The Worst Script Ever - Bad Writing, Shipping, and a Sonic OC

Kids, there's nothing cooler than getting a Chaos Emerald from someone you like, but if someone tries to give you a Chaos Emerald in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, *that's no good.*

Shadow is like a 5 year old kid, who wants to give something cool he found to a person he likes.

A wise man once said "Those whom hide their past to appear based are cringe, but those whom share their cringe are based.

as cringey as this thing is, its also adorable to just see something so genuine. Little courtney wasn't worried about being cringe, she just made whatever the heck she wanted to make. The old SNT content is to me so charming because it came from a place of innocence, a kid just having fun with a fictional world

In the fight scenes, I like to imagine Sonic and shadow are just gmod rag dolls smashing together and jittering around

Just remember, this was all because SNT didn't want a chaos emerald

Fun fact: Did you know that the boice actor for the Original shadow made him sound this way was based off his old roomate that made everything sound "dramatic."

This script actually plays with YA love triangle tropes really well. Of course, Courtney circa 2005 May not have been aware of them. Let’s review: Girly girl likes one of the guys and is therefore portrayed in a negative light Treating the girl like a trophy “Good” guy acts jerkish in a way to contrast with the “bad” guy developing gentlemanly qualities I mean, I’ve never read series infamous for doing this but this follows the plot beat of the “dark” men being portrayed as desirable. To be fair to Shadow he didn’t sexually assault SNT, Young Courtney just accidentally implied he did.

Alright, hear me out here: AU where SNT KNOWS about everyone liking her and she’s just super cynical about it and sick of everyone’s shit

Not gonna lie, SNT, your old sonic videos actually helped me make my litteral first oc and helped 10-12 year old me get into fandoms in general. the only video I remember somewhat clearly is the meme-style video with Will? one of the younger characters saying "did I do good will?" and him saying "you did very good" I started off making a child of Silver and Blaze, Frost the Ice Cat... but over the years I evolved her. She became a lynx and gave her an entire interesting story, even thought of changing her alot...but it was interesting. I got into the sonic fandom, then slowly the warrior fandoms. now here I am trying to make art in a million fandoms! XD so I have to thank you ❤️❤️

I just wanted to tell you that this has become my current comfort video. ; w ; I think I've watched it 10 times in the past couple of days.

We could explain Shadow's sudden 180° change in heart by having him remember Maria, perhaps a Fight that broke out between them during their time on the Ark. Perhaps this situation reminded him of that Fight, maybe it could be shown in a flashback sequence during the chase. Of course we do know that Maria the "Hedgehog" canonically exists within the SNTverse, but that's another Universe's Maria, we could still say that this Maria that existed in this Universe, died on the Ark. It's a possibility, if Shadow and Maria do have a Sibling-like Relationship, then it's inevitable that they'll have a Sibling Fight, and eventually they'll make it up to each other at the end. But then again, this is just me trying to help salvage an already-cringeworthy script.

