For the manga readers... Just watching Scott's face when Grant and Lani start bringing up American super heroes. That was some s-tier impulse control to not let anything slip lol
Is it bad that in the opening scene, When the entire city is being destroyed, everything is burning down, all the people are dying in uniquely horrible ways, there is this one quirk-less man, clearly traumatized, and one of the villains responsible for all the carnage just waltz right up to him and said " We saved you!" I just burst out laughing?
I recall hearing the movie takes place between endeavor agency and the mva arcs which led me to be confused as to how well deku could handle black whip cause he said he could only use it for a few seconds at a time
I’d agree that this movie sits above the first and below the second. But in all three of them are just decent fun, so it’s hard to get worked up or even bother nitpicking. MHA in general seems to operate on the principle that if you always aim for a B+ you’ll never fail. Can’t get behind some of the criticisms though. I actually liked Rody’s quirk being the bird, it’s good to see someone with a weird mundane quirk getting the win. Same with the main villain: that was probably the best quirk you could give him to both make him threatening and also understandably pissed off at having it.
Now here’s my thing: how on God’s green Earth did AFO allow this to happen? I thought he was like the #1 crime boss. The main villain can reflect all contact. How did AFO not make a road trip to snag THAT quirk?
Wait so I just had a thought, if the villains whole thing was "nothing can touch me because I reflect everything" doesn't he have a scene where he is holding the quirk dooms day book? I honestly don't remember I saw the movie when it first dropped in Japan with my very loose grasp on the Japanese language.
I agree that this is a better movie than Two Heroes, but not as good as Heroes Rising. I like most of it, I think it has the better main villain motivation, though the villain ensemble aside from Arrow Girl weren't grabbing me as Nine's Squad did. I like the beginning and ending a lot, but the middle was starting to drag a bit. The road trip part is something that I might have enjoyed if this were in the show or manga proper, but for a movie it wasn't doing it for me. I was fine with most of the series cast being kinda not important, but I wish that Bakugo and Todoroki weren't sidelined as much as they were. For how this was advertised as "The Three Musketeers." and we just get One Musketeer and d'Artagnan. I liked Roody enough that it doesn't make me that upset, but it didn't sit well with me how that advertising wasn't as important. Especially when it felt like a natural progression from focusing on Deku, then Deku and Bakugo, and then all the Big Three. Edit: either I imagined this or you all missed this, but your idea of Deku getting him gently then using some other force to attack wouldn’t work. I had thought that Deku said “all right, I need to try to hit him without a smash.” And he was knocked back just the same. So he had tried attacking without his quirk and it still reflected intensely.
I just saw this movie last weekend, and it honestly have to be my favorite one thus far. The first one was alright and the second was pretty good, but this one was just amazing since it easily had the most interesting story. Being that it involves a doomsday cult that thankfully has nothing to do with All For One or the League of Villains, and Rody was by far the best original character to come from these movies. With the friendship he makes with Deku in particular being very sweet and touching. And of course, the action scenes are AMAZING and had my eyes glued to the screen. The villains were pretty meh, but that’s never really been the strong suit of these movies. At the very least, this one’s backstory was actually explained in the movie itself instead of a tie-in manga. Overall I’d give it an 8.5/10, and easily recommend it for any MHA fan. Though I just hope that this’s the last movie, since the only drawback of them is that they have to pull staff from the anime to work on them, which in turn cuts down on the production value of the anime. And you could definitely tell where corners were cut in the last arc of the latest season.
Saw the film last night, it wasn't too bad. I thought the villain was the best of the three films, the villain actually had a goal and some legitimate reasons for his actions, but the final battle was the worst of the three films. I do wish they had showed other heroes from different countries, like Lani said, the overwhelming majority of the heroes shown were just class 1-A, I understand the reasoning but I just felt it was a missed opportunity.
Spoilers for anime/manga also we already have an example of someone with a bad parent quirk mix... Dabi.. he has flame powers and a body that is built to stand the cold, as in he would heat up faster then Endevour which is why his father saw him as a failure
All of Deku’s major fights so far have resulted in “punch harder.” Gentle Criminal and Lady Nagant are the only ones he ever had to think of a different strategy
I’m kinda upset that those stealth suits that were shown off in the promotion stuff were kinda only used for one scene at the beginning and then never used again. Part of me really wished they were gonna wear them for the final fight but they just were just wasted and never seen again. I get it was a stealth mission I feel you could e used those for other things too not just for one scene.
