Baba adebanjo how long have you been restructuring the house that cannot be restructured. Eye ma tan wa. We are at the eleventh hours now. Long live a prosperous Yoruba Nation. A safe and secured environment for the next generation.
Pa Adebanjo does not care about Ila-Orangun, Omu-Aran, Saki, Idanre, Akoko, Ilorin ........ He stays within Ijebu-Igbo / Lagos axes and that is all his Yoruba. Those people in his areas prefer to be staying in the way of other Yorubas obstructing progress. They want Nigeria restructured so that they can be suppressing majority Yoruba
@@Omoekun77 bro ordinarily i don't reply to people with this your kind of mentality and tribal sentiment. But the fact about it is we are all suffering together.
These are the problems of one Nigeria. 1. The Fulani are lazy conquerors who think that Nigeria is the home of all Fulani visitors, both here and abroad. 2. The oil has made Nigerians lazier that the minerals in their domain are neglected. 3. Regionalism is freedom from domination and hence true federalism is No No for the Fulani people. 4. Power is just like a blood for the Fulani people, so centralism and not true federalism is anathema to them.
By fir by force true federalism must be the youths are getting to know the truth about true federalism, here lies the danger of not allowing them to express the natural endowment in their place of natural strength. secondly, lazy People if you know them or have seen one, will die in any given opportunity to keep them manifest the obvious laziness, and the military by error in 1966 created that opportunity for the lazies ,leeches to operate , and it is holding the country down from her greatness,I cannot fathom it in this 21 century of brain power a people are afraid to be competitive when the whole world is for competition
This is the first time I agree with Baba, He made fantastic points. We must return to regional governance systems for peace to reign and for economic development. People who are opposing regional autonomy can help themselves by researching reliable data about Nigeria's security system and the state of economy before 1966. Nigeria currency; 98kobo (which is less than 1Naira) was equal to 1$USD. Nigeria was a leading exporter of countless cash crops such as cocoa, rubber, coal, groundnut etc.
All what Pa Ayo Adebanjo is saying was contained in Aburi agreement between Ojukwu and Gowon. Now the eyes of every one is open, they can see what Ojukwu saw 50 years ago. For instance there is no country in the world where Federal govt funds local govt. Local govt council is the problem of states. How can you explain to me that Kano has 44 LGA and should be funded by FG while bayelsa have 8 LGA. It means Kano will receive FG money 5 times more than Bayelsa. Why not states look after their LG. The constitution must be changed. It's the creation of the Military. It makes running of the govt very expensive. Another one is "how can Inspector General in Abuja be the head of security in a state when he doesn't live in that state. The position of Inspector General should be scrapped to allow the state Governors appoint and remove commissioner of police. The last but not the least is "Rotational Presidency". One Region want to continue ruling a country where there are more than 300 ethnic nationalities. The presidency should be rotated between the regions to give every region sense of belonging. There is no region that doesn't have a good person to pick from. God bless Pa Ayo Adebanjo.
But if a certain part of the Country (The North) refuses to restructure because they are enjoying the benefits of a flawed constitution, then the only other option is to break up the Country. If the constitution is illegal then agitation against it is not illegal
Nigeria is a multi national country. Each Nation should rule itself and control the security of their country by themselves. All we want is Yoruba Nation. One country with same culture, same language, same dressing. Everything the same. Let each nation govern its own people. All we want is YORUBA NATION and we want it peacefully with no war, no force. The President should discuss, with the people agitating in a peaceful manner, with UN representative present.
Papa Adebanjo, go and chill! Old age has caught up with you Sir! Let the younger generation determine Nigeria's future. Like it or lump it, there will be many more attempts to dissolve the contraption called Nigeria. Whoever told you Sir that Nigerians want to be lumped together was economical with the truth. Nigeria is not a nation. The peoples of Nigeria are too culturally diverse. They speak different languages, for example. There are hardly any national symbols for Nigerians to cohere around.
Yoruba position is centered on true federalism or regionalism. That position was also among President Tinubu’s demands during NADECO years. Even though today Yorubas are in control of Nigerian power structures, they lack the capacity and ethnic strength needed to make that happen. That is why we should support Igbo presidency because it will be backed with the vast and overwhelming Igbo ethnic strength and capacity to carry out big difficult tasks successfully
Big lie. You sound inexperienced, who told you that Yoruba lack polical will to restructure Nigeria? When Jonathan was President why can he restructure Nigeria?. See, let me tell you one thing, been a president there are limitation to what you can do, there are some certain things which the president needs to seek for support of all TRIBES LEADERS before he will. Even if Peter Obi, become the president he can't do restructuring without the support of all TRIBES in Nigeria.
