Part 12 of my playthrough of GTA 3 Defintiive Edition. On this part Claude works for Asuka trying to get revenge on Catalina. Support me on Patreon: / theprofessional1994 Follow me on Twitter: / patrick21611
To me, Claude is the Michael Myers of the GTA franchise. Cold, calculating, uncaring, no conscience, psychotic and willing to murder anybody without uttering a single word. The only difference between the two is that Claude is in it for the money rather than strictly bloodlust.
@@agentbaldy7 he is a blank state on purpose, he was created that way to allow ourselves to project into him. He is basically the GTA online protagonist
Claude is a straight up killer, he has no friends or close ones, he works for money and lives his life. I believe he killed Maria in the final mission, because the game start with him being shot by his then girlfriend Catalina.
Yeah, I think the whole gunshot-sound effect-Maria-stops-talking-cuts-to-black-screen thingy is just a joke from the developers, Like it's up to interpretation and I think that's pretty funny
I think it's just that Maria is annoying and Claude is a violent sociopath. Either that or he didn't shoot her and just shot the gun to get her to shut up.
I can tell you asuka isn't just torturing Miguel for info, she actually does it for pleasure too. You can tell she is a sadist with Marie at her condo where Marie says she's all tied up and needs to go to bathroom. And your right Claude really does asuka dirty and I wish we got to see more of her as she does quite a bit for you and was an awesome character.
You do if you play gta advance because it takes place in between lcs and 3 and she has a niece but sadly there is no way to obtain the game unless emulation or spend a ton. You also get to see more of 8 ball and king courtney.
Claude is fascinating in part because of the mystery. Like we assume that Claude is out for revenge because that makes the most sense, but does he ever do anything in the game JUST for revenge, or is there always another motive? He might have killed Catalina in the end just because she wouldn't stop fucking with him, sending Spanked up loonies after him and turning his employers on him. I don't know that he's capable of attachment even on the level where he'd care about revenge, and it probably frustrated Catalina that she could never get a rise out of him, even after shooting him.
I think he has "the Job is a Job." Mentality, he could've shot Catalina in that construction then-and-there but unlike most people in his shoes he choose took the briefcase.
Unknown. They might have lost him or abandoned him at a young age. He may have left home at a young age. He is a drifter from the West Coast and he may lived in San Fierro.
So re-experiencing the game as an adult I've only just realised that Asuka's into BDSM, she's clearly enjoying torturing Miguel a bit too much, plus a reference to Maria being "tied up" in an earlier mission, they were definitely up to something
Professional it might be that Maria and Asuka were in a sexual relationship as hinted in their dialogue. Although possibly Asuka was only pretending to care about her in the relationship to gain intel.
6:09 Looks like they understood its an ambush and ran away. 14:30 This remembered me of the 2nd last mission of GTA LCS where you escort Salvatore in the prison van from the Sicilian Mafia.
yeah with that first one I forget what it was but the Ai sometimes does something smart like that, like the AI legit tries to box you in properly, and not in the derpy demolition derby style way neither as I had the cops surround me and pin me down quite well which given how bad the AI of the PS2 versions was really surprised the heck out of me
@@elperrodelautumo7511 They're bi given the indications though i don't know if they are swingers or had an open relationship. They could have had something but it's unknown.
What makes you think this? Her referring to his "Latin stamina" to me refers to how long he's held out despite the torture. And whatever they were "waiting to turn black and fall off" may or may not have been his genitals. But even if so, I'd call that torture more than sexual assault.
She had sex, yes, she was in love with Mike (the protagonist of GTA advance) a 2d gta game set in the time period of 2000, 1 year before gta 3 and she had sex with Mike, some real hard one.
My heart dropped when he shot down the helicopter at 21:05. I did the exact same thing and I regretted it because 4 stars is just very aggressive cops but 5 stars gets FBI squad cars that'll run your shit.
FBI squad cars on five stars are more or less doable if you have a really fast vehicle and quick reflexes, but once you stop somewhere, you better have an M16 or a rocket launcher with you and pray they don't instantly kill you by running you over.
love the series, back then i was way 2 young to play this game and just watching my older brother playing this, and this remembers me on the old good days so nice
I feel like Claude Speed from GTA 2 is more psychopathic than Claude from GTA 3 (I mean look at the mission Hot Dog Homicide). I mean even Claude from GTA 3 doesn't even hold a candle to the psychopathic nature of protagonists from GTA 1, London 1969 or 1961.
Toni Cipriani blew up a large part of the city with all its residents, CJ burried a guy in concrete, Trevor tortured Mr.K etc. Compare to that Claude didn't do any extremely evil thing, he just simply killed and betrayed criminals for money. And Claude has a relatively small kill count compare to other Gta protagonists.
@@matepusztai5713 You are correct. However, it is worth mentioning that Claude does kidnap innocent people for Marty Chonks who turns these victims into dog food. You will see this when TheProfessional uploads the secret mission episode. Yes even though the actions of Toni Cipriani, CJ and Trevor are evil and there is no doubt about that, they still have personalities and care about people. Toni has huge respect for Salvatore and he loves his mother. CJ respects Sweet, Kendal, Cesar and people like Woozie. Trevor is still friends with Franklin and Micheal (due to Option C being canon) and he loves his mother even if his mother doesn't show her love back. Claude on the other hand doesn't have any personalities and due to his inability to speak, it is unknown if he really had any respect or compassion towards others. This can also be applied to protagnists in the 2D universe (GTA 1, London 1961,1969, GTA 2).
@@hitmanninja5969 actually claude respected salvatore at the beginning, kenji by bowing to him and so on. But he became psycho due to get betrayed by almost everybody. That's why he doesn't trust anyone, including asuka and possibly maria.