Right? I mean, the entire operation was meant to be a single decisive strike to put an end to a global terrorist organization. Why even bring the normal suits at all? Also, isn’t it a little funny how out of all the heroes on this mission, they’re apparently the only 3 who stand out & need specially made stealth suits?
Yeah I thought that was pretty funny especially when there was also a manga chapter written for the movie kinda like a prologue esc. thing and they even talk about making the suits and yet it makes them feel even more wasted cause it’s like “oh here’s an idea let me have my characters come up with an idea for stealth suit that they’ll only wear once that’ll be great.”
I was just curious about how you guys said that flecht with his quirk would have so many other opportunities, I think the world as horikoshi set it up was that unless you're a hero you can't use your quirk for any other type of employment, least I think so cuz never see any other type of job being enhanced with a quirk, cuz that could go into legal repercussions of he was only hired cuz his quirk is useful I have 10 yrs experience blah blah blah, and I think but not sure flecht also reflected people's emotions back at them too, so kindness and love was reflected back as pain and hate, but I can forgive most stuff in anime so long as I enjoyed the ride, so this is totally forgivable
the thing that kinda pissed me off was the crime they said deku did, see its so easy to frame deku without making it painfully obvious that he didnt do it. see i can explain right here. Deku killed a civilian(the scientist) in while chasing down his now hostage rody though it might be an accident police are asking Deku to come in for questioning. Calling him a mass murderer is really unbelievable when there is absolutely no evidence to prove such a claim so how would you get the heroes on your side with a poorly made up crime.
@@kamronspencer4910 yeah but it’s still a weak excuse that would have the heroes looking into your credibility the framing would’ve worked if they used their crime as a way to make deku look like a criminal without making the heroes not think you’re not framing him the mass murder thing is just way too extreme to be believable also with the fact that they highlighted this plot line with the majority of the trailers just for it to be a half assed framing

Your planning for them to all die soon and the only thing that can stop that from happening is deku and rody. You just need them to die and then you can just wait for the heroes to die to.
@@kamronspencer4910 he wouldn’t due to them attempting to kill him and his “hostage” the thinking he killed someone doesn’t need to be an all movie part, it can be a hint of doubt due to a situation this is ideas, you can’t say that the mass murder thing was really good especially since there’s no evidence of that crime, with the dead scientist, right there you can actually use that due to there were witnesses, that they could pay to lie about what they saw, or that they saw deku near the scene to further place doubt on dekus innocence I’m just saying I need more logic than a trash mass murder framing. The thing is they want the heroes to push their plans instead of foiling it. This way you can include the other characters instead of them just doing cameo scenes
One of the biggest criticisms I have heard is people expected something and got something completely different. Like when they set the tone at the beginning with the bombs or whatever. Also when they teased brand new hero suits and they were barely put in the movie. They made a whole thing out of those suits and just didn’t have them wearing them enough. More examples can be said but it is pretty obvious to point them out.
I think that is less a critique of the movie as it is the marketing. Think about in a year or two when you watch the movie, you wouldn't have watched the trailer (most likely) so you wouldn't expect something. I always think expectations can't be used as a reason for something being bad unless the story itself (not the trailers) lead you in a bad direction without proper buildup.
@@upg5147 I didn't watch the trailers or knew anything about the movie before I watched it and just from the title my expectations were completely different.
My biggest issue with the movie was when Beros killed herself, the boys didn't really try to save her or really have a reaction to someone killing themselves, even after Izuku tells Rody that he'll pretty much save anyone who needs it, and cult-brainwashed Archer seems like it's under that umbrella. But this is the second time Izuku's seen a person die and he just kinda mehs it. All the other villains in the movies and shows just get carried away with the Iron Maidens.
I liked that Deku just overpowered the instant reflect. That entire ending fight was basically a rerun of All Might vs Nomu (they even have lines of dialogue from it) to show Deku has now started becoming that which he once looked up to in a very defined way. That was HYPE for me when I realised that and that he solved it the exact same way as All Might did.
While that idea is cool, the execution was lacking. Like, it looks doped as hell but like they said in the podcast, he was fucked already with all those wounds, I doubt he could do half of that and then from what we know in the series he shouldn't be able to go this hard without losing his arms so I just couldn't stop thinking of that when I watched it. There are ways to make it work better I think and give us our cake and eat it too.
