After many long nights and hard days getting the cars ready, it was time to head down to Wales for a long awaited fun green laning adventure...at least that's what we thought it would be! 🙈
From the start, we were met with tight lanes, huge trees, rocks, 40 degree angles and many many scratchy branches...no ideal for any car, but especially our new V6 Touareg Escape 😩
How far will the team get down some of the worst lanes in the uk??

First day was panful to watch! Last day was pretty cool with beautiful scenery. Better weekends off-roading will surely come, these things can happen, glad you managed to find an exit for that tight spot!

I liked this as a kid, and couldn't resist taking even my bikes off road. I did use my daughters 125, that broke. 😂 I have an old GSX 750 thinking set of motocross tires. Can I follow anyone around Canterbury area.

my fav truck for laning was my land cruiser..it never got stuck no matter how hard I tried, unlike the discovery or the hilux which would get stuck every time at least once :D

Well lads lm watching this now ridiculous trail now. The 4x4's are getting wrecked not good enough West Wales Landers need to rethink there routes 😑. Sorry to say lads but the time and money invested in the Overland projects for this carnage!

@@driveguyNigel's New defender was like new when he removed the PPF. Buy something you don't care too much about or Raptor something if it's a big deal.

My car is PPF' covered. There are different thickness of PPF, I opted for the thickest I could buy, it "heals" a lot slower than the thinner ones, but it is pretty durable less likely to mark in the first place. I've done lanes that were pretty scratchy, and emerged ok. If the vegetation is soft to moderate, you're ok. Anything hard, like a thick tree branch or such, get the saw out...

maybe dont take a IFS Suv to offroading and bring an actual decent offroader like a 4runner/patrol/defender hell, a samurai wouldve done it way better

@@DarksideDevelopments proper land-rovers, the old ones with leaf springs. Tho rovers have infam yof breaking axles, Diffs and gearboxes thats why I mentioned patrols I mean sure you have comfort but that's it on those rides, I have like half the horsepower and id easily pass those lanes (31"s with lockers)

@DarksideDevelopments no they didn't . Only one. The super charger done a ball joint .. the other 2 landy's finished the 2 days....

@@user-cp5de9st9n There was suppose to be 4 of them on the first day. One didn't even make it, it broke on the way there 🙄. The defender also needed to fix a brake pipe on the Saturday night and repair the brake caliper Sunday morning before we could set off on Strata. The Range Rover should be glad he didn't make day 2, with the width of that it would have been smashed to bits as well!

@@FOXeye95 They have there place for sure but in the UK even when off roading, you spend a lot of time on the roads to get where you want. Give us the choice of a Defender, Patrol or 4Runner for the 3.5 hour drive to Wales and we'd pick the Touaregs everytime.
