Fun fact: servals and caracals communicate mainly with hissing. It’s hard to tell their mood but the serval at the zoo I work at has this thing where during feeding time, he hisses while doing a weird jog in place thing so that’s how we know he’s just excited.
Correct! THIS is how they speak...just like wolves growl to communicate. This cat is actually very gentle with their regular house cat and also the husband. He/she cuddles & plays with him....
I remember watching a movie summary like this. It was about a monster that haunted a house and grew stronger the more you feared it. In the end, they were no longer scared and basically just fed it occasionally. That shit traumatized me as a kid because of how scary the monster was.
For people who don’t understand many people are misunderstood and are mad at the floppa because he looks like he’s is attacking the owner but the real case is that this floppa is a wild animal and it does not have the vocals to have a cute meow hope this helped :)
Brother, you’re telling me out of all the freaking pets you pick a damn bobcat? Brody, those things are wild as hell, and then going to get the bobcat to calm down
Because it's claws are taken out. I think it's crawl. I heard in America with some type of cats I think like ragdoll some owners take claws out. So sad.
There aren't. Them hissing is literally their way to communicate. But the last part was probably because they thought the human tried to take their food
@@WantTheMelonsThere's a difference between aggressive hissing and communicative hissing. This is aggression. This animal is morbidly obese and neglected.
Actually a lot of felines hiss when they're happy! At first I think they're excited about the food but then they got defensive since the owner was too close to their food Edit: I do not condone wild animals being kept as pets, all I meant to say is that animals often express emotions in way that seem contradictory to humans. Since none of us are animal behavior scientists, what we think really doesnt matter because we dont know all we can do is guess what this animal is trying to express
@@trypickledcandyNot in this video bro, you don’t have to be Einstein to see that the cat wants the food, if the human would’ve got any closer to the food it would’ve attacked him.
@@toadeat12You don't understand. if you go on ANY of these channels you'll find the majority of commenters coping hard by swearing so hard that they "can only hiss and can't meow" that even as a practicing wildlife biologist the gaslighting makes me start wondering I missed some memo 💀 I recommend checking it out, it's so insane. Ever since these stupid caracal memes a few years back, tons of people bought these poor animals and everyone suddenly thinks they're experts on them..but I have yet to see a channel that doesn't have a constantly-hissing caracal...except channels for zoos/actual professional handlers. 🤔
I feel like when pet owners named their animals princess or cupcake, even though they're like wild animals, but they don't even care. They're just gonna name it like a cute name 😂
For people who don't know, this species is called the caracal, but the internet in 2022-2023 would call it a floppa. EDIT: you guys are goated thanks for the likes!
fact: the reason why the floppa is roaring, because it's saying "thank you" I think. Floppa can't meow or talk friendly, so you assume they're dangerous.
No caracals won't bite unless you are specifically annoying them, think of them as you would you appreciate your waiter staring at you when eating your food?
As a kid we sometimes had litters of kittens. If a kitten got a piece of meat to eat, it would growl at anyone or anything that came near as it chewed: "rrrng rrrng rrrng" in this tiny squeaky voice. It was the cutest thing. Pumba would be cute too if he wasn't so grown up and terrifying.
People say that the only reason we have Cats as pets is because they're not big enough to horribly maul us, and then there's these kinds of people who decided to see just how big is too big.
I work with African Caracals, while it may not be illegal to own in THIS person’s state. It’s a shame to see this owner keeping this NON-DOMESTIC wild animal IN the home (has a collar 👀) and def looks out of shape… (not getting outdoors much if at all…) We call these “CLOUT PETS” smh
@@a2wa I wouldn't go as far as "deserved," but it is cruel to keep a wild animal in a house and also that owner is very stupid, like what do you think is gonna happen when you have a camera 2 feet away from its food???
Caracals don’t meow, I have one. The only way they express themselves are through what we consider “growling” and hissing. But unlike other breeds of cat, this one in particular has different forms of hiss, while other cats hiss means they’re warning you, the floppas hiss can be hiss of excitement
Any pet where you have to throw the bowl down to avoid getting your arm mistaken as dinner, is definitely not a pet. Edit: I was not expecting hilarity to ensue. Congrats on being hilarious. Absolute chaos. 😂
It's a caracal (floppa in memes) and it is in fact a wild animal and it's really abusive to have them as domestic pets. Sometimes rich influencers buy these expensive animals for clout@@Jamegreensboro-jk8ug
