For all the experts out there!! 1. We came totally unprepared. We forgot our locking pintle hitch at the shop. Totally our fault. The hitch we did use did have a hook on one side so we had it wrapped around the ball and the hook so it wasn’t as dangerous. Not ideal but it was much safer than you think. Also we couldn’t go forward as the hole gets way deeper and worse if we went forward. And trust me. We wish we could have pulled it straight back but the dirt/ mud that was behind us as soon as you broke the top layer you would sink…. They were pulling from the closest dry ground
why didnt the event have a good sized excavator to pull the real stuck guys.....also, what did you put on the tires and rims that makes mud just slide off like water?
You should weld a d-ring shackle off your rear axle so you can hook your recovery rope to that being pulled from the rear axle would help pull your tires up
The fun mystery’s that you get to solve when buying a truck that someone else built. Speaking of, I can’t wait to see what issues I have with my Tahoe out at Plant Bamboo in 2 weeks! Great video as always! Keep them coming mang!!!
You are the only one with the nads to attempt it so props for that, please think on putting hook points on your axles to help try and prevent that breakage again. i think youd have been pulled out no issues if you had been hooked on your axle, love the vids
Buddy, you were stucker than stuck!!! Never have I seen anyone more stuck than that who came out still in one piece!!! Great job getting loose from that horrible grip it had on your baby. 👍👍👍
lol this looks like the perfect recovery job for Matt's Off Road Recovery (I doubt they'd have been able to help but would be funny to see the Banana and the Morvair buried in that mud lol)
if it wasn't for trucks like this us poor boys on 44 inch tires would still be able to play. so i love it when on of these breaks and cost lots of money to fix.
I used to work there as the gate security when it was the horseshoe creek, and that place is awesome there's a couple bad areas in the hike u just dont go and u found one
Need to hook a good tow strap to that Clevis point on the the rear diff put the other end up in the bed let it lay there and use it for recovery it's a better mechanical leverage point then the bumper point just my two cents glad you got it out with minimal damage though
Does your truck have a hitch/pull point on the front? Bc I think if you got pulled out (I was gonna say tugged from the front) front a forward pull point it would have been a lot easier
Hey bud great video man like always for the recovery of the truck you need to get ahold of Matt's off-road recovery or pull from they're both on RU-vid they have those yankum ropes give me a call or check them out Matt just build a cool recovery vehicle anyhow have a good one bud Charlie Western PA
That is one nasty bounty hole. That’s one thing that I wish I saw a lot more of on RU-vid were bounty holes. A lot of old ones but no new ones. I’ll be watching you get this thing ready again lol. GET ER DONE
We pull 80ft on frame modular homes up red mud hills with no tire Mats with a dk4. How in the fuck could that dk5 get that thing out 😂😂 that mud had suction like quick sand
Hey what's happening everyone, I'm guessing most of you all are diesel fans on here, well I have a question, I'm currently looking into saving up for a down payment on a new truck or jeep, I have been wanting a Cummins for many years, but I know absolutely nothing about diesel engines mines they sound beautiful and are powerful, what is the best one to buy that would be the easiest to work on
justin is a bad ass, doesnt even hesitate to jump right in the mud to help his boy JH..and always has a smile on as hes doing so. keep up the great content boys love it!
To be fair, it drove in there really nice. Need like an old boat propeller mounted to the diff's brake rotor shaft so it'll make all kinds of mess. Wouldn't help get unstuck at all though.
Lmao that is awesome, my younger self would have had the truck unhooked from being towed out and full sent it back into the same hole for redemption, which we all know the outcome, but I would have done it anyway lol good times muddin
In the Pacific Northwest because it’s a rain forest when you get a specific kind of dirt mixed up with water it’ll become deeper and thicker then swamp !
