The Worst Places Everyone Eats In Disney World 

Same! So many Disney channels blindly praise everything the parks do. You can be a Disney fan and also be against some of the attractions and restaurants and the overpricing

She still seems to shill pretty hard because getting you to go to Disney is what their entire business relies on. A few other channels have opened my eyes to the laziness of Disney World and Universal is looking more appealing everyday.

I have been going to Disney since the Empress Lily Opened before the Parks did and I drive from 1100 miles away so on the drive I have no choice but to stop for something. Now it depends on why I am at disney whether I agree with you. When with my Grand or Great-grand kids we do the whole thing except the Hotels (I have always had a house in the area - my family lived on Anderson Street in Orlando and My great Aunt IS the storied Lucille who ran the counter at Woolworths downtown) However - If I am alone I rarely eat at disney. It is very expensive for an 84 year old retired person to justify alone. I always go to the Cape May Buffet - just like I always went to Broadway at the TOP but normally I eat Breakfast at home, early (6 am or earlier) take a snack about 11AM at the parks (Maybe only a piece of fruit) and then leave the parks and there are a few local restaurants that still have early bird specials (Generally around 4PM) that are worth it. One place HAD a complete Prime Rib Dinner including Appetizer, Salad, dessert and drink for $10) THEN I go back to the parks if they stay open - or to Jelly Rolls at night. I really miss Pleasure Island. I get more and longer trips to the place that way. I have done all the "special" dinners at one time or another already. WHile the meals have gotten better lately, there was a time when they were nothing I could not do better at home.

Our family has that rule too.

My family member's favourite drink is the caramel frappucino from Starbucks, and they love the Disney themed cup it comes in at the park. Having that frapp while watching fireworks? They LOVE that. There's something for everyone, and not everything is for everyone 🙂

Meh if I have the free Disney dining plan and I want a venti or trenti whatever they have in America Carmel frapp it’s worth it to me

I'm also autistic and I'm quite similar. I'm often scared to try new things but as a nut-allergic vegetarian, sometimes I have to if I want to eat. But yeah at the end of a long and stimulating day sometimes you just want to go to wherever is nearest and has pizza. (Also if its a particularly bad day and the menu is particularly rough, I will stoop to a fish and chips, which is more relevant in the UK)

Autistic as well. I will try new foods every now and then but usually stick with simple foods that I know I like. I do still like a wide variety of food: American, Chinese, Tex-Mex, Italian.

That is absolutely justified and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nobody in my family's usual traveling party is on the spectrum, but one of our favorite staples in Disney World is mac and cheese just because Disney's recipe is SO FREAKING GOOD. Standard Disney fries with ketchup and Disney honey mustard are another favorite snack for us. Comfort food is called comfort food for a reason!

I can relate a lot as somebody who gets stressed about trying new things (I am not autistic but I do have a ton of food allergies). especially in a place where it costs so much.

Idk we LOVE Rizzos. We eat there every time we are in Hollywood Studios. Star Wars food is beyond underwhelming except Ronto Roasters that closes after lunch. Sci Fi drive in is ok at best. The other sit down places have also underwhelmed us. The pizza is always fresh, the salad is my favorite Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten, the kids love it, and it’s a quick service place we don’t need reservations for. Overall, PizzeRizzo’s gets a million stars from us.

I love Rizzos. My family booked a fancy dinner at Mama Melrose's but I took two bites and went to Rizzos afterward lol.

Ah man! You beat me! Only 14 for me. 2015 was scary though. Almost didn’t get to. Thankfully they were able to accommodate our “walk in” by allowing the three of us (we had a 2yo) sit in a single row.

@@UmmYeahOk Aw! You’ll be right there with me before you know it! I know the feel we try to hit it every trip but sometimes it’s completely booked! Love about it what I love about all the parks the full immersion into that world even if that world is an old sci fi drive in!

@@djm5687 yeah, I fell like everything there is from the 50s. Plus, that ticket for a “round trip from Mars” they were offering to the kids, I’m now believing was a complete scam. They were supposed to take off Feb 2 2020. Pretty believable when I was a kid, but now... ...they don’t let you go anywhere without a COVID test. And that date was right before that nonsense.

I had one near me at a local mall, it is now permanently closed down due to Covid. They haven't torn anything down yet and its creepy looking at everything .

Slip into the bar and eat without a wait! We do it alot when we don’t have a reservation.

My daughter like animatronics and it had some decent options for our 3 generation group and the only place to get a Cheshire Tale during our trip.

The bathrooms are nice too. I’d rather go there than the ones by Space Mountain or Mad Tea Party.

