Victims of corrupt Imperial Government, victims of corrupt eunuch factions. Later on the warlords that fought the Yellow Turbans like Cao Cao and Yuan Shao later realize that the real threat are not the Yellow Turbans but the corrupt eunuchs that's why they killed them all. Another fun fact Cao Cao absorb the remaining Yellow Turban rebels into his army by granting land reforms to them since that's what they want in the first place, Cao Cao also need those men in order to fight other warlords across China.

When I played rtk13 for the first time a couple years ago it was also my 1st time encountering that history in china. I remember feeling a pang of guilt when I got the message the rebellion had been defeated. Felt like if Sidious had beat Luke

@@carlisleblack5055 Important thing to know about the real history! The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is an ahistorical piece that uses a lot of false details to make Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu look like good people. Guan Yu was militaristically mediocre, was an okay combatant and an assassin. He never defeated actual competent foes, so ROTK made people he defeated more competent than history records them. Zhang Fei was a drunkard, a murderer, would beat his own soldiers while drunk, and even kidnapped, raped and forcibly married Xiahou Yuan's niece while she was a minor. Liu Bei consistently abandoned his wife, with no good reason. He was not a caring or benevolent leader like you would assume from ROTK and other content based off it. Also, all 3 are commonly noted as having been bandits and having raided and pillaged villages. They all suck and I hate how ROTK has made extremely immoral monsters into benevolent heroes.

To be completely honest, I didn't reach out to them. Mainly because a) I had no clue when I could deliver and b) they wouldn't have a clue on the quality So I imagine they wouldn't have gone for it anyway. But I very much appreciate the compliment!

Thing is, if they hadn't been betrayed and forced to act ahead of time it is almost a certianty that they would have succeeded. A rebellion of such an insane scale across all of China-which is HUGE- simply dosn't happen if the majority of an empire's residents are a-okay with the ruling dynasty.

@@PianoMeetsMetal No not really. They would have just established the "Empire under Heaven" which would have been another imperial dynasty. How long it would have ruled, i cannot say because as noble of intentions Zhang Jue were, neither he or his leadership were suited for (from what i can deduce, not definitely) administration. However, I would like to hope that they would have ruled justly and fairly.

The actual saying of the Yellow Turbans is as follows (translated): "The Azure sky is already dead; the Yellow sky will soon rise. When the year is jiǎzǐ, there will be prosperity under Heaven!", meaning that the age of the Han was over and the age of the Yellow Turbans was set to begin.

WAIT!! if uniting a giant empire is really hard because of differing cultures and ideology and managing thousands of corrupted officials as a child is impossible to handle, why not stay divided and be friends with all your neighbors!! I just don't see the point in uniting all the asians into one giant country. Honest workers still will have to pay taxes, get to maintain their culture and practice their religion anyway!

Cody Bonds made a video about the same topic as you. Just I little while after your video was released. He's upload is very similar to your's even using alot of the same wording and jokes as you did. Seems to me like he plagiarized you. I Just thought you should know.