@@AfolaluFormer Pres. Goodluck Jonathan is not Igbo. He is from SS minority tribe, an accidental, and weakest Nigerian president. Fact is all Nigerian tribes, big and small, including Hausas, excepting Fulanis, want Nigeria to be restructured to true federalism or along regional lines. Why does Tinubu’s government lack capacity to make it happen?
@@henchilamcokej like I said, you are inexperienced. That is all I can say to you., Restructure will come, Tinubu is just 1 year in office don't crucified him yet.
@@Afolalu About me being ‘Experienced or inexperienced,’ leave that aside, let’s discuss issues. You’ve got to understand that immense power is resident at the Nigeria Federal government and whoever is the head has almost absolute powers, including that of coercion, to make things happen. Understand that Fulani as a single minority tribe by population has been able to hold Nigeria hostage to a Unitary system of government for a long time, despite strong oppositions from at least 80 percent of Nigeria tribes. Tinubu lacks the capacity, as a result, lack political will to bring about big positive changes, such as true federalism or regionalism
The ethnic strength of the Igbo didnt win the last election for Obi. The Igbo have yet to realise that elections are won by stretching across ethnic lines, until then political irrelevance is the order of their day. Wake up my son, even Obi has opened one eye, that is why he has started building boreholes in the North.

The only impediments to restructuring is the fear of the Igbos. Hausa-Fulani fears that restructuring will legitimately put arms into the hands of the Igbos. They fear Igbo secession from Nigeria because restructuring will allow Igbos to arm to the teeth and remove their influence in Igboland. Igbos are the only ethnic nation the Hausa-Fulani are very afraid of. Even Britain will advise Hausa-Fulani against restructuring because of the Igbos.
@jimmysteeve7702 I don't blame you because of your poor education. Igbos are not responsible for Nigeria's current state. Blame Gowon who on the advise of Britain and Awolowo abolished regional government and created useless and un viable States to spite the Igbos. Blame former Oba of Benin and Britain who advised against confederation agreed at Aburi. Blame incompetent Northern leaders and Yorubas who have not been able to rule effectively because of low IQ. The last time I checked Igbos have been out of power since 1966. We have seen how Nigeria has turned out for everyone when people like Buhari who is barely educated is allowed to govern Nigeria since 1966. So continue to blame Igbos instead of holding your people accountable. Nigerians are learning in a hard way.
Yorubas gat no ball to restructure Nigeria thus the fulani gang up and hatred against the Igbos. The fulanis use the Yorubas as a willing tools to hold onto power. Whenever it becomes to hot for the fulanis to retain power the look for a weak Yoruba man and give power on thrust and immediately pill pressure on him till they take back power
This your unguarded utterances is the reason why you will continue crying of hating you. You denigrated millions of people in this manner is totally on call for. Then when they replied you started crying of hate
You hits the nail on it's head and the fulanis are doing this In pursuit of their Islamization and fulanization agenda, while the yoruba looks like easy prey to them due to large yoruba Muslim affiliation.
In what way, the yoruba gang up against ibo? The largest concentration of ibo aside from the ibo land is yoruba land. Peter Obi picked hausa/fulani as a running mate, but you are here saying yoruba is ganging up against ibo. Ibo believe in violence to resolve the secession issues, but yoruba believe in diplomatic ways. So, not following your path is a gang up to you? Yoruba thinks ahead and makes decisions that will affect his future positively. Ibo sees enemy in every tribes and stick to ibo believe. Tinubu saw future and worked toward it, by working with hausa ahead of time. Peter Obi saw future and moved away from better chance of becoming a power house in Aso rock. If Peter Obi stays with Atiku, now ibo will be the second man in the nation and work his way to be president. I dislike tinubu, but tinubu will go full length 8 years. After 8 years, brain power of ibo will be on play again. Mind you, Peter Obi is failing already by seeking favours from hausa.
Let Baba Adebanjo show us any developed or developing nation on earth that is not adopting her mother tongues in everything from the cradle to the grave. We need a situation whereby we can adopt the Yoruba language like other nations in our daily affairs. Even Scotland wants out of the UK. Regrettably, nobody calls it tribalism except the unemancipated sons of slaves.
NOT MAKING ATTEMPT, YORUBA NATION SOVEREIGNITY AS BEEN DECLARE AND NO MORE AVAITATION FOR YORUBA NATION. WE HAVE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE YORUBA NOW. ALL THESE BABA SHOULD GO AND REST.
For how long you will sing this song baba , people are suffering in Nigeria, Yoruba or igbo will not be the first to go their own separate ways, United kingdom separated from European Union
You cannot continue to put us Omoluabis under the oppressive government of Nigeria, yes we are not in support of this Onitiri nonesense but Nigeria is not one, Yoruba are a more progressive people than the present formation.