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! 8-9/10 from me. I might be in the minority, but the “fun little ridiculously dramatic side story” shonen anime movie is a nostalgic genre for me. WHM is right up my alley honestly. I loved Rody as a character, to the point where I wouldn’t mind him showing up down the line in the main story somehow. And the plot was both silly and surprisingly moving. I agree about the frenetic direction for the action scenes - it reminded me about Sanghoo Park’s direction in JJK (which definitely triggered my motion sickness a few times lol…), but overall the animation in this film was stellar.
Flect: "I hate my quirk, I have no control over it and it has never let me be close with anyone" Deku: "I was able to touch you, your quirk is fine, you just gave up too easily, you didn't try hard enough" ...Deku, stfu, where's he gonna find a girl to hold his hand at One For All 100%?
@@mangamandrew Not sure what you're trying to argue here. My point is that even with the added "He wasn't going 100%" that changes almost nothing. There are still very few people that could touch him.
I laughed so hard at that giffable punching moment you mentioned at the beginning of the spoiler section. I have a feeling I wasn't supposed to laugh, but it looked so god damn silly it snapped me right out of the movie.
It may be strange to some, but my favorite MHA film is actually Two Heroes. The other two definitely have the edge animation-wise, but Two Heroes was the only one I felt added to the world by giving more of a look into All Might's past. Plus I liked Dave's motivation in that one: In a worse movie, he would've just become an irredeemable bad guy who threw away the principles he had when he worked with All Might just because. Instead, he actually did it because he thought it was the right thing to do, not realizing that maybe it was time to let the new generation pick up where the previous left off. It adds a few layers that I appreciate and ties into the themes of the main story. The animation is about on-par with the TV series, but All Might T-posing to assert dominance is still cool as hell and you can't convince me otherwise. Also, Bakugo's boyfriend gets him a suit. Overall, I still really like that one and would gladly rewatch it again. As for the other two, I don't remember a lot about Heroes Rising's story, just that the animation was pretty, and this new one had some nice chemistry between Deku and Rody, but it was pretty run-of-the-mill Shonen Jump anime film outside of that. Overall, I can take or leave Movies 2 and 3.
That's kind of my thoughts too. Two Heroes I think has the stronger narrative because David's plot and the pathos it brings to the table. And, like you said, it feels like it actually ties into the themes of the main story. Two Heroes feels like an MHA movie that's actually ABOUT MHA. Not that Heroes Rising doesn't have a little bit of that two with Midoriya and Bakugo's interactions with the kids but Nine, outside of getting powers from AFO, really has nothing to do with anything MHA related. He's essentially just a "might makes right" villain who is after the kid because it'll make him more powerful. Wolfram was just a criminal but he at least fit with David's fears of what any simple criminal could do in a world without All Might, that tragedy aided by the fact that it was David himself who put him in that position.
Completely agree and also I think Melissa is the best movie introduced character out of the three movies as a girl without a quirk that still is some kind of hero.
The best thing I can say about this movie is that it made me appreciate Heroes Rising even more. I realize part of that might be because it used elements from a proposed finale, but it still had more interesting villains and let the rest of Class 1-A do stuff. Even without Two For All, it still had more going for it. I think I've got it. World Heroes Mission feels like a filler arc, Heroes Rising felt like something that is relevant to the overall plot.
38:15 Oh man, that would be a great filler ep! Especially if they had Mt. Lady and Godzillaman be portrayed at full size the whole time so it's like a fake classic Tokusatsu.
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen it: Since we know with how well this movie did that they're likely doing a fourth one, PLEASE stop giving the movie villains the power that it's hard to damage them. One movie had metal tendrils and super strength, movie 2 had his super shield and various counters, and this one just reflects damage back. It's not interesting when they villain barely has to do anything and the solution is always HIT THEM REALLY, REALLY HARD so their powers can't block it.
I understand with movies one and two, but with this one especially due to the fact that Midoriya isn't there yet, I thought the finale was going to involve a non-violent resolution. This movie made me skeptical that the damage he takes just gets hand waived you know?
The worst part is this movie had a way to avoid repeating the final fight. HumaRise is suppose to be a bunch of Quirkless fanatics, have the main boss be Quirkless, show off some badass hand to hand combat.
