It's always lovely to see your X files reactions. As I've mentioned in a few comments on other videos, I grew up watching these so it's a treat to have a trip down memory lane with someone who's experiencing these for the first time. It's also nice to hear that you're looking after your health. That's so important, especially in this modern age of everything rushing around. Hello, Jules!💜 I hope this finds you doing well. I like your pinned note, although it seems to have left, at least, one set of disbelieving eyes, convinced you should just be doing more, with less - ironically tying in with the title of this episode - Tempus Fugit - a Latin phrase most often translated as "Time Flies" - but could also be interpreted as time escapes. 😅 A pretty mysterious episode, fittingly laying out all manner of mysteries for, hopefully, the 2nd half. The return of Max Fenig! You are indeed correct, we last - and first - saw him back in the days of dear, departed Mr. Throat.🥲 In another thrilling episode., "Fallen Angel". Mulder is quite used to being laughed at by folks, but he persists. And, even if Scully feels his statements to be unsupported by facts, she still only confronts him in private. I like the way you, too, have his back in this one - "... or how Mulder's going to prove it. Scully's already written off that theory!" 🤣🥰 And your X-Files moment here - "That's Max's sister? Did they drop her off? What's Happening!?!?" 🤣😂 I can think of few places more frightening, to be attacked, than deep underwater, in the dark. More so with a bagged alien at one's feet. The number of folks the bad guys are willing to do away with here is staggering. And to shrug off government agents, as collateral damage is quite astonishing - I too, hope to see Agent Pendrell again - the powers that Mulder and Scully face, each day, are astounding. Great episode, as you say all manner of conspiracy elements going on in this one. Back to the overall story, and Scully seems to be doing well once again. Tom 🤗💜 Thank you for always understanding. It's hard because I'm just one person and I often put youtube and these videos before my own needs, and having time to do other things I want to do. I just want to sit and relax sometimes, have time to reply to emails, and play games, but I generally feel a lot of pressure to get these videos done, so that just seems to come first. It's so difficult for me to say no, but I am trying. I loved having the Max flashback but for people like me with limited memory, I'd have loved a bit of a hint during this episode (his famous hat or NICAP written on his shirt might have helped 🤣). I love how Mulder has these like-minded friends, like Max and also the Lone Gunmen. It would be so fun to be included in his little group 🥰 Thank you for your well wishes, Tom! I did have plans for today (Sunday) though I got the time and date wrong and it was actually on yesterday instead 🤣 so that put a spanner in the works! I guess that means a bonus day and time for more editing, right 🥹 OH!! I bought ingredients to make a cake so that is most definitely something 💜 happy weekend, Tom! It's a small thing, but I like Mulder's speech about the team investigating the crash, implying that these people are just trying to do their job. They're not trying to cover something up. It's nice to know that as paranoid as Mulder is, he doesn't distrust everyone, and as powerful as the conspiracy is, it doesn't include everyone.

Max Fenig the abductee who we first saw in S1 back here in Tempus Fugit story. This episode very much a two parter with next episode Max. Funny when Scully says you never remember my birthday. Mulder notices the time on the watch and of course the 9 minutes are missing again from the time of the crash to the time on the watches. Paul Gidney, the alias Max uses, has Mulder's business card on him when he sees the body. Mulder wants to know why all the watches are missing. Max's sister's hotel room wrecked, and Mulder knows this is another abduction. Great scene when Mulder is diving, and discovers and Alien Body in the water, and a shocking scene with Pendrell shot. Good to see Joe Spano here as Millar. Joe Spano of course one of the major characters from the brilliant 1980s cop drama Hill Street Blues.
Mulder isn't always right from the outset. Just off the top of my head (and limiting myself to episodes you've seen), I can think of the episodes Eve (Mulder initially suspects aliens, when it's homicidal cloned children) and Our Town (Mulder's interested because it could be foxfire spirits, but it's really cannibals).
Yes! Max Fenig was that NICAP guy from season 1, episode 10 (Fallen Angel). He was a regular alien abductee who was abducted right in front of Mulder at the end of that episode. And we haven't seen him until now. And now he's sadly gone.
That guy in charge of the investigation into the plane crash is played by Joseph _Peter_ Spano, (not to be confused with Joseph Spano the Australian actor.) J. P Spano was made famous for his portrayal of Detective Sergeant/Lieutenant Henry Goldblume in the hit 80’s cop show Hill Street Blues, he was also the voice of Pasqually the Chef for Chuck E Cheese between 1977 and 1983, since his appearances on The X-Files he’s largely been known for his role as Tobias Fornell in the CBS Franchise NCIS, (which is about naval cops/investigators and started as a spin-off to JAG/Judge Advocate General,) Tobias was introduced as a FBI agent in the show’s opening episode back in 2003, (with his backstory and connection to the show’s original male lead Leroy Jethro Gibbs played by Mark Harmon being established over his subsequent appearances as a recurring character.)
As of this episode, Scully is 32 and Gillian is 28. (She famously lied about her age when she auditioned - as being a medical doctor, scientist and trained FBI agent is a bit of a stretch for a 23 year old).

That's exactly what I'd love to do, once we're finished Buffy and Angel. I just hope people realise that I sometimes need to do what's best for me, to keep enjoying the reactions, and that I'm a human and not a machine that can just churn out videos with a touch of a button.
There are plenty of theories that don't fit your definition. Unlimited power? All the conspiracies I heard about involve powerful people, but they are certainly limited and just as human as you and I. And the players in these theories are very known and very defined. Many of these theories are false, or even put out by the powerful in order to confuse and discredit the real ones. But some are very true, or highly likely to be true. You just need to use your discernment. It's never a good idea to dismiss all just because many of them are false.
An XF reaction is a great way to end the Saturday night! YAY! Yep, Max's first appearance is in one of my XF favourite episodes, "Fallen Angel", the tenth of the first season. He is that weird "conspiracy theorist" who Mulder believes may be a former abductee. So happy you didn't give up on this series! This season has one of fans favourite arcs.
