Thoughts on 4+ sets?

We need to salute this man. He ranked a series of plastic toys for 4 year olds from worst to best. What an absolute legend!

Imagine the disappointment if Dareth’s Mojo Dojo got released as a 4 plus set…

One thing that annoys me is that all the sets for the most recent Pixar Movies have been 4+!

Back in my day, we didn't have 4+ sets. You learned how to build a 5$ set on your own, then your parents (or grandparents) would buy you a slightly bigger set.

In Australia, you are paying $70 for the 4+ final light of Destinys bounty. For half the price, you can buy a set with triple the piece count.

As someone who’s been building with Legos since he was four, I can say with full certainty that even if I was the demographic for these I would still think they’re complete garbage and an insult to our intelligence:/

The only 4+ Ninjago set that I actually like is Cole’s Speeder Car from the Prime Empire wave

God when I visited Lego Land I just saw a Seven year old dropped the overlord dragon and said WOW THIS SET IS SO COOL IMMA GET THIS SET and that set was the 4 year old lego set Electro Mech and I will tell you what..... I DIED.

That's my problem with 4+ sets too, Lego started to make 4+ sets literally every wave of Ninjago now, at least mostly on Legacy. And this time, they made 4 legacy Sets, 1 is literally the worst Legacy set ever (aka Ultra Soniq Raider) and then two 4+ set. Like 2 out of 4 sets are 4+ sets and literally trash are you serious?!!?!

I... really have zero issues with the Ninjago Juniors sets (aside from exorbitantly high pricing). I know this entire video is meant to be facetious, but I think it captures a lot of the Ninjago community's feeling towards these sets. These are just some harmless little sets with simple builds for kids, kids who are too small to build the real sets so they have to start out with these easy ones. They aren't meant for older fans and that's ok. I'm actually really happy these sets exist because some kids are going to play with them and feel included as fans of Ninjago. One day, those kids are going to grow up start buying the real sets. Juniors sets are ensuring the longevity of the Ninjago brand by bringing young fans into the fold. Like if they suddenly replaced all Ninjago sets with Junior sets, then we'd have a problem. But they aren't. Sometimes they even release a Juniors set simultaneously with a full sized set for the older fans. It's the exact same principle as when Star Wars releases a normal sized set and a micro build set. So I just don't see the issue at all. If anything, these Junior sets are increasing Ninjago's popularity (although they might be doing so at too expensive a price!)

4+ sets r so lame the only thing we need from them is the pieces

I actually just Bricklinked a Juniors Lasha figure, is this a sign I've disobeyed the laws of the universe 👀 Honestly though, I do like Juniors sets for the minifigures. The ones in 2016 came with exclusive figures or prints/molds that weren't produced in years. The current Juniors sets suck in comparison, but some of them may still have pieces or figures you might want, for cheaper than a normal set Edit: I just got the Lasha, the figure looks really cool :)

I love how he said he's trying to complete his ninja collection but at the time wastes his money on 4+ sets and fake lego to entertain us.

i unironically bought kai's blade cycle and i was wondering why it was so garbage, thats when i understood what 4+ sets were, and that was a dump of my money in the drain, atleast now i got a legacy kai yayyy

Imagine a set with more pieces that can be lose while the 4 year old kids hold in their hand, flying them around Big solid pieces means less losing pieces

Back when the original jays mech came out I was probably six and I built it just fine

I am 14 and I got them for the figs, like techno jay, lloyd and kai, and then I build those sets and them threw into the garbage truck....

hi! It was my birthday yesterday and my mom and dad gave me the 4+ loyd mech i was disappointed.. But then i open another box and saw zayn's evo mech and i was really happy then today i upgraded it and it cane out so good(every 4+ mech need a rework/revamp like I'm so disappointed in the loyd mech it's so bulky and the arm and legs are more skinny than althe branch of a stick)

THE GOLDEN WEAPONS. I kind of feel sorry for younger children. I mean, I had Lego duplo when I was really young, then moved into city, ninjago and technic. They should stay away from ninjago for now and go and ruin other people’s themes. Ninjago have taken their shift, monkey kid should take theirs.

when i was young i would watch my brother build lego sets then i would take spare pieces and throw together a mini hunk of junk and maybe break the sets

The only reason I would ever buy a junior set is for the mini figures, I would burn everything else

i would not recomend buying the storm fighter battle cus of the small hinge piece that attaches the wings to the main body it keeps breaking and i mean breaking not lego dismantling breaking and that its 50 $

The boats with prebuilt hulls can float in water if they don’t have a prebuilt Hull then it won’t float

You have committed a Ninjago war crime: getting the Legacy 4+ "Final Flight of the Destiny's Bounty" instead of the GOAT S5 Final Flight of the Destiny's Bounty. The Overlord Dragon is actually pretty good but definitely could be improved to make it more like the show version.

Funny how the dragon looks more like a Kite with a dragon shape than the actual dragon

if Lego wants to make bad sets with big pieces for little Timmy because he keeps choking on the tiny pieces, then either let little Timmy choke (honestly choking on small pieces sounds like a skill issue) or two get him a duplo set. this is Lego, it's for real men.
