I love these cheap little semi-realistic foamdart guns for teaching youth things like trigger control, basic familiarity, and overall firearm safety. Cars exist, knives exist, ovens exist, and there are realistic toy versions of each of those potentially dangerous objects for kids to learn with too. So why not pistols and rifles? In short, the earlier someone can be taught how to handle certain things with respect, the safer they'll be in a world full of those things when they get older. Thanks for putting this info out there, and for the 2 hour scrolling spree in about to have on Amazon.
Absolutely agree! My dad taught me on a red Ryder BB gun and when I got older and into paintball and airsoft it astounded me how many folks had no weapon safety, no muzzle awareness, nothing. I was always thankful to him for that as it’s a important skill. Like you said, stuff exists, so it’s better to be knowledgeable and prepared than blissfully unaware. Or to use one of my favorite quotes, “forewarned is forearmed”
