My father has been a graphic designer for 35 years and assisted me with the creation of the decals. They were cut from reflective red firetruck vinyl. What is the difference in WR500 and the YZ490? Thanks,

@@Jh-ko6gf Late reply, but updated and stronger frame, far superiour suspension and brakes, better ergonomics. Everything else is pure YZ490.

@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 wr had 7 studs head, exhaust comes out strait in Middle, compression and Ignition different as well. I just sold my 92 wr with extensive work it's in Australia now.

Thanks for watching! Head mod was a simple preemptive precaution, as I like to do long days in the desert. I believe this is a different head than the yz490, which already has some minor changes to prevent the ridge from becoming a hotspot. She shakes, but it's something I have grown accustomed to. -DAN

The engine is the exact same one they used in the IT/YZ490. In stock form it needs race gas to keep from self-destruction. I am getting an IT that I will be converting to YZ trim (much thinner tank) and while I'm going through the engine, Ill have the head mod done and do a mild port job. Im definitely getting the crank balanced! I have both a CR & KX500s, and this shakes worse than either of them! If I can get it down to a buzz like the CR, Ill be happy. The WR is so much better than the old YZ, except for the bulbus tank. Better frame, better suspension & far superior brakes. Nice bike & good work!

@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 Thanks, I like these older bikes for the riding I do. It has been very reliable and stomps like a fourstroke compared to the CR/KX. Just so you know, the WR head is totally different from the YZ490, I have both and compared them side by side. No need for race gas or timing adjustments on the WR500. -DAN

I have had this one for nearly 10 years now. Only made for 13 months. They pop up now and then, but usually in poor condition. Keep a look out, the WR500 is awesome! Thanks for watching!
