The Zulu nation was not "conquered" at Ulundi. The Zulu king was advised by his chief induna to "surrender" to the British. There were still active Zulu regiments in the field at the time, ready, willing and more that able to fight the British.

I think it's time people know the truth about the origins of Zulu people. They are not from central Africa. They were just crossing over in central Africa most probably between Nigeria and Cameroon. It is misleading but i see what they mean. As a unified nation and not just tribes, it is 200 years old. Before King Shaka "Zulu" referred to a tribe and not an entire group of people with one common identity. Zulu in this sense or Post Shaka Zulu encompasses everyone (Zulu, Mthethwa, Ndwandwe, Xulu, Mbuyazi, Sibiya, etc)

The Title is somewhat misleading. The Zulu Kingdom was founded by Shaka. But the Zulu were also part of Makwerekwere. And these tribes were there LONG before the Zulu kingdom. Now it seams as if the Zulu nation only appeared in SA, right at the time the British came there. This is untrue. They were there centuries way before the whites. The title is misleading. Correct it.
Zulu Kingdom yes is 200 yrs but they is that bigger nation which is Nguni. Mnguni came from Uganda leading these ppl.u will find Abantu in Uganda even today. Their leader was Untu who is originally from Sudan. So the bigger nation was Ngunis until Shaka build Zulu so. and ppl in Kzn are not all Zulus the bigger clan is Qwabes even today.

200 years since Shaka Zulu created the Zulu Kingdom before that there were Nguni ppl from different clans like Mthethwa, Ndwandwe and Zulu. It was the Zulu clan under Shaka that united these different clans into one nation. The history of people of Judah is history of Bantu ppl in general where they walked from the Levant and Egypt after the invasion of Arabs.
