I've always felt sorry for the Patil sisters in this scene. Like, god, they were asked by the two most awkward and sullenly obnoxious boys in the grade. And then they just sit there while the dudes pay them no attention.
And one of them even had to deal with their date being jealous of somebody else, Padma was the one i felt the most sorry for, at least Pavarti got to dance, while Padma had to sit all due to her date being jealous
I really like how the Patels wore Saris and Cho wore a traditional sort of Chinese outfit. The incorporation of their cultures was a great choice in this scene.

This scene from both the book and the movie always makes me ship Neville and Ginny. If Harry didn't marry Ginny in the end then I would've loved to see Neville with her.
I really like Neville and Ginny too. He seems like the kind of shy, nerdy teenage guy I could relate to, and Ginny was said to be popular, fun, and kind. I imagine he felt pretty excited that she would go with him.
Well Luna wasn't introduced yet in Goblet of Fire. And Neville hadn't met her yet (they meet on the train in the 5th book, and when Luna asks who he is he says "I'm nobody").

2:15 - They may be difficult to spot for those who don't know where to look for them, but I like how Vincent Crabbe just jumps up and down with his hands on Viktor Krum's shoulders.
I think he really was enjoying himself. His plan was going perfectly well and he had been in Azkaban for a good long while, I don't think he went to a lot of yule balls there.

The movies don't do a good job of showing Harry and Ginny's chemistry. Read the books and you will think they are the cutest couple ever, true love at its finest.
I always loved the inclusion of the Yule Ball in the series. It was a good way to showcase the typical teen drama with getting a date and being jealous without it feeling too out of place. Also, I LIVE for Professor Flitwick crowd surfing! 😂😆🤣
Favorite part of this entire scene? Neville and Ginny dancing, honestly they would make an adorable couple but I prefer Neville/Luna and Harry/Ginny, makes more sense to me.
@@kierunikoforovretro Ginny was more than worthy to Harry and Harry was worthy to her as well. They both proved to be equal and amazing for each other - that's the whole point of their relationship.
@@kierunikoforovretro Well yeah she had a crush on Harry early on but it was more of a "omg harry is the boy who lived, he is so famous" sort of crush. Later on, she actually started liking Harry for who he was and genuinely became close with him. All of what I'm saying gets touched up on the books tho, the movies don't mention anything.

I feel like it would be pretty epic and funny if Snape was all silent and serious throughout the early part of the ball and then joins the rock band as the lead singer or the bassist or guitarist when everything gets all heat up. Because you know, he has that rocker look.
