Don't wish to be rude but who in their right mind is going to pay 3.5k for a Yildiz when you can buy a Browning Pro Sport for the same money or (cheaper used) or £500 more for an Ultra XS Pro......Utter madness....If they were £1500 or £1800 fair enough as they used to be, but they've priced themselves out of the market surely

What is the difference between this one and the sporter with adjustable comb you shot before?
@STTrout

Higher in the comb to start with, bigger stock in general in terms of width and fit. May have a palm swell, set up to shoot high (to see alot of rib). And might possibly be fixed choke, no idea though.

I have a Perazzi MX8 SC3. My son has a Yildiz Pro Trap. Believe it or not Stock's, Barrels and Forends fully interchange with each other! The quality is unbelievably good on the Yildiz. I shot with the Yildiz at Fauxdegla Olympic Trap and shot an 87/100. I have a Yildiz Pro 20 bore, which I bought from David, and shot the game season with, again, totally brilliant. To any gun snobs out there. Please go and try one. You will be pleasantly surprised, if not amazed.

@kekw9928 Yes, I am a big Yildiz lover. I have since bought a Pro Black 12 bore adgustable and a Pro Black Black 20 bore adjustable for my wife. Her's has been shortened considerably as she is only five feet tall. We also had Kickeeze recoil pads fitted as well as having a London finish on the wood, which does look very nice. They shoot beautifully, and my personal opinion is that they are currently the best value for money guns on the market today. My son won the West Midlands Automatic Ball Trap championship last year with his Yildiz Pro Trap.

I think you'll find that Perazzis stocks DO NOT interchange. I would like someone to confirm that a P-gun, MX8-20 or MX20, Type 4 forend will fit the Pro Star. I have Pro Star 20. Love the gun, just not the Schnabel forend. May well be interested in the 12 bore sporter if I can get it fitted with a beaver tail forend.
@martinhambleton5076
@martinhambleton5076 2 месяца назад
@deangebhardt1981 When I said stock, I meant stock and action. Not physically unscrewing the stocks and swapping them. I can't help you with the MX 20 question, I don't know. I do, however, have a Yildiz Pro Black in 20 bore that I shoot game with sometimes. I absolutely love it. It shoots magnificently and has had many admirers on various shoots. I would say that the furniture is near exhibition grade, but I bought it as a grade four. The wood is the first thing that gets commented on. People who are not familiar with Yildiz and being built in Turkey are impressed by the quality of the build.

Hi ! From France (Orléans ). I have, in spite of subtitles, more dificulties than I thought to understand all your sentences. In fact, I would you to ask only ONE question: Is the last pistolet (which your son and you are using at the end of the video) is really the YILDIZ PRO TRAP with 71 cm of barrels ? Seriously? I began training ball-trap since only 2 years, and (I don't know the cost of this activity in United States) with 4 children and their studies, I can't buy better pistolet to train this sport ( like Browning, Beretta or Benelli ). So, friends of mine told me to look after turkish made like YILDIZ for example. Here, when a Browning B725 costs upper than 7000€, we can have a YILDIZ TRAP for about 600€ !! (NEW and not already served). Do you think that with my ball-trap level, it will be enough because I don't want have injuries later after some years of training. I'm waiting for your answer, and overall, you can tell me the real truth. Best regards Mr NGOHOU

@funkla65
@funkla65 2 года назад
@@chriswa5735 I think I know the gist of it. The Miroku action was a simplified Superposed action of high enough quality that Browning decided to adopt it as the Citori. I'm not casting any shade on it - I'd probably rather lean on a Citori or 725 than the Belgian original. Shooters win championships. And some of them prefer the taller Browning action, while others prefer the shallower Boss.

@@andysones7997 ah, yes, it's true that it's not greatly different from the Sporters with the fuller grip. Yildiz Pro prices seem to be jumping a bit over here. If we are going to check the balance of a shotgun put a couple of inert cartridges in the breech and balance the gun on a dowel rod, not just stick your finger under the action somewhere near the hinge pin and deem it to be "well balanced".

@funkla65
@funkla65 2 года назад
Hmm. That looked like an American trap house rather than a bunker. Maybe you do both or a combination over there. The gun: Seen photos and it looks high quality. The configuration isn't quite right for the American market. Totally parallel combs and enough slope in the rib to produce a 70/30 pattern are now the norm, and a number of shooters either want a rib which will adjust to put the pattern 100% high, or they will adjust the stock on a 70/30 to give 100%. Not many like to have their eye high enough over a flat rib to arrive at those points of impact. However, for doubles, that flat rib can work well for someone who gets to the second clay after it's levelling off. Personally, if the configuration worked for me, I'd just as soon run that Yildiz as any Browning or Beretta 6XX.

When someone sticks a finger below the hinge pin and declares how well balanced a gun is, I ask the question and BTW, I have never received a satisfactory answer.. Q, when was the last time you shot at a clay with no shelll or shells in the breech?
@MalcolmPowder
@MalcolmPowder 2 года назад
I would say that because the shells sit almost right above the hinge pin, it's not going to make a lot of difference to the balance. But I assume it's mainlys done like that because it's not particularly safe to close up a loaded gun and balance it on your finger
@harleyquinn6774
@harleyquinn6774 2 года назад
I see your point but in fact the centre of gravity of a shell is quite far back, almost in the brass. It's quite safe to set two shells on top of the barrels in a position that represents reality, this being completely safe. I think it's done because it looks smart, sounds smart but in fact is totally misleading. Another thing I've noticed is if the reviewer wishes to show a gun in the best light and to be well balanced using this method they will shuffle the position of their finger forward or backward slightly to achieve the best result which is actually what David did here as anyone will see if they review this video. I've even seen reviewers using this method to test a semi auto.
@MalcolmPowder
@MalcolmPowder 2 года назад
Haha, yes, testing a semi like this is ridiculous. But surely the CoG of a shell is not by the brass. It's towards the end the lead is kept.
@harleyquinn6774
@harleyquinn6774 2 года назад
Yes! you are entirely correct. Sometimes I feel reviewers want to enhance a review or accentuate the problems simply because they don't happen to be an agent of a certain product. Now I'm sure David would never do that of course????

First thanks for the review.. Second, Do you watch your videos after you publish them on youtube? the reason is I am a big fan of the channel, and when I started watching your videos I was fascinated by the content.. I used to watch the clay when you shoot and enjoy how the clay is dusted (something all clay shooters find immense satisfaction in this 0.2 seconds transformation of the clay into dust). However, lately i started watching you as you shoot to pick up a tip or two from your body movement and techniques that might help me in enhancing my game. And then I started noticing something that you do almost 90% of the time that I can not understand what it is.. I noticed that when you shoot you push the barrel muzzle down as if you are flinching. I swear that it looks like a flinch but knowing that you are so advanced in shooting, it can not be just a flinch like the rest of us average shooters.. Is this a technique you practice for to reposition the barrel for the followup shot, or is really a recoil reaction flinch.. I would appreciate an honest answer. Thank you for all what you do.

@@jamilalwan3327 you mentioned watching the channel to pick up tips and improve your game. My ‘intervention’ is to suggest this is a terrible source of info to improve your game.