This actually kind of inspired me to make my own Sonic OC and script. I thought it would be really hard but my creative juices just started flooding my brain. I haven't drawn her yet but this is basically the backstory of her. I also put the script I made in the comment if you wanna read it. Her backstory: Her name is Kalani. She is a wolf. She lived in a regular wolf pack with her parents, Magnolia (the mother), Void (the father), and her older brother, Lucian. She had a relatively uneventful childhood until Lucian was 17 and she was 15. Their home caught on fire and Kalani made it out losing an arm. The others were all dead. She decided to go to Dr. Robotnik. She convinced Robotnik to help her in exchange for working for him. So she became a bioweapon. She came out with a robotic arm and robotic wings. That's when Kalani met him. She saw a black and gray creature with a red jewel on his chest. He introduced himself as Infinite. She immediately caught feelings. Little did she know Infinite felt the same way, but he was in fear of rejection. So they never got into a relationship. Until the event that their lives flashed before their eyes. This script is called "Sacrifice". Sacrifice (The scene opens with Kalani reading a book.) Kalani: *reading the book* "Never in my life will I understand why they betrayed us, but that doesn't matter now. We must"- (Her reading gets interrupted when the speaker in her room starts making noise. It's Robotnik talking.) (The scene cuts in half with Kalani on the left and Infinite on the right. Infinite's playing video games.) Robotnik: Everyone, come into the lab! Our new weapon is ready! Kalani and Infinite: Oh, God what is it now? (The screen full screens on Kalani's side.) (She goes down to the lab and finds Infinite down there as well, looking like he doesn't want to be there.) Infinite: So, Doctor. What is this new weapon? Robotnik: I'm glad you asked! Here it is. *he turns around and pulls out a foot-long kitchen knife* (The two look at the screen utterly confused.) Robotnik: I know it looks like a regular knife, but don't be fooled. This weapon has poison installed in it, so when someone gets stabbed with it, some of the poison will be injected into the bloodstream. They won't die immediately, but they'll be feeling so much pain, they'll wish they could. You two will go and use it to finally defeat that blue hedgehog once and for all. (He hands Infinite the knife.) (The scene switches to when the two finally make it to Sonic's location.) Kalani: You ready? Infinite: *blushes slightly under his mask* Yep. (Kalani knocks on the door.) Sonic: *opens the door* Hello? (Kalani lunges at him, staring the fight. Infinite runs in, holding the knife.) Timeskip: We are now a half hour into the fight. It switched to outside. Kalani is holding everyone back while infinite is doing hand-to-hand with Sonic. (All of a sudden, a flash of purple breaks through Kalani's defenses. It's Blaze the cat! And she's going straight for Infinite.) Kalani: Infinite! On your nine! (He turns around to see Blaze inches away. He gets pushed by her and drops the knife.) Blaze: Sonic! Grab the knife! (Sonic picks up the knife. Blaze runs out of the way as Sonic heads for Infinite, knife in hand.) Infinite: *screams*. (Kalani turns around and a devastated look covers her face.) Kalani: Infinite! (She runs towards them and jumps midway through.) Kalani: I won't let you hurt him! (A flashbang covers the screen. When the flash clears, it shows Infinite covering his hands.) Infinite: Wha? What happened? (He looks up at Sonic. Sonic looks mortified.) (Infinite looks down and sees why Sonic is mortified.) Infinite: Oh my God! Kalani! (The screen shows Kalani curled into a ball with the knife stuck in her side.) Infinite: *looks up at Sonic* What did you do?! Sonic: I- I didn't mean to! (Infinite looks back down at Kalani.) Infinite: Kalani, please! *looks at the crowd* Someone get help! *back down at her* Kalani, hang in there! I already lost my squad! I can't lose you too! I love you! *covers where his mouth is under his mask* (Kalani's eyes snap open.) Infinite: *looks over and sees an ambulance* Thank goodness! (The scene switches to a hospital with Kalani in the bed asleep and Infinite at her side.) Doctor: She's going to live with no major complications. We managed to get all the poison out of her body. But she'll be pretty weak for a while. I'll leave you with her. Let me know if you need anything. (The doctor leaves. A few minutes later, Kalani starts groaning and her eyes start opening.) Infinite: Kalani? (She sits up and looks around while her sight readjusts.) Kalani: Infinite? Where am I? Infinite: You're in the hospital. *quickly adds in* The doctors already did what they had to do. All of the poison is out, you're going to be alright, but you'll be pretty weak for a bit, so I suggest taking a few days off from work. Kalani: Um, Infinite? Infinite: Yes? Kalani: Was what you said true? Infinite: What do you mean? Kalani: You said you love me. Is that true? (Infinite's face turns red under the mask.) Infinite: *looks down* Y- yeah... (Kalani's face flushed red) Kalani: *thoughts* He... loves me too? What do I do? Confess back you idiot! Come on! *aloud words* I... love you too. Infinite: Y- You do? (Kalani nods.) (Infinite takes off his mask.) (The screen zooms out as the two look into each other's eyes and kiss.) (Fade to black.)

As much as Courtney claims to be currently suffering and cringing, I bet her 7th grade self would have LOVED to see the amazing quality of this video of her script being shown through visuals and voice acting. I hope that she is at least happy about that.

I usually find fight scenes boring, but I really enjoyed the one in your script because of all the fun audience reactions. And the idea of two Chao(s) doing commentary was probably funny enough to excuse them for suddenly knowing how to speak. There's good stuff here!

I like how at first AmyxSNT was intented as kind of a joke ending for the comic, with Amy being the tsundere and SNT the oblivious dork, but at this point it's practically the main ship

This gives me flashbacks to my old books and fanfics that I wrote in elementary school Thankfully now I can actually write GOOD fanfics (or at least to the best of my ability)

SNT acting like "no one understands me" just made me frustrated as heck so thank you

There's a lot of stuff happening in this script, shadow randomly giving an chaos emerald away, sonic and shadow fighting but this time for no reason. Team chaotix being in character, sonic hero's team fighting each other. Man...I'm glad i didn't make a sonic type script when i was little, because at that time i didn't know a bunch of sonic lore and stuff as i do now.

Espio saying “oh brother” made my day 20 times better than it was before

Pros: -Shadow was written, kinda well at times, when he was concerned over SNT, that was fine, as at this time Shadow (seeing as how you wrote this after Heroes was released) was written to be forgiving and to care for others before he was ruined post-Sonic 06. Him caring for SNT at the end would actually be fitting for his character; even if his sudden shift in the script wasn't good -Team Chaotix was perfect -The Knuckles/Rouge banter was good even though it was brief While you despise it, there are some things to be proud of what you did here

Alternative title: Courtney dying on the inside for about 30 minutes for our entertainment

This was such a trip down memory lane. I love how every sonic OC is like the center of the lore in these stories. Particularly because most OCs are just self inserts, I guess that’s why Sonic Forces came out lol.

I imagine that as detectives they would probably have a lot and I mean a LOT of questions of who she is and where she’s from and what she is. Also it’s just fun to imagine they’re investigating eggman lab on day and finding evidence that snt is at least related to eggman in some way.

I'm going to be completely honest. Your take on Team Chaotix is perfect. This fanfiction may be terrible but I adore their interactions in this script.