Honestly this villian was the first to be so broken. The others just have good powers at their disposal, but this guy's power ontop of being able to reflect shit, was always friggin on which thus led to the 'just overpower him' thing you mentioned. At least with the others there's a matter of being faster or more cunning to get around their powers and attacks. This guy was just infinite No-U with no choice other than to punch harder.
As I watched, I kept wondering what would happen if someone introduced Flect Turn to Overhaul. I get the feeling they would be BFFs No spoilers, but there are few fights that seemed like they were Bones taking a practice round for a couple of fights in season six.
Since Grant had the book, I was surprised he didn't mention the part that said that Flect needs to shove a support item into his eye sockets so it can absorb light for him because his reflection quirk also works on light essential making himself blind. I guess he didn't read that part of the book that was going over Flect's character design.
I agree with the fights. Deku literally “just hitting harder and faster” made his battle extremely boring and dragged out. Bakugo’s actual strategy in battle was badass, but his fight then goes into a phase two that’s basically the same ol trading blows til he wins. Also, he and Deku just get CONSTANTLY WRECKED. They are pierced all over, gushing blood and getting pummeled almost endlessly and it’s just so hard to believe they’re not dropping dead “because anime plot armor.”
Spoiler The one thing I'm surprised they didn't nitpick was that all of the promotional material for this movie was Todoroki, Bakugo, and Deku in those new black costumes and they only wear them in the opening sequence. That was a let down because those suits were awesome and I remember Lani bringing it up earlier saying how cool those new costumes look. I know it's something small but it was all over the promotional material for the movie and they hardly wear them
I did notice that there were a lot more bloody injuries in this movie. I actually said the alternate title could be: "Major Blood Loss, Yet we Survived" 😟 SPOILERS Bakugo and Todoroki weren't in this movie as much as I would have liked and yeah, thinking back on it, Bakugo's fight was a little confusing to follow. Still, I did enjoy it. The action and chase scenes were pretty awesome. And I did like Bakugo being the computer savvy one(though really it was just common sense and basic logic).
Deku shoto and bakugou should have kept their black stealth suits and made them their permanent suits you can’t change my mind. Also the climax of this movie isn’t as good as the deku and bakugou double One For All vs All For One’s successor fight in terms of animation,fighting, and wow factor over all. I did like the part where deku was swinging around like spider man
A few points I want to bring up: I believe that the arrow girl when she realized the case was missing and replaced, she called fleck turn to tell him the news. Then after that, the police come. And Fleck turn motives make more sense when your remember how Toga, La Brava, and Shigaraki became villains. They became ostracized from society because of their quirks either directly or indirectly. So the idea that Fleck became this hate red for quirks makes sense. Overhaul also was someone who thought quirks are a disease too. And I want to bring up that Deku vs Fleck mirrors( pun not intended) the fight between the Nomu with Absorption quirk vs All Night and how All Might pushed the limit of the about toon quirk the same way Deku pushed the limit of Fleck’s reflection quirk.
still early in the video but wanted to say that the fastness of Bakugous fight was,in my opinion, part of what made it so cool and intentional. The serpents were meant to be incredibly fast, in synch and dizzying even to Bakugou himself, so it makes sense that we're not able to tell which one is attacking. Thought it was good, but I liked the first two movies better, The first movie shows us more of Prime All Might and gives us the visual of Deku and All Might defeating a villian together. Then the second movie acts like an alternative ending to the franchise with the discount All for One, as cliche as it was.
This movie really just shows how bad the pacing of the anime is. They really just either don't know how, or just like to selectively make the pacing of the power creep convenient for them.
Ever since I saw the movie in theaters the first time I thought that last fight where deku activated 100% of his power, was all of his quirks activated at once, because it looks like that's exactly what is happening. But I guess I was wrong as it says that was just Full Cowling 100% on the wikia But yeah other then that, Deku straight up calls Flect out on his abilities stopping him from living a normal life, mentions that there were ways he could get around it, he just stopped trying. Flect isnt a Genius, thats why he needed all those scientists to help him, he was just a super Charismatic Fear Monger, kinda like a certain somebody from World War II. He says that Everything gets reflected from him, so it seems like its not just touch, but also things like emotions, so nobody could love him because their love just got reflected back, unable to stick. He is unable to fully connect with anybody in any way outside of One-Sided interactions like him telling his minions what to do.
