happens with highly syncopated and written out songs... especially when they're like a thousand figures u have to hit... still struggle with it, and have been for a while now
I'd say this was one of the easier ones to predict, just from how high and offset the note was- it wouldn't make sense to have the song try to continue off of that- still a great sightread (?) taking into account what he soldiered through for the first 4 minutes
Yeah it was arranged so good. It's on my loop for almost a week. Even the 8bit drummer himself was impressed by the song and admitted he had hard time.
The fact that Suisei can demand this composition speaks volumes about her artistry. I'm no musician but the quality in production with Suisei's direction is just beautiful. I really admire her for producing these masterpieces.
Jarod never fails to impress me as a drummer. On the spot improvisation and figuring a song such as GHOST is way past my creativity. And I knew if he'd ever cover it, he'd react EXACTLY as I thought Mad props for 8bitdrummer for being such a talented drummer. GHOST is a banger.
From one drummer to another, the only advice I can give is start practicing. Practise your rudiments, practise with a metronome and practise other stuffs like quituplets, displacement notes, polyrhythms and such. Listen to the great drummers like Gavin Harrison, Danny Carey, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, Joe Morello, Benny Greb, Tony Williams and practise and learn from them This song is easy to improvise on since it's just a basic 4/4 song and you will feel the same too
Seeing him get blindsided by the way the song progresses, but also so immersed as he gets drawn into the swell of it is so good. Even with the hiccups the amount he can improv on a first listen is seriously so impressive every time - down to the smallest details like at 2:46
Especially considering how flawlessly he can do just about any song on the first listen. You can tell he was having trouble on some parts, but seeing him get it and analyze what threw him off was really enlightening to just how impressive of a drummer he is and how good ghost is.
@@Norikofromcorpsefactory I think Kanata is the best Collab singer. Suisei's just a step above with solos for me. Towa's definitely a contender for low(er) ranges too
I watched this in his VOD, and I really have to say, it sounds so good, especially with the fact it was his first time listening. Really hope he tries it again in the future. Incredibly beautiful song, and incredible drumming. Also its pretty sick he decided to cover it today, since the MV is about to hit 1 million!
Ironic, because that was Jerod guessing wrong. Twice in a row he hits cymbals expecting the beat to drop, and it doesn't. He adapts well to it, though.
The whole song is very well written, so I'm no surprised he was a little caught off guard by the drums. But he's a hell of a player, so he caught on quickly enough.

This has gotta be one of the best recommendation I have ever gotten. The improvisation is so good, it really fits Ghost. Ghost is really good, definitely on par with my most favorite song(Tenkyuu). I'm glad that more people are hearing Ghost, I hope it'll spread to more people, though I'm sure it'll definitely will.
Wow figuring out the exact drum rhythm on the spot is actually so sick, especially on such bangers like Suisei's songs. Definitely deserves more credit where credit is due
@@gaiko804 i mean, yes, its an original song, but i think he can still upload it, since its more of a drum cover than a just copying the video itself, i dunno how the RU-vid policy works when it comes to copyright but i think he made enough noise and drumming to not get a copyright
