Had a USMC m41 in 44r sold it years ago and regretted it because they are super hard to find in larger sizes. Just traded a M41 in 36r for a M41 in 44r so finally got it back. Love the design of the M41. It’s so versatile. Great when riding my motorcycle. The tag had the size 44R or what ever size it was just a FYI. The quality of vintage jackets and clothing in general was far superior to today with the exception of higher priced leather jackets such as Aero or Eastman etc.
Hi Derek it's Spitfireace (Hugh) from VLJ. The M-41 jacket never really occurred to me. The M-43 is more well known. That is quite the grouping you got there. The clothing is great stuff. The crampon type boots are interesting but something that you would probably never use. I appreciate you making these videos.
Hi! Thanks! Yes the M41 needs more exposure. The boots are super heavy and very clunky. Just pieces for a collection than to wear. All together though it’s really fantastic.
I was seeing some on eBay , but I see 36 and the chest sizing is for something bigger or is that they way they run similar to like a parka ?? Anybody that can help me out ? 🥲
@@derekdoeschannel oh really! So I should look for a 34 then or 36S ?( if there is any in that style ) & also wait would the fit of these be comparable to that of a basic cotton parka ?
@@derekdoeschannel oh yes , 100% sure I do that after one experince when I didn’t ask haha , but in your opinion you’d say are they like a basic “ military style “ parka they sell in any store where it’s per day a regular fit , not slim and not too loose , you get me ? Because I see a 36 is I believe 20 inches and I think that’s my parka size but I’m denim jacket bit smaller that’s why I wonder this if they are meant to fit little more like that instead of ones more fitted jackets where it’s true to chest exact ! (:
