@@paulbcote Definitely John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. He had Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor and later Walter Trout and Carolyn Wonderland. Peter Green went on to found Fleetwood Mac and is considered to be the greatest blues guitarist ever from Great Britain. Mick Taylor joined the Rolling Stones in 1969. Walter Trout most recently had the #1 Blues Album on the charts for 2022 and Carolyn is the newest incredible guitarist who will be a household name one day. Mayall who will be 90 this year has stopped touring.

Clapton use to play with The Yardbirds in our little old market town of Basingstoke around that time and later with John Mayals Bluesbreakers who were the resident band. Jeff Beck, Peter Green and other now familiar names that gained worldwide fame often played there as well.

Eric Clapton. In 1963, the musician joined the Yardbirds, where he remained until 1965. In addition to himself, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck later completed the line-up. Amid blues covers originating in Chicago, the group reached the top of the English charts with the song “For Your Love” (1964), more focused on pop, which displeased him. John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers A few months after leaving the Yardbirds, the instrumentalist started playing with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, bringing his blues influences. However, shortly after the release of the album “Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton” (1966), Clapton saw Buddy Guy during a show and was impressed by his trio. So, upon meeting drummer Ginger Baker, he migrated to Cream. Cream Considered a supergroup due to the important career of its members, the band included in its lineup, in addition to the names mentioned, bassist Jack Bruce. Over the years, they released four albums: “Fresh Cream” (1966), “Disraeli Gears” (1967), “Wheels of Fire” (1968) and “Goodbye” (1969). Due to internal conflicts, they ended in 1968 - reuniting in 1993 and 2005. Blind Faith Thus, in 1969, came his participation in Blind Faith. Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech were also part of the group. Its duration was short, yielding a single album of the same name, in addition to a tour. The debut took place at a free concert in Hyde Park (in London, England) packed with 100,000 fans.