I liked this movie best out of all three. Rody was the core of the movie and really made this one stand out for me. The first one was all right, nothing too spectacular, but I got really turned off by the second one's final fight. The final fight in the second movie had absolutely drop dead gorgeous animation, but it lacked any narrative weight. The villain was a dollar store knock off of All for One, with the character depth of a puddle. I don't even remember what his goal was, if he even had one, beyond getting a kid's healing quirk. They established that the villain using his multiple quirks was hazardous to his health, meaning he can't be in an intense fight for a prolonged time, but it's never a factor. He just keeps using his quirks over and over and more intensely with no sign of slowing down, fighting Deku and Bakugo at a level that ought to be killing him. However, Deku giving Bakugo One for All to win the fight is what really killed the second movie for me. During that scene, I had actually considered the possibility of Deku no longer having One for All and the ramifications that it would have on the story. About the time the animation ramped up, I had realized that it was too drastic and permanent a change for an anime movie to make, that it went against Deku's goal to be the number one hero and, like a popped balloon, all emotional tension was lost. It completely soured what should have been an amazing moment and made me really dislike the second movie.
I absolutely thought Rody would/should die at the climax. Like Grant said, these movies are typically an excuse to do something they couldn't justify in the show, and I was convinced this was a "you can't save everyone who deserves saving" type story where Rody saves the day, but dies doing it. Some might not agree but I 100% think the movie would have been better and more impactful if they'd gone this direction... and I actually suspect this was their original plan. We'll wait and see what information comes out about it.
I think all the movies are cannon because of how we got 2 anime original episodes for the first movie and 3rd movie, as for the 2nd, the reason I think it's cannon is because if you read the my villain academia manga chapter(since apparently s5 didn't think it was cool or important)where shigaraki is telling the doctor that he wants to bring destruction, it shows practically everyone we have seen before in the show and manga but also including nine being apart of the people shigaraki hates. Of course I may be wrong, but those are some examples that I found or remembered.
So the reason they give for japans heroes to mobilize instead of the other countries own heroes is the concern that humarise is watching the heroes in those areas and would act fast either triggering the bombs or moving them away. The original plan was a quick stealth operation to knock out the entire group in one night. They had this planned down to where their leader should’ve been. Unfortunately none of the bombs were found as well as the leader of humarise. All teams were told to stand down and await further orders.
I also think Japans hero society is just stronger in general than other countries due to Almight’s Legacy. The reason that UA students were their was that this was during the work studies, in which they need to prepare as many upcoming heroes for a possible huge battle, allowing this to be the perfect opportunity to do so.
I really like it probably my favourite of the 3 films but I was asking why didn't Deku use his black whip at all in the final fight or even to wrap up his injuries.
I wonder if someone who had a quirk neutralising ability that was exposed to the gas would just negate everyone's ability in the city thus saving everyone?
In regards to one of Grant's comments, I would say that the thing that we got in this movie that won't happen in the main series is Midoriya's United States of (World) Smash. It's not something that technically can't happen, but I'm guessing putting it in here is their way of saying that they're not just going to have Midoriya copy All Might's strongest move towards the end of the series. Also, I'm probably in the minority, but I actually liked Two Heroes and World Heroes' Mission more than Heroes Rising. The fights in Heroes Rising were amazing, but I just couldn't get as into the story as I could with the other two. Two Heroes had the whole thing with how reliant David Shield was on All Might and how everything he did was because he didn't know the truth about OFA, and in World Heroes' Mission, Rody's story was very compelling and I liked the discourse regarding the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory in the last fight. With Heroes Rising, I just wasn't all that invested in the story with the two kids or Nine.
I totally agree that Two Heroes and World Heroes' Mission were better than Heroes Rising. Heroes Rising was great, and definitely had some of the best action in the entire series, but I feel like it was too reliant on its action to carry the story. Also, Nine was an extremely boring villain. I love Two Heroes, mostly because of how (much like World Heroes' Mission) it brings in an entirely new character who helps carry the plot and can actually do things to affect it. Also, Melissa is an absolute gem, and I was stoked that she got a brief cameo in this one. The villain from Two Heroes was probably the weakest part of it, but at least he isn't just a weaker All For One like Nine was. I actually loved Flect as a villain, because he feels like what Midoriya could have become at any point in the series with the whole giving up and not trying to keep pushing past his limits thing.
