This is SO exciting! I'll have to pick this up ASAP because i've been using the MGC for almost 4 years now, and I've really been wanting to upgrade :))
Setup wise: I think a cleaner with white background is better. I liked the old one, but it might have been a bit too messy. I think this was a bit too dark
Already have mine on order with the Dayan megaminx pro (two ballcores). I'm looking forward to see if they we release a 4x4 as well, I think this year is going to be the year for ball core Big cubes finally.
Just ordered it and its still coming to me, the delivery is soooo fast🔥 im in spain and the ciubicle is in america and its almost here after ONLY 2 weeks, anyway ill keep this comment updated when i get it ig.👍
I really hope they have a version without the ball core and without the coating. This is the first XMD 5x5 cube (fairly sure) and I was just hoping for one to complete my big cube collection, but the ball core is just overhyped in my opinion and I'm sure this adds extra weight and price. I do have coated 3x3 but I can't imagine it works so well for a large surface area, especially when our fingers don't grip onto a lot of that surface.
If you still didn't get this cube, the first batches were pretty mid, the later batches don't feel as tight and papery (yet they are dry out of the box). With some break-in, this cube is such an amazing upgrade from TheValk 5M. It may or may not be a preference thing, but because this 5x5 is actually smaller than traditional 5x5s, the weight around 130g is almost unnoticeable, and this cube feels super stable with the ball core. I loosened mine, and the inner layers has a very faint corner to core pull when completing a turn, and the outer layers are more apparent. Obviously there is no auto-aligning for a big cube, but you can actually feel the different pull if you commit to this cube. It's even cheaper than QiYi's previous flagship 5x5. It's a steal.
Nice! It looks and sounds very much like the 4x4 MoYu WR-M Aosu, which is very promising, as that is the best 4x4 cube ever (in my opinion). And the X-MAN series have never disappointed me either, so... oooh yes.
My predictions for this are, qiyi takes over big cubes, tornado v4 being released, moyu will continue making cubew, gam will make a good budget cube and the gan 15 will be better than 14 and 12
Not to be a douchebag or something but he was pretty slow. I almost get the same results with Yau, although I you beginner even for 4x4 and LBL 3x3 stage and I know I'm super slow, so no, sorry.
How is this cube compared to the Valk 5 M? I found out on The Cubicle that the X-Man Hong 5x5 M is $49.99 whereas the Valk 5 M is $50.99. Does the $1 dollar difference make a difference to the features of both of these cubes?
I'm definitely gonna give this a shot and probably main it over my wrm but I'm just afraid that the gan 562 will be even better and I'll end up wasting 50€ on this just for it to immediately become irrelevant🙈
@@laurikorhonencubes very true, although I’d say that what you average in one flagship 5x5 and what you average on another isn’t going to be that large of a difference.
i just got cubes for 600 eours and i was thinking im getting the best cubes for all wca event now so many good stuff is released like the 20 magnet ball core moyu v9 , this 5x5, and many other great releses! btw how would you compare this to the walk 5, is it worth the upgrade if im not really serius about 5x5 but if i do get derius about 5x5 is it worth the upgrade? as always a really good video
Cheaper than, but better than, TheValk 5M as advertised by QiYi. Good on their end. I just hope GAN has similar marketing. Also hoping the GAN 562 has its advantages/disadvantages over the Hong 5M, because I sure hope this cube isn't overshadowed. That would be sad.
@@xp.wesley858I think that it won't matter if it is better than the hong because this is already out and getting a lot of hype, while the gan is probably going to come out in a month. Meaning that this will get a lot of purchases, also it is most likely cheaper than the gan 5x5
