This Yuto part really has it all ! He wanted to bring it back to the VX for this one ! Enjoy ! aprilskateboar... Filmed by Kevin Perez Additional filming Eric Koston Joseph Nicolaus Eric Iwakura Dan Abadi Ant Travis
Watching Yuto skate is mental, that skyscraper switch tail felt never ending he was sliding for so long 🤯 props to Kev as well for all the hard work he puts in with filming and creating masterpieces like this along with the others!
@@romanizaboss6641 you must not skate or even know anything about skating to think hes boring. watching yuto execute these moves with ease is masterful
This part definitely cements him in the pantheon of guys whose skill level gives them an uncanny valley feeling. It doesn’t seem real. Nyjah, Shane, Aurelian, Joslin, Yuto.
Let’s not forget Pj Ladd, definitely laid a lot of the ground work for the effortless style skating that we see today, in a single, Local skateshop part. The way the people drag their back foot out on tre flips, keeping the arms down and not flailing, effortless
This really reminded me of how skate parts used to be, incredible and groundbreaking skateboarding but with a totally nostalgic feel, makin this 35 year old feel like a teenager again! So good!
@@Danny_Salad which one? Edit: I don't have itunes and am on and off about the news when a part drops. I miss anticipating the release for a full length video. These parts are all scattered about
@@antman0719 I realize now that it might have been from The Berrics, according to the title. But either way, a great vx part. It dropped almost 10 years ago, which is nuts because I feel like it was just a few years ago ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LEZyksvB6qk.html
Vx1000 parts always look so much better. Tricks look better and the colors. No HD/4K beats the golden colors that the vx produces. That part was amazing!
Yuto is ridiculous! Sugarcane a rail? Wtf was that ender!? How do you do that trick? And how the heck do you do that down a legit rail? Amazing tricks and great style. Solid part, Yuto.
@Tendo Pain what in gods nameeee does that have to do with it being first try ?? There’s plenty of things that could’ve went wrong where at the same time Yuto would prob walk right way from a miss gracefully without getting even close to hurt …. Kinda like how Ishod and Foy are soo good at bailing/falling handrails it’s not even funny. Most missed they just end up running down the rail or stairs like it’s nothing 😭. But anyway, Yeah there’s nothing to support whatsoever that this was done first try 🤷🏻♂️. Wrong answer
what's crazy is, if he's a perfectionist like a lot of dudes, he probly did some of these trick lots of times til it looked perfect, which is just unbelievable
Yuto's skating is just art. Effortless style and mindblowing skill. Crazy thing is he is only going to get better. Can't imagine what he'll be doing in a few years.
Reporting in 2 years later: nollie front foot flip nose slide a rail and nollie back big heel board slide a rail for trick of the year. That’s what he’s doing
Dude same here, they way he lands when hes coming out of a spin is just insane, he stops spinning on the drop of the dime then it looks like he wasn't spinning at all, gotta be the best posture in the history of skating, I mean the man did a sugar cane and made it look like it was just a board slife or something, his shoulders are always down like he knows hes gonna land these tricks. I love that kind of confidence he is fully aware of his abilities
Biiiiiig ups to the editor. I was just laughing from the middle to the end... Perfect timing with the board hitting things like an extra percussion to the music. You could almost predict the tricks after a while! BE-A-UTIFUL!
My jaw dropped even lower when I realized that was a switch back tail shove. Yuto will always be one of my favourite skaters. He's full of surprises and stylish.
This guy is just absolutely amazing! His Olympic run was just awesome. I was rooting for Nyjah but this Yuto dude is just too damn good and got the gold! Flawless with the board.
Kristion Jordan (12 years old) does a fs lip down that same set too! It’s in his Volcom part that came out in the last couple weeks or so. Super rad! Just don’t goofy footed without the board snap and a decade or so age difference! Thanks for the ukulele vids!!
@@pupiberto the rail at the end? Pretty sure it’s downtown Houston’s tranquility park, across from city hall. That rail put me in the hospital 15 years ago trying a front board. I have massive amounts of respect for anyone doing anything on it
I love the song selection: as he destroys spot after iconic spot with the what looks like the minimalist of effort, in the background you hear, “are we still friends” over and over. Like, “sorry, not sorry,” but much more beautiful.
In the very very beginning, skateboarding was popularized by a Japanese dude, and now also a Japanese dude is taking it to the next/another level. Good Job Yuto! I skated in California, mostly in San Francisco and Oakland, during the 90s but it was a super mega ultra hella White/Black/Hispanic but not Asian thing. I felt like I was such an outsider and sometimes even felt like I was not supposed to be skating in the mainly White thing. Great to see a Japanese skater ruling the scene like he is. Keep on going Yuto-kun! So proud of him! Much thanks too though to the super cool our Asian White (Australian) brother Shane O'Neill of April for giving him a chance to go pro!
I am proud of being a Japanese person because young Japanese people have been highly evaluated in foreign cultures. I'm really happy because I didn't want to expect the day when Japanese people would be so active on skateboarding while I was alive. It may be strange English because it uses the translation function of the Internet, but thank you to all overseas skateboard fans.
