This is true, most creators abuse shorts for fame and the play buttons, like you mentioned in videos before. I personaly think shorts should be used as a way to attract newer audiences to the main long formated videos, not just a daily video of whatever shit they put up. But still, anyone can be a shorts creator that only makes short format videos, they got my respect if they dont just mass produce absolute dog water content that somehow farms likes and subs.

there 100% needs to be a seperate yt shorts plaque since literally 90% of channels with over 100k subs are shorts cash cow channels using ai voices or posted 1 lucky short and got 100k which just doesn’t happen for long form usually
