That's a really good point, buying a Lego set is something you only do with disposable income and for a lot of people their disposable income has massively decreased in the last 12 months.

@@billyanderson4443 Considering the rise in unemployment, the number of businesses that have closed, I don't know if a $1,400 check is going to solve people's financial problems and leave them with enough left over (after important things like food, rent, clothes etc.) to spend on plastic toys. @@billyanderson4443 Depends on where you live and how much support the government has given out. Large parts of the US are apparently in massive trouble - thus the $2000 economic stimulus cheque being sent out - and the same in much of Europe - whereas here in New Zealand the economy is ticking along well despite the massive loss of one of our primary sectors (tourism) - but NZ is a tiny market that Lego would hardly notice if we disappeared entirely. Also you have the global shipping crisis which is pushing consumer goods way up in price. Also you have to remember the decision on these sets would have been made many, many months ago before it was clear exactly what was happening. And also, there will be a global economic recession from this at some point in the near future - it's just cost too much for it not to catch up with us at some point.

@@Beer_Dad1975 And let's not forget the checks are coming from the government, and the US government is close to 30 trillion dollars in debt. This is money that taxpayers are going to have to pay back someday, so really they're just giving us money that we're going to have to pay back with interest. So it's a loan, and it's not going to help anyone or the nation in the long run.

Considering they didn't do 20th anniversary of Phantom Menace, I do not expect 20th of Attack of the Clones. I get that Attack of the Clones would be much more desirable, but I don't think that will make it happen. I think we may get some 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi like with Empire Strikes Back though.

possibly. star wars toys in general have been on the decline recently. this probably includes Lego. the performance of Ep8 9 and Solo as movies and sets related to them probably has Lego thinking of scaling back this theme somewhat to throw their RnD into other themes that either make them more money or will sell better overall going forward.

They got burned by the showrunners when they blew up the razor crest like a week after Lego released it, rendering it a completely useless piece of junk, that isn't even in star wars anymore. I would assume after that epic fail, they decided to hold off on jumping the gun on sets to push them out, just in case Favreau and co decide to immediately kill off or blow up whatever Lego had just released.

I don't have a lot of interest in UCS and it's ridiculous to see an $80 TIE Fighter when I grew up in the era of them being $20. It's good to see them dial it back for classic models.

@@s1ay3ryt58 I'm waiting for the Imperial Trexler Marauder, but I might get Darth Vader's Meditation Chamber depending on the price, and 75319 (the mystery £30 set) depending on what subtheme it is from. I will still probably get it if I think it's good, regardless of the subtheme it is from, but I am personally hoping that it's from The Mandalorian. Also, Slave 1 should be a Mandalorian S2 version, perhaps with Boba Fett, Mayfeld and 2 Stormtroopers.

We're supposedly getting a bunch of Mando sets which are great. But I'm most excited for the rumored Slave 1 for 2 reasons: 1. I own the 2006 version which is probably the best play scale Slave 1 ever and I need an update. As well as a new Boba minifigure, I only own the og one from that set! None since they updated his helmet. 2. Just b/c the ships are scaled down doesn't mean they're bad. I bought this years x-wing and TIE fighter and they're both pretty solid for their prices. I wish the same could be said for the imperial shuttle but I'm not buying that set. We're in for a good summer wave, believe me

same goes for me with these new x wings and what not only shame being is i got into collecting a little too late with star wars and missed all these beautiful sets previously released back in 2013 upwards.If anything i wish they'd keep sets out for longer sometimes rather than constantly re-releasing the same sets with minor changes until they find a good reason to update it.I also wish when they released star wars sets,they'd release a kiddy one as well as more of an adult build with more details and no playability to make it look the part because im sure most of if not all collectors would not be going around shooting STUD SHOOTERS lol

I cant say the same...I hate them, sorry, I just really dont like them. Even if I cant afford the more expensive sets, I would rather lego make good quality sets of good scale. That said, some scaled down sets are good, but notnif u get rid of minifig scale

yeah, i do like them, but i prefer the X wing to the TIE... The TIE is not at all proportionate. overall, think older models were better, and more accurate, the lower price is the only advantage here.

Bring me back to 2007, baby! I feel old as HELL on here haha. I'll bet half the people on here weren't even born yet back then. Now THOSE were some of the best sets ever. When you combined the MASSIVE MTT, plus OG battle packs, you could have a HUGE battle for under $150. I'm talking 30+ droids and maybe 15-20 clones. That just doesn't happen anymore. :(

We are getting Bad Batch shuttle at summer. It is going to include five members of Bad Batch, which is really cool. Those figures are going to be exclusive for this set during summer wave, I guess.

I actually really liked the wave, but that's just because I was getting back into collecting at the time after selling all my legos 6 years prior so not having to wait for iconic vehicles like the X-Wing and Tie was super nice. I can see why someone who's been collecting would find this lacking.

and now some of the bigger sets are getting discounted which gives this wave a lot more value. You don't need to buy stupid marked up price from those resellers (cause high budget collectors won't even stare a second at this wave lol). I'm to be honest a bit late for the Lego Star Wars hype, but the price of the fighters from this wave are really the one which havent got (insanely) marked up and budget friendly.

I really like the new Tie fighter and X-Wing models. Having them slightly smaller and cheaper makes the dream of staging epic space battle MOCs a little more achievable. Plus they seem like a better size for the minifigs, LEGO scale is always a bit odd but vehicles are usually on the smaller size compared to their real life counterparts. I'd rather the really big ships were saved for the UCS series since they work better as stand alone displays than as part of a moc with a mix of sets. ¿Por que no las dos?

This exact same thing happened with Pokémon a few weeks ago. They made the remakes of games everyone wanted, but now everyone hates the style of animation that they used.

The thing is, people like the sets but its disappointing that all the sets except one are remakes in a time where mando season 2 just came out

Unlike the stuff concerning QMAN the letter for Held der Steine after using the LEGO name for stuff that isn't LEGO makes a lot of sense. EGO is a brand and legally they HAVE to enforce their status or it will be legal for other brands to use the therm LEGO for their products (LEGO wird sonst ein Gattungsbegriff und kann nicht mehr als Marke eingetragen werden).

It's pretty bad.

Summer 2020 was not by any means even close to being one of the best waves in history. The razor crest, at-at, and Death Star duel were pretty good but the aat was laughably inaccurate and the grievous star fighter was ridiculously overpriced while having the obviously wrong Obi Wan. Anakin’s interceptor wasn’t anything special but could’ve been decent if it didn’t have the stupid wrong torso print as well. The fact that they didn’t say anything in response to that criticism let alone doing the right thing by fixing what was obviously an embarrassingly bad mistake is pitiful. The knights of Ren ship while it looked good, had next to no features and was way too undersized. The wave deserved a 7/10 at the very most and that’s being extremely generous. Without the at-at and razor crest it would’ve been one of the worst in history.

No cogent Lego Star Wars collector thought 2020 was a good year.

I never had an X-wing until now and this being my first year as a hobbyist AFOL (I'm 26 but I haven't cared since Bionicle ended) that $50 Xwing is beautiful and just about the most accurate one ever