Pro tip: for SAM, disregard the boat entirely especially if you already have a rocket launcher, take a fast car and DRIVE to the airport, stay back when entering the runway and take out any cartel guards (should be 2 cartel cruisers and a few Columbians right where the 2 runways branch off), take out the normal columbians towards the end of the runway, take the plane down and drive to Pike Creek pay n spray to remove your wanted level and complete the mission as normal! Faster and FAR easier, just did it on PS2 last night
I was always curious how did they kill Asuka. Maybe Asuka and Maria were in the construction site without bodyguards and a cartel hit squad massacred her easily.
That airplane scene scared the hell out of me it looked like the the devil himself was coming after you also my theory on the relationship between the two female characters is that they were selling each other information but they're also having a secret affair you can tell by the dialogue that they're more than just friends
Hey pro. When i did the Liberator mission, I parked the Cruiser in front of the gate, and used my sniper. I then carefully took out all the cartel members. Before i went in the garages, i used target aim so i know which garages were filled with cartel members. That's just a easier way to do the mission.
I agree with everything you said about Claude being the most dangerous GTA protagonist of all time. Claude is only obsessed with two things money and revenge, which is why I used to think of him as 'The Silent Assassin'. Pretty crazy how by the end of the game all the gangs will always try to kill Claude if he goes into their territories.
This time I'm on time can't wait to get this cuz I have it played GTA 3 again it's been 4 years since I played it on PlayStation 2 before it finally broke.
I like this mission SAM, the fact that it was very hard for me to do it the first time I played and the fact that today I can complete it on the 1st attempt makes me like it even more. I like challenge like exploding the plane and getting an instant 4 stars. The first time I played it made so desperate to get the 4 stars and then go all the way back and the feeling that I got when I finally was able to complete it was very good, I wish I could have that feeling of being challenged and the feeling that I got when finally completing it again. Now I mostly complete this mission getting stars to reduce my wanted level what makes it much easier, so I discovered the mission's secret and after the secret is revealed it lost the challenge.
I don't know if you know this professional but in GTA 5 there's a reference to GTA 3 with Franklin's ringtone. He has one of the song from lips 106 called bump to the music which was song that was just playing
So I was absolutely terrified of playing “S.A.M” and I’ll admit it’s a formidably challenging mission. But after a couple play throughs I would say it’s my favorite mission now. The best and easiest way to beat it is by doing what you did and shooting it down on land BUT do not shoot down the helicopter, just get in the car and drive back but GET THE POLICE BRIBE in the airfield it’s right in the middle of the area where all the planes are and right on the way out so it’s not out of the way. Then with 3 stars it’s so much easier to drive to a Pay N Spray in Shoreside Vale or if you are brave then just drive back to the construction site with 3 stars. It’s so easy to me now, I’ve beat it a few times now because I have a save file slot to replay the mission. 😅
After I shot down the plane and collected the package, I drove back to the dock, I ran to the nearest car to steal it, and I went to Pay 'n' Spray. I attempted this plan once, but I attempted the mission many more times
Claude may not have a personality according to those who claim to know the GTA games very well (lmfao), but he certainly has more than the three clowns in GTA 5. I’m not at all ashamed to say that I’d feel much safer with him than with Trevor. I hope you will do your lore videos on Claude and on Donald Love’s disappearance. Love your videos, Pro!
*''S.A.M''* actually the final mission from Asuka to Claude because Ransom just a cutscene that automatically triggered after we're done with *''S.A.M''*
If you stay in the car, the hit squads won't glitch. As soon as you get out of the car they lose you. So I recommend to stay in the car and wait for the Yakuza to do the dirty work. The only problem is that the yakuza's AI is also shit and sometimes they don't shot, they just wait till the cartel members massacre them.
GTA 3 tbh in this game, this is my first GTA that I've completed since I was a kid. I thought there's one GTA only the San Andreas but when I discovered this, men this game is fun!
In that specific mission, the Leone Mafia hasn't got the shotgun. Only pistols and uzis. The developers code this mission with that change, because if the Leone attacks you with shotguns the mission would be IMPOSSIBLE (Without Ray Patriot)
For Asuka's mission I just used the bullet proof Patriot for the mission you lead gangs to the Yakuza and then a regular car with the rocket launcher for expresso to go.
Claude:Betrays everyone Tommy:Cares about his friends CJ:Never betrays his friends Toni:Will do anything to improve the Leones Vic:Trying to pay for his young brother’s Medical bills Mike:A guy trying to earn a living Huang:Avenger of Avengers Niko:Also came to earn a living Luis:Trying to prove to his mother he is useful Johnny:Wants to prove he is a trustworthy biker Franklin:Just wants to make his friends proud Michael:A husband Trevor:A psychopath but isn’t worse like Claude
Idk if Tommy cares about his friends. Earnest and Rosenburg might be his only proper friends. He didnt befriend Phil and Umberto like Vic. Tommy is more of a loyal strictly business only partner. Johnny K would betray Ray for the better of the chapter and Ashley. Niko came for answers. CJ believed in gang loyalty and assists Sweet. Franklin wants out of the hood. Trevor cant be explained in few words, but he enjoys living a life without rules. Claude betrays anyone, neutral sided, survivor as he didnt kill Catalina until he had to, undecisive himself as he only killed Don Sal because he was told to, and Claude is no opportunist. Toni only obeys to Sal unless they are some kind of Leone associates or a priest.
lol the last time I've played the "bait" mission, the cartel killed almost all of the yakuza gang members and I had to finish the job for them, it's totally random
