tea form....
I find Velveeta to be very bland compared to Kraft. I bought one of the Velveeta dinners, specifically the chicken cheddar broccoli variety, and was incredibly disappointed by how flavorless it was. Maybe it would be better with more heavily seasoned chicken, but considering that the kit came with seasoning already I didn't think it would be necessary. Hoping the Alfredo version is better.
I think Velveeta is one of those things that you either love it or hate it. I’m in the hate it category. My favorite food is baked mac & cheese, so the closer to that texture the better, in my opinion. Velveeta is the opposite end of the spectrum, and it’s got a bit of a chemical taste to me. Those who like it, more power to you. Just not for me.
I used to like Velveeta but now I think the store off-brand tastes so much better. I prefer my homemade mac & cheese but we will use the store bought ones in a pinch.
I had a block of Velveeta in the fridge for, I kid you not, several years and it never molded or changed in any way. I'll never eat that frankenfood, that's unnatural.
I can't wait for mini brands to be done. Its literally just ads in 3d that people pay for. Plus the amount of plastic for the packaging is bananas. No morreeee 🤪 I only watch and like because its Jackie!
Leerdammer is a cheese variety you can buy in Germany. The packaging looks very similar, the 'classic' variety is "nutty and mild", looks rather true to the original
@@Hexx.cosplay I'd love it more if they hadn't gone the way of scammy cheesemongers. one slice less, 50 cents more expensive... love the pepper one though
I feel like Velveeta should actually change their box to be the shiny gold. It's very *on brand with their "liquid gold" branding and looks kinda nice imo.
I m confused about the recycling need. How about using these in crafts? Save the top connector and reassemble. Then decorate! If nothing else customized holiday decorations.
Hey Jackie, French grain here! The "French cheese" you opened is called "Port-Salut", we actually use it in the saying "C'est écrit dessus, comme le Port-Salut" which rhymes in "U". It roughly translates to "it's written on it, just like Port-Salut" and it's used when someone asks a very obvious question... Which makes the fact that you asking what it was even funnier haha
@@vampyrekyng_lex I think it's more common in France than Canada as most cheeses are unfortunately, but it's very sweet, ferm but melts in your mouth and it has nice nuts and smoked undertones!
In sweden it is catogarised as a "hardcheese" and is naturally lactosefree if it has been stored long enough (by the ones that makes them) , and the colour is an additive(like caroten ect) which makes it unlike the french one, safe for pregnant women to eat.
Jackie where can you get the Japanese collection? looks amazing and love the fact you can actually complete it. I find it so irritating you can never complete a collection (I'm UK but its the same they make it too expensive, or impossible) if you have a link please do share it. 👍
Oh yeah, here in CA we love our 🍋 ade. Add it to unsweetened iced tea. Yummy...lol We have lots of different ones as well. Raspberry lemonade, peach lemonade, strawberry lemonade, etc. The Valetta Mac and Chz is REALLY good. Dice up some ham and add it, or bacon. Idk what you do with all those mini products but you could make a food dragon sitting on its horde, or a food monster devouring them... LOL just a thought
Every time I see a video from Nerdecrafter with the word "mystery", I say to myself: "Oh, Jackie, you've done it again!" I love watching these, but I always feel a bit sorry when you get the same item more than once. 😁
I've had experience with the gold one just once and I got 4 golds and then a rose gold. Probably just luck buy I was happy with it! And I've opened many, many mini brands before as well.
These unboxings are always so fun to watch, but what always bothered me about these is the amount of plastic. Glad to hear you say that most of the packaging is recyclable.
My kids absolutely love "Mini Brands" , but they are way too expensive for what they are. As for the Cinnamon question, I am allergic, so no Cinnamon for me lol
I remember Country Time lemonade when I was a kid. My grandma's friend would either give us kids that or Kool-aid, both extremely watered down. But honestly I never really cared for that brand. It's extremely artificial tasting and I just wasn't a fan. I feel like it's the same thing with the spices. They are pushing things that aren't that popular. But maybe that's just me.
@CrazyPanda! I don't see what that has to do with my comment. I actively comment and like videos on channels I follow. Just because I don't personally post on my channel has nothing to do with me being able to comment on things.
@lazy homebody right? Some people have nothing better to do I guess. But maybe if people want to talk crap, they should make sure their channel isn't empty lol.
Serious question With your back problems, who picks up the stuff from the floor you or you make Pat do it ? Just curious 😁 Btw hope you're feeling much better
I’m like 90% sure that the reason there’s so much detail on the packaging it’s because they’re actually being lazy and taking the print file for the big box and just printing it smaller 😂
"You put cinnamon on anything and I'm ok with it..but some people diSPICE it." Love ya Jackie. Those collectible toys always go a-breaking our hearts, so it's best to save our hearts the pain and not expect rares.
As an American I would say "eh?" To the lemonade obsession. I know it's a pretty common drink here (as common as soda) and some places make special lemonades, but I don't think it's a nationwide passion necessarily. I personally am a big fan of it though!
