You would need 3 jobs to have more than me. My job involves traveling, which is how I go to a lot of these places, and this is a job in itself. I go a lot of places people request, which isn't free.
U should do my home town of evansville indiana, its not a big city but if u do some of the inner north neighborhood where the vacant housing rate is 37 percent or you can do some of the inner south neighborhoods which are also very dangerous, there is also a gas station with bullet proof glass near Bayard park
katrina blackcubangurl Jiménez Thank You ........what about the good section.......my son is about to finish college in IT TEC ....he and 2 friends from college want to share a place and get jobs in the big city ....they were raised in Dyersburg.........his dad and I are going to help with a place .......but I worry ....he has been well taken care of and has no clue .........but he is 21 thinks he knows everything
Salina Morales they are very good areas in Memphis Bartlett Cordova Arlington and more places here too. Just like any other city it has its ghettos and nice areas as well❤️
I lived in MEMPHIS , TN for seventeen years . I love the people and spirit of the LORD is there. Problem is the city and state government see these areas going down, but the Where are they? No jobs, no money equal poverty. So in a few more years when property values are so low the people in Collierville and other prominent areas will come back buy it up, fix it up and the elders who hung on all these years will not be about to afford their own neighborhoods. Wake up Memphis... you have the power to control your own destiny. Demand what is yours the 400 years ends this year. I love you Memphis!!!!!!!
No jobs really? I live close to this area and I can say without a doubt there are plenty of jobs ..now if people choose to have a job or not is a whole different story. As far as dumb uppity rich snobs buying and fixing up the place ...keep dreaming!!! Where ever you are at now (my guess lala land) you should stay there
Lindsey Pena ummmm rich people are buying houses and fixing them up because of crosstown. It’s called gentrification honey and the rich people are kicking the poor people out ☹️
Keep up the good work, CharlieBo313, viewing these circumstances under which some are forced to survive, tends to instill a defined sense of gratitude & humility within me....
My mom grew up in south Memphis she is 74 she said before integration it never looked like that they had black business and people kept up there neighborhoods
Yeah segregation wasn't something white people did it was something that the black community did and the government put an end to it. Malcolm said that it was a horrible idea and fought against it.
Its funny how our lower class neighborhoods look the same in every city, same structures, same damage, same blight, same drunks, crackheads and bad ass kids
This is good-- people need to see this. I've been here a number of times, but never saw this area. Makes it tough for a kid growing up in such a place to have great hopes for the future.
Memphis is very dangerous, been here all my life, if you can survive here, you can make it anywhere...great,music, good food,Beale Street, Graceland, so much talent
Kim Kirkwood that’s not true. Yeah the crime getting bad, but Memphis has a lot of genuine people, just a lil off their rocker half the time. But comparing ATL to the M-town, The M has more sincere ppl and show more hospitality than ATL.
Ayden Sumerall Atlanta has a lot of transplants which I think affects the hospitality and genuity of the people in the city but that’s good to know about Memphis cuz sincerity is real. Also philly is probably more dangerous than Memphis overall
Was he driving a 1980 Monte carlo..fuck is going on..i was very ANNOYED by that shaking And I'm ASSUMING he was on his way to the auto body GOODDAM THAT CAR IS A PIECE OF SHIT...NICE VID THOUGH
You should do videos driving through the wealthy hoods as well. You show the lower class in all these cities you should show the upper as well. I think it would make for great content.
Just the same manner as when he is driving slowly through the hoods. The only problem I think Charlie would encounter is alot of wealthy neighborhoods are gated, so he would need a code to get through. Also some of the most exclusive wealthy neighborhoods are private altogether. But he shouldn't let that deter him because as I always say, where there is a will there is a way. I hope he makes it happen....for the views of course lol.
Its sad to see how no one took care of these cute homes. I wish they would fix them up and have Memphis be a safer place. Because for moment you could be in a good part then bad part. I really wanna see memphis change in a good way
I'm from Memphis and I can tell you Fo Sho that Memphis aint got nothin on Philly. I got lost coming back from NJ and I knew in the first few seconds I was in the wrong place. Philly and Baltimore are pretty close when it comes to Hoods.
Matt Lackey I never been to Memphis but I stayed in philly 58th and Florence philly is a tough city like i hear people say Memphis is. Philly is dirty and gritty as any us city the people can be callous & grimey no southern hospitality whatsoever & its fast paced so I’m guessing I’d choose Memphis over philly
obviously someone is judging and in a dumb ass way if all they talk about is how they perceive how things are in a place based on how it looks and it aint about judging cause we all do it, it's about how you judge and you should shut yo pale ass up too bitch, hope u have heavy amount of sunscreen for tha sun
Damn you all fine and Stuff lol I miss my Memphis women nothing like y'all love I just can't dig these Texas women sorry but I got to keep it Tennessee
BORN AND RAISED IN MEMPHIS TN I LOVE MY CITY AND THERE IS TROUBLE EVERYWHERE!!!!! AND BESIDES YOU WENT TO ALL THE RUNDOWN PARTS MY CITY IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE HAVE NICE PLACES HERE ALSO!!!!!!
