I appreciate this song very much. While my brother was 26 when I lost him, and Christians' was far younger the lyrics still hit home and allow me a little peace. I write poetry for my brother and while I cannot sing I can see how writing can bring memories we can hold onto even in our darkest times. Again thank you for this amazing song.

When I first heard this song about 4 years ago my 2yo was in the ICU he’s well and alive today but this song hits like I was back in that hospital room. It keeps me in remembrance that life is fragile and not promised

When I first heard this 5 years ago I was like damn I cant even imagine what its was like to lose a brother but now that my brother passed away from cancer all i can say is I'm happy that i actually had some time with my brother before he passed
This song really got me. It hit me so hard because I have brothers of my own. They happen to be younger than me and I don't know what I would do without them. They have shaped who I am today and I couldn't thank them enough for always being there for me when times were tough. Don't ever take what you have for granted. Because one day that thing could be gone. I'm very sorry for Christians loss and I truly love this song, made me cry basically the whole time. Thank you.

Sabrina Fayee Except that's not true at all. Unless we're counting every single bloody emotion instead of just sadness. In western culture, emotional behaviour is always sadness or fear, it doesn't refer to anger, contempt or disgust. Statistically, males kill themselves way more often than females, that's mostly because of repressed emotions. It was a simple joke referring to old hilariously stupid beliefs, with comedic timing, it was good.
Edward Kenway it wasn't good. Keep telling yourself that. It was tasteless and unnecessary. Also, have you even read any of the studies before denouncing them? Men are more emotional in all categories. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. It explains the suicides because society tells them to not show emotion - thus repressed emotion.

Well here I am. crying like a baby. I love my brother. He is literally my favorite person in the whole world. I would do anything for him and I..my biggest fear is losing him and having that emptiness inside. And hearing those lyrics and his emotion, I felt his pain and loss. He's amazing.

I've watched this performance years ago, at first of course it was a heartfelt song you can clearly feel the emotion of the way he delivers the song and how he expresses it.. Now, 7 months ago I lost my brother due to heart failure and kidney failure, hearing this song again made me connect even more, I can deeply feel the emotion and the message of the song..

Why are people comparing him to Ed Sheeran or anyone else? He is Christian Burrows. He’s a on whole other level. I have never listened to a song and actually cried. I have an older brother and when he said fight, fight, fight over brother stuff, I lost it. This song made me realize how lucky I am to even have a brother to grow up with. There’s not a day that goes by that I wish different. (I’m crying writing this lol) I can’t listen to this song without crying. When I was 8 years old I had Nephrotic Syndrome and almost died, and I remember my brother who was 10 crying every night when I slept in the hospital bed. I can’t imagine what was going through his head. I was lucky enough to live, but Christian’s brother wasn’t. All I can think about is my brother being in Christian’s shoes... You never know who important someone is in your life until you lose them, and I’m glad I can now appreciate my brother. I know he wants the best for me

Man, my brother and I weren't extremely close but we had shared a lot of the same traumas and he ended up commuting suicide in 2010. Every line of this just hits me so damn hard...I wish I could 2 again.

My older brother, my parents' first child died while he was still in my mother's womb. I know that it's much harder when a born child dies but I still feel very sad because of him. I think it's not fair that all of us are happy while we live our lives...and he's just gone...he never had a chance...I really want him to be by my side and do things with me that brothers do. I often stop to imagine what would it be like if he had not died. My current older brother never treated me as a brother anyway. So I really need a brother...my current brother just won't be one...I like to think that small angel in the sky would have been a better brother😢.