Hi I love your channel can you do more videos with sekia like more cash or trash videos? Ps I love neerdy nerd it’s so funny because RU-vid says 10 comments even though there’s probably like 100 and one of my favorite parts of this video is that she says textured for your pleasure and her face is hilarious! 😏😂❤️😋
I selfishly SO want you to get more because you’re exactly right about American collections… I don’t have the money to purchase them and I absolutely have to see what the Rose Gold one looks like!
Hey! I'm from germany and you can Leerdammer Cheese in most supermarkets here. It's tasty and one if my favorite brands! (Although I'm lactose intolerant, I love cheese too much haha)... also the sound when you open these is so satisfying alskfbal. Oh, I'm one of the people that don't like cinnamon at all. It feels like it's coating the full inside mouth when I eat something with cinnamon and no, just no, sorry.
As an amerigrain, I would say I make up majority of the lemonade drinking 🤣🤣🤣 a lot of people put lemon and sweetener in their water for a healthier version too☺️
Absolutely yes, at least I LOVE LEMONADE & have since childhood. That brand of County Time lemonade was one of my favorites as a child I especially enjoyedthe pink lemonade version. As an adult I avoid the processed lemonade in favor in the more tart homemade style.
Can we get a video on how you make your own spices? I didn’t know that was a thing. Also, real lemonade made with real lemons is delicious. Country Time lemonade is a punishment. I hate when you go to a restaurant and they say they have fresh squeezed lemonade and it’s freaking Country Time..
As far as Velveeta goes, my grandmother always makes a simple mac 'n' cheese on the stove top whenever I come over. It's really good, and I'm not the only grandchild that loves it.
As an Ameri-grain most people don't like the "taste" of water. So they add powders thinking it's still mostly water but in actuality it's just sugar or chemical Sugers like sorbitol. 💗
i think mystery stuff is fun to open but its definitely always cheaper to just buy the things you actually want instead of buying a million mystery bags/boxes/balls
As an Amerigrain who is from Florida I can confirm that lemonade is a popular drink. I will however go further in depth and let you know Jackie, that the powder lemonade heavily promoted by mini brands is the worst lemonade you will ever taste. You gotta get that good fresh-squeezed, not too sweet and just the right amount of sour lemonade. So.... Chick-fil-A lemonade 😂👍
Leerdammer is a dutch brand also sold here in germany. We have a US-Store in my town and they sell Country Time lemonade Powder there and I kinda love it! The pink lemonade as well as the normal one
I'd love to see you revive the turning RU-vidrs into things and you do graveyard loon. That would be awesome. Edit: also the Shopkins real littles seem better value and more Interesting than mini brands to me too.
I love the idea of mini brands and think they'd work perfectly for a lot of my doll collection.. but sooo pricey!!! 🙄 And very salty for how many duplicates you are getting.... Thanks for taking the hit for us!
I like the taste of cinnamon, but not the smell. Every Christmas season the stores have those cinnamon scented pine cones and the smell is over powering. It ruined the smell for me.
I really like your content, but what really makes me sad is the huge amount of plastic of those packagings😔 As recycling quotes are really low most of this stuff will end up somewhere ruining our nature😢
I love you jackie great content in my opinion mini brands are a waste of money they are just a bit of cardboard or plastic with a companys logo on it 😳😳😳 they are really cool
@@grannym2880 Yeah I do that 2. I also use polymer clay & pray 2 the gods of evermore when baking them.1 time I didn't, I burnt all the pieces I put inside. I was gutted😭. Never made that mistake again. ☠🤣☠
I really like this set of miniatures. You can stick with Kraft Mac & Cheese, because the Velveeta isn't all that great and yes, I am lemonade obsessed and my family makes fun of me because of it.
Hi Jackie, for the price of the balls here in the USA ($10 each), I found it not worth it. The rose gold ones are ultra rare. If anyone is wondering, if you can shake the ball, it sounds like only 4( or u feel it feels heavier) it is a ball with a accessory ( cart, shelf etc)
I'd be interested to know if the gold items are exclusive to this series, or if they are the rare versions of other series. If they're exclusive to this series, then this series is no different than the others, you just pay a lot more for the gold details.
Omg Yay!!! Hi Jackie! Can't wait to watch this. Me and my dad love your videos. You always brighten my day with how funny you are. Have an amazing day 💜
I think it's a proper swizz that Mini Brands ones don't even open or have anything inside. Also they should guarantee at least one Rose Gold item instead of simply enticing you to spend more money. 🙃 Leerdammer is yummy! It makes great cheese toasties. 😋🥪
“That was super fun and I really enjoyed it. And also no one was rushing you. Lol” Baby Girl. ❤️ We love you Jackie!! Happy Friday!! Great video as always. Xoxox
I hate how much plastic there is in the packaging. So useless and wasteful! And is the product not playing on a gambling addiction? Not knowing what we'll get, the chance aspect of it... I feel like it is so wrong in so many ways. I love the thrill of the unknown, but for something to be so wasteful and yet so pricy, am I the only one that it rubs the wrong way? I feel like it became a trend in american toys lately ; doing mystery toys wrapped in an ungodly amount of plastic for the trendy aspect of it. The dolls with big head and baby like appearances do the same, and I see more and more of it. Maybe I will sound like a boomer but it kinds of worries me that this is actually a trend. It does feel like gambling to me, sort of, and it's so un-environnement friendly... Maybe I'm wrong? I hope I'm wrong.
