Read the histories, tell the stories of Alfonso Schomburg, Roberto Clemente, Isabella La Negra, Vera Clemente, the Clemente children and the Sports City Complex, about El Gran Combo and Ismael Rivera and the rest, Oscar Lopez Rivera, Dr. Henrik Clarke and the classes of Black and Puerto Rican studies in Hunter College, a movie about Hunter College and this department's focus, kind of like a national treasure African diaspora edition, Puerto Rican edition, Afro Boricua edition... a movie about the Young Lords and Cha Cha Jimenez starring Anthony Ramos as Cha Cha... The breakup of the Young Lords after move to PR and the differences between Nuyoricans and Puerto Ricans. The history of Bomba from slave days to Africaribe days in Chicago and in Loiza to this day... also Ponce, Santurce and wherever else Bomba takes on it's own life... I need Rican stories, I need African diaspora stories with riveting characters, phantasm and absurdity and religiosity and spirituality and mysticism of these stories, so that they capture children's imagination about the future when they see their people as strong and active, and powerful, and extremely human, in Spanish, English, Spanglish and PR pig latin... coming of age stories, biographies, legends, anthropology, biology of melanin... cmon... keep it coming! I need a La Borinquena movie, a La Vejigante movie... all the Rican Superheroes coming together to highlight and support the people of PR in Hurrican Maria or after that... show the true devastation... a proper La Operacion movie... give me it all... I just like watching people exist and struggle and overcome and make their own place.

We share similar critiques. Insightful. Also, do you think the migration to the island was a an engineered way to disband the org?

In cultures of the African diaspora, the elders are not some people you can't wait to abandon in nursing homes, they are people who you listen to for their wisdom and recollection of history. In more modern terms when an OG speaks, you listen!