I had their fried chicken sandwich yesterday expecting it to be awful but it wasn’t terrible. I’d give it 3/5

I lived in England for half a year in college, so maybe that’s why I was never impressed with the Royal Table. I was like, “Ehhh, I’ve seen the REAL castles with actual Royal people in ‘em.” :)

And the architecture is Gothic not Baroque. She is in error there

Funny, last time I went to WDW (around 2009) the coffee at Joffrey's was much cheaper than Starbucks. And tasted better.

Why is Starbucks even there doesn't that break the immersion

I've been to Europe, and agree about your churches and cathedrals. Speaking as a Jew, I just wish you had more synagogues in your cities, but those darn Nazis destroyed many of them because of their insane hatred of Jews.

We do have beautiful churches

Sci Fi has been a family tradition every single time we go to mgm. Me and some friends are going to Disney world next year and I told them when we go to MGM we have to go to Scifi I'll pay for it just because it's a tradition in my family

My kids love PizzeRizzos but so do the adults in the family. That salad! Cosmic rays had a better burger than Sci Fi 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel sorry for you how jealous you are my incredibly well behaved toddlers who wore a mask on their faces for 5 straight days at Disney and get to eat incredibly yummy food and ride fun rides. They’re the best and they deserve the best. Taking them on their 3rd trip before they’re 5. Grow up imbecile.

@@westcoastbred7745 yes, because I'm sure what's exactly on a 4 year old's mind is how much was spent on the trip and how they're incredibly lucky to be there. No, they're kids, they don't know the money that was put into it, they just see it as a fun place. And there is no excuse to slap your kids, especially not one as dumb as "they don't want to eat what I ordered them".

I'm also a fan, but I go to their Lava Lounge where I can get the same menu, but it is quieter and have a nice view of the lake.

Rainforest is fun, but I find the food to be pretty mediocre.

I don't care about the mediocre food. I'm there for the fish and rainstorms haha

Hypothetical question: suppose you're taking your son someplace special for lunch or dinner and he's the same age as your daughter. Where do you take him, someplace macho so that he can see how guys in fancy costumes behave? For example, would you take him to the Biergarten for eating, singing, drinking, and dancing to German music; to the Japanese hibachi place for a fun display of juggling with knives; or to Gaston's Tavern to see how a bully like Gaston behaves towards people he despises? Now, take both son and daughter to Cinderella Royal Table; what does your boy take from the experience if he's too young for ogling princesses? If I go there, I'd go myself just for ogling Cinderella, especially the live-action movie version, not the animated character.

Honestly, it wasn’t that great during the full experience. The food is just okay. It’s a fun experience to see the princesses and the castle. I honestly don’t see us going back. It’s a one and done for my family.

It’s not that great, it was nice but I would rather have been else where and it is overly pricey. For kids maybe it’s okay because the princesses do come table by table but the food is just bland.

We ha breakfast at CRT and it was all very rushed. Akkershus was a much better experience for less money. Even on the dining plan!

I’ve eaten there. Yes, the food is unremarkable and overpriced but it’s nice to experience once. Won’t go again.

@@meghan177 When I hear the word "Baroque," I hark back to the animated version of "Beauty and the Beast": during the tour of the castle, Cogsworth (the Enchanted Object portrayed as a clock) says, "...if isn't Baroque, don't fix it." When I heard that, I laughed out aloud in the theater. I still laugh whenever that memory arises in my brain.

And I stopped going to WDW after my last trip in May '19. I think I outgrew Disney, and I got tired of dealing with the Texas Two-Step after almost every meal I ate at Epcot or MK.

San Angel Inn suffers from what I call “Blue Bayou Syndrome” (from the restaurant at Disneyland). It’s beautiful, but the food either doesn’t match up to the view or doesn’t justify the cost, which is a shame.

A Disney World best vegetarian snacks video would be awesome too! 😁

I agree! We’ve always been happy with our food at T-Rex. In fact, we went every time we traveled to WDW. We stopped going a few years ago now that our kids are older.

Ate there twice and I agree. It was great both times.

@ Viper I went to Ohana in 2016. I was not impressed with the food at all. It sure was edible, but nothing special.

While I dont disagree with you, I do think Animal is up there too!!

That’s the main thing: the Disney Starbucks locations have unique treats that you can only get there. That’s the only reason why I went (to all of them).

Depending on the Restaurants that are at a Disney Hotel, the meals can run from Okay to Blah. However - Room Service takes forever at Disney and the likelyhood that your meal will be stone cold is something that -for the Astronomical price - I don't think I can justify. YOU might be better off getting delivery from some of the OUTSIDE Disney places that deliver to the Hotels.

One word about room service meals at the Disney hotels: pizza. Lots of pizza from the on-property pizzeria. Concur with what somebody else posted: you'll be lucky your order arrives warm if not hot. Otherwise, be prepared to go to the hotel lobby and get your order from a Doordash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats driver, then take the food back to your room and eat it there.