I just bought legitimate Root Beer extract (it's like Vanilla extract in liquid form but root beer).I love root beer and found recipes for Rootbeer float fudge, truffles and meringues. I didn't get around to it like I had planned so I'm hoping to make the fudge for Valentine's day. I love minis but you're right, the scale would be better if it was 1 : 12 . Fun video! I'll have to see if I can find some of these!
Port Salut is neither Brie nor Camembert, it a mild, semi soft cheese with an orange rind that's also delicious. I heartily recommend you try it, it's gorgeous!
Jackie, Jackson, Jack in the Box, Cracker Jack, Jack of all Trades!! Love you, love your channel, love it that it's YOUR money going into this investigational research. BTW--Velveeta all the way. ❤
Jackie! I know what you could do in a future video!! you can pick a few snacks from the mini brands that you've never tried, find them and taste them with Sika!!!!!
Over the holiday I bought one mystery mini, my friend did too and it was inspired by your series here. Those things are addictive. As for Velveeta it’s the best!!
Quite entertaining, my dear, and it’s nice to see someone warning folks off of these things. Perhaps you or graveyard loon could make a Barbie homeless camp out of the boxes, furthering the concept that $18 could be better used to help others. Peace.
First of all your hating on one of the most positive, friendly, energetic person. Second of all what are you doing to help?? Hating online isn’t a very good my dear.
If it comforts you, Susan, Jackie has mentioned that she does donate a lot of what she buys for the shows to children's charities. She also recycles and mentions factors like unnecessary waste and environmentally unsafe materials in her reviews. She has adopted a rescue bird, and treats him well. I know of many things that she does to help others and the earth. What do you do that makes you qualified to shame another person's hobby?
Mini brands and shopkins are so addicting!! I swear the company KNOWS how addicting they are and KNOWS ppl will spend all their money trying to get the whole collection/the rares/ultra rares… when I first discovered shopkins I was a little obsessed with trying to get certain ones/rares.. in all the things (the mini collectible blind boxes) I still have certain ones that I would love to get… but I’m not longer spending too much money trying to get them… partly because I can’t at the moment and partly because I’m tired of wasting money and having so many of the same item 😂🤷🏼♀️
Hey Jackie (Nerdecrafter), I wanted to stop a moment and tell you that my kids and I really appreciate you. I've seen that many of my favorite youtubers are struggling lately for various reasons. It's reminded me that I need to make sure I show my appreciation for everything you guys do. I'm celebrating the 20year anniversary of my RA,Fibromyalgia, Narcolepsy diagnosis (es?). As person that has chronic pain, socializing is especially hard. But youtube has helped me feel like I was still connected to the world. It has kept my mind busy. Taught me new skills that I could do when I could no longer work. Because of you Jackie my kids ages 9, 7 , and 7, and I have tried polymer clay, air dried clay, and resin. We hope you will do another craft kit since we missed out on the last one! Plaster is our next project. 😃. What you guys do is very special. You bring a way for me to connect with my kids through art. Which is very helpful during the current isolation we are all feeling. It gives us an emotional outlet. Thank you for being amazing. Btw: my kids have been saying " in the trash" every time they throw something away for about 2 years now. When they are frustrated they do the saltiness intensifies face and hands. They confused their Aunt over the summer by constantly singing figure it out when she pulled out the Crayola kits she brought. And then " includes everything you need". Which resulted in her having to watch 2 hours of cash or trash videos lol. PS. My daughter wants to know when Sika is coming back. And can salty crafter come back more like she used to.
Amerigrain from New Jersey, no. We aren't obsessed with lemonade. In fact, myself, none of my friends, my brother, or his friends have had ACTUAL lemonade in years. If we feel the need to have something with lemonade it's Arizona's Arnold Palmer, half lemonade, half iced tea. But that's just the Northeast, it's possible the south likes lemonade more than the north, BUT I know the south would probably prefer sweet tea over lemonade.
Omg, I haven’t had Velveeta in a long time! Am hungry now. I think there’s more in the box than Kraft and it’s also considerably more creamy. I don’t remember why I stopped eating Velveeta, maybe because of my lactose intolerance, but now I have Lactaid!
Ameri-grain here. I think the lemonade obsession is a southern thing. I'm from the North but I have southern relatives who almost always have lemonade in their cabinets lol
I have a theory about these. I think brands actually pay this company basically as advertisement. Or maybe they asked for the rights and worked out a deal, but I basically think that's why there's often a little collection of each brand. Honey Bunches of Oats may have had someone represent them to work with Mini Brands on their collection that would be apart of the Mini Brands collection as a whole, ya know what I mean? So I feel that's why some of them are so blurred and stock photo-y with their labels or perhaps cheaper in appearance; I think some brands maybe were more proactive with the design team or gave clearer images to work with rather than have Mini Brands do it all themselves. Idk, just a theory LOL