The People living there make The Hood. All hoods are the same. It's the MENTALLITY of the people that may be the problem. Keep your City clean folks: - "Why me? -What can you do FOR ME? Me. Me. Me. Me."
Where is this? I had family in Raleigh and in Frazier. Both were pretty scary! My cousins grew up in projects in Raleigh in the 70's! It was always a show there!!
It is not about what the neighbourhood looks like. It is about the people that live here or anywhere for that matter. There is good and bad everywhere even in the rich neighbourhoods. In 901 there are many good, sweet and friendly people.
Since I've seen this type living environment in neighborhoods all over the South, nothing is surprising. But what kept me watching a little longer, is watching you run every stop sign you cane upon. I kept hoping you would come to a complete stop at least one of them: but you never did
Something a majority of ghettos share throughout America... When there are owned houses that cost less than the vehicles parked at that house. If only more people knew how to educate themselves and spend their money. No problem though, make poor decisions so that someone else can profit from you.
it's way WAy worse than this . i live here and i can says he's in the best side of town he can be in here. so you should be jumping for joy lol. be careful
I think about all the people exposed to MOLD in these homes making them sick with all sorts of mental and physical ailments. Don't let them fool ya, it's not just "toxic" mold that hurts you. ANY indoor mold will affect your health and well being.
Born and raised in Memphis (not in the ghetto) and thank you for this content! When I first saw your channel I knew you’d had to of been to Memphis before.
Charlie brother congratulations you're near to 100,000 & youtube play button. I'm from india and I like your video. Specially when you do interview of that hoods.
Wow, that's painful. Please don't tell anyone. Lets just keep it between us, because people will stop watching and I wont make any money. You gotta help me, I'll do anything, whatever you need....money, sexual favors, it doesn't matter, just don't ruin me
Boa noite Charlie!
The abandoned places are a little creepy, but the occupied homes for the most part have neat yards. To me it doesn't look too bad. It just looks like a lower income area. Most everyone I have ever met from Memphis has been laid back and friendly. I honestly wouldn't mind living there.
I am currently living very close to the hoods (between North Memphis and North of Midtown). It is indeed very sketchy. But its alright to drive around. Also, there are few safe streets to walk around. Gotta be careful though. Tbh, the whole Memphis is a rundown city. Hopefully, it picks up because its got its history and beautiful old buildings. Good Luck Memphis.
I no longer live in M-Town but man do I love Memphis!!! I don't care what anyone says about it. From the Mall of Memphis to Adventure River. From wrestling at the Mid-Souf Coliseum to Club No Name. From Cherokee Lanes to X-Site. They still GET BUCK and _ain't even not gon stop_
I grew up in the M, Mclemore, and Orleans is just one of the spots. I tell you the fucking truth this shit takes me back further than I wanna go. I had some good fucking times and a lot of bad fucking times, left when I was 20 in 85. I made it out, but I have siblings that still live there and I visit and every hood that I can recall look the same. This shit got me hungry for some rib-tips slightly spicy. Do they still sell Chappelle? I can't find that shit out here, that was my mom's shit...homesick like a muthafucka.
Memphis reminds me of Macon Georgia a very African American dominated city very very soulful but I’m sure it’s way bigger, to live is more of a struggle, the crime is deeper and the people probably aren’t as friendly
I swear those apartments at the end of the video are the ones I lived in back when I was a kid. Of course that was back around 75 and they were a bit nicer.
I swear I could hear air brakes, I think Charlie is driving a school bus! When you slow it down to 0.25 speed you can hear the otherwise inaudible high-frequency noises of the engine falling apart and it sounds like music LOL
You were on Dison St. Home of the biggest drug kingpins in the southern part of the U.S. (if you would have passed through here in the early 2000's you would have seen the biggest block party ever... (It went down daily.)

LIAH Referring to what you say happened to you as an "issue" tells me that you are more interesting in wallowing in it than in resolving it and moving on from it. Oh, well, it's your "issue" and your choice so if owning it is what makes you feel better so be it.
Needs narration for those of us who don't know where you are heck I'm local and I have no idea where a good part of this video is been shot at but hey thanks for posting it it was entertaining me personally I would have done the video like a tour guide frayser frayser people welcome to frayser
Hi CharlieBo313......there's a verse in an old song by the rapper called Chubb Rock called...."Been around the world in a day" .....this is what a hear when I look at your video. Thanks for taking people around the world (at least in the USA) literally in a day with you videos. God bless.
I loved growing up in Memphis in the 90s as a teen...some of the best times .....I hate we didn't come together as a community and rebuild Memphis.... would've been beautiful and a fun place to live had we invest in keeping it together for our kids, the next generation, etc...why would we want to see this place a dump now?
