Very little known about the history of the Yellow Bird cocktail. Some people think it was named after that Haitian song Choucoune" and it's American rendition called "Yellow Bird." It was my father's favourite song. He used to sit in his comfy lounge chair tapping his foot to Harry Belafonte or the Mills brothers singing that tune. Other people think it was named for the bright yellow Galliano liqueur. What we do know is that The Yellow Bird is a tropical cocktail that is synonymous with summer vibes, cruise ships, beach getaways, and Caribbean vacations

1/2oz (15ml) - AMBER RUM
1/2oz (15ml) - GALLIANO L’AUTENTICO
1/2oz (15ml) - COINTREAU
1/2oz (15ml) - FRESH LIME JUICE

TOSS IN SOME ICE AND SHAKE UNTIL WELL-CHILLED.
FINE STRAIN INTO A CHILLED COCKTAIL GLASS.
GARNISH WITH A LIME SLICE AND COCKTAIL CHERRY.