Please stop bothering and stressing Chief Adebanjo. He has paid his dues in full and should be left to enjoy his privacy. There is nothing he alone can say or do that will change Nigeria or be a panacea to a troubled country.
I am confirm indigin ibadan son please trying to keeping my messages because of 2027 because this our father pa Adebanjo Afenifere will do all this because of own interest especially igbo man peter Obi, today's Wednesday 24April 2024,
Are the Yorubas known to be afraid of competition? when it regions they were the first in all human developmental indices..so are you sure you from Ibadan..go read when Ibadan was the capital of western region in Nigeria
1999 Constitution is a monster that has majority support and that makes it unkillable. Therefore, what Pa Adebanjo is ask for is matter not negotiable !
BABA Nigeria's unity is a fake one. We cannot keep on going round and round while our differences are becoming more and more glaring. I stopped feeling like a Nigerian many years ago. We are not ONE!
1954, DID YOU NOW AGREE ON THAT , STOP FORCE UNITY OF NIGERIA UPON THE INDIGINOUS PEOPLE OF YORUBA. .... BABA LEAVE A BETTER LEGACY FOR YOUR GENERATION
President Tinubu has lived in the USA and knows the advantages of true federalism,so why must his administration reject true. For greatest Nigeria so we restructure Nigeria,so my state Edo can showcase their potential greatness
We love you Baba. God bless you. The people of Niger Delta, especially, should be on the front burner of a change of our constitution because it is their oil that developed Abuja. Over seventy percent of the oil wells in the South-South belong to northerners. Nigeria must revert to regionalism.
This Nigeria is not working for the youths, only those politicians that sharing the national cake. Many graduates Yorubas youths without joy, is it not better to leave Nigeria, to have our separate entity than forcing us in Nigeria that is working for us.
The truth has been said from baba adebanjo it is left to the president to do the needful and not to cowardly or selfishly look away from the truth because of 2027 election ambition cause God Almighty gives life and take, he to think of his generations to come.
His body is weak but his mind is sharp. How did he know tope and hauwa, I wish God can allow him make 100yrs but baba looks so feeble in this interview…
The rulers of Nigeria are Fulani elite , who still pledge allegiance to Sokoto caliphate. Yoruba cannot restructure Nigeria because they're not in charge. The alliance with Fulani is between weak Yoruba ( who many in amongst the Muslims) and they are used to mask the Fulani hegemony. Awolowo was not a weak leader that's why they stopped him . Obasanjo was neutralized that's why sha'ria started under him . There's active campaign to neutralize Igbo before giving them power. Even Obi cannot make a good president after 2023. They are trying to neutralize him
I was watching one Apc spokesperson make a fool of himself until I saw this Adebanjo interview. No be person tell me make i run enter here. Apc spokesperson always make me feel hopeless for this country
Papa Adebanjo with all due respect sir i think you are looking at the concept of regional autonomy in the narrow prism of Southwest which to a larger extent is homogeneous and cover substantial territory. If Nigeria is to adopt this then we should be ready for over 200 regional governments where at least every ethnic group will have their own government. Don't you think having such micro government would result to bastardization of the country. To me i do not think our problem is the system of government but we the people who must display good values, integrity and selfless service the ethos of "Omoluabi" No matter the level of restructuring if the people and perhaps leaders attitude and behavior did not change it will amount to nothing.
God bless you Sir and keep you for us. Aburi Accord Agreement between Ojukwu and Gowon is the same restructuring Nigerians are clamouring for now. Gowon fucked up
Papa you’re old you don’t have concerns about what is happening in Yoruba land you’re moving to your time stop being selfish all your speech is speechless
There are over 200 tribes in Nigeria and any tribe that wants to dictate to the other tribes is just wasting its time. Let Mr. Adebanjo point out specifics in the Nigerian constitution that make the constitution unacceptable to some members of his tribe. The Nigerian constitution was not created by the military in the army barracks. Nigerians representing different tribes(including Mr. Adebanjo's tribe) and institutions created the constitution even if they did so during a military regime. It is therefore wrong to refer to the constitution as a military document. It is not practical to create a constitution that will be 100% acceptable to all the different tribes in Nigeria. This is where Democracy comes in and the majority carries the day. Nigeria's present system of government was copied from the USA system. America is operating the same constitution that a few of its citizens created over 300 years ago. Nigeria is only 60 years old and has changed her system of government several times and some tribal die-hards even want the constitution re-written. I believe that all tribes should work together to build a better Nigeria.
So what and what is Nigeria doing the same with America? I live in America, they have an independent electoral body who conduct elections without the politicians messing it up. The judiciary is independent too, there is State police etc. What do you have in Nigeria.. politicians using thugs and miscreants to rig elections and you call that Democracy? When you guys want to change, you will be serious.