Yes spot on. The fighting and animation in heros rising is amazing and everything we could've asked for but story was very lacking. It was like dbs broly with 5min dialogue hours of fights. With world heros mission there was a story and plot moving everything along and it was all enjoyable. Especially comming off season 5 villian arc. Two heros is basically allmights last horah
Haven't managed to see WHM yet but I definitely agree with like Two Heroes more than Heroes Rising (though I did still like HR). I think it had the stronger, or at least more compelling story. Nine is essentially just a "might makes right" villain who's after the kids because it'll make him even more powerful, while the stuff with David and All Might has a bit more pathos to it. Plus, while Nine got his powers from AFO, he really isn't connected to anything from MHA. The events of the series and its characters really mean nothing to him or shape his views on anything. He exists independent of them outside of the power-up. While Two Heroes feels more like a movie ABOUT MHA because its story revolves around David and so much about him connects directly back to All Might.
This is actually my favorite of the mha movies. Mainly just because it seemed a lot more focused following mainly Deku and Rody instead of a ton of characters. I also just really really like Rody.
I enjoyed the movie but I do think the second one is a little bit better to me. Also I love grants idea of rody fusing with his bird quirk to transform hope someone makes fanart of that
This is going to be a really weird comparison, but the final battle reminded me of the boss battle with Mara in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Izuku couldn't do any significant damage until Flect Turn used up all his MP.
I’m surprised I haven’t heard anyone mention this anywhere, but did anyone else notice that a few times throughout the movie, Deku would call out an attack, but then not use that attack? For example, at one point he yells out “Detroit Smash,” but then delivers a big kick. Maybe I just misread what was happening on screen, seeing as how some of the action scenes were so fast-paced. It wasn’t just me, right?
Spoilers: The guys are in those new costumes for a generous 15 minutes...then we never see them again. Also the room did more damage to deku than the bad guy.
It pains me that i cant watch this legally in America yet since my theatre never played it, i would love to support the official release to this amazing series
This was more fun and interesting than the first 2 and while the last fight wasnt as large scale as movie 2 the entire movie being funny lively and beautiful. I think it's the best one. Also didn't have any whiny kids as main plot points
Overall like a 6/10, Rody & Bakugo carried this movie, the rest was pretty meh.. Also, why did Deku fight the dude at all? Especially after destroying the lasers, what stopped him from just walking away and turning off the bombs?
How did Bakugo carry the movie? And Flect was still fast and strong, Midoriya had to make sure he was out for good to avoid the bombs getting reactivated.
I haven't seen the films yet BUT I've seen clips of it and kaiser 40:30 what you said I completely agree with you 100% it really gets annoying after a while

@@mangamandrewSpoilers for the manga: early in the movie they have post cards of all the hero teems and where they're at. One of them have lemonillion on it who in the anime is currently quirkless while in the manga had his quirk restored.

@@mangamandrew That actually is how it should be but they put him in the post cards in his hero outfit as if he was participating in the attack on one of the human rise complexes and it's the only time he's seen during the main course of the movie. It's one of those things that could lead questions for those who haven't read the manga.
San Francistaly is such a neat perfect way to describe the city/ country. I remember literally describing it as "San Francisco but with favelas and a lot of Italian architecture and scenery"
One thing that sort of floored me was when deku was fighting flect and he was thinking about how people are good and stuff Melissa from the first movie shows up in a shot. I was like "uhhhhhh are we referring to the other movies now?"
The movie was a solid 6/10 for me. Definitely going to buy it on dvd but won't be seeing again in theater. There were a ton of beautiful shots that I couldn't tell what was happining (the Roddie rooftop chase just looked like him running in circles) and like you guys said the last fight was just "I'mma hit him harder to overtax his power" which... I guess worked?
I already knew about the amazing animation as season 5 was coming out because of a few of the scenes I saw from some clips. The fact that I knew that made me even more disappointed with season 5 which sucked. They had some insane sakuga animation in the movie while a big portion of season 5 was pretty mediocre for studio bone standard quality. Trust me I have no hate toward the animators or the people that didnt have a say so in making all of those decisions. More than anything I hope a large part of the problems this past year was due to the virus impacting the studio in certain ways. I cant lie when I say that I am very disappointed and slightly angry at the people that made all of these decisions that ended up messing with MHA. The least they could have done was either make a great season or a great movie. In my opinion both were mediocre and hurt the reputation of this franchise. I also understand that I do not know everything going on behind the scenes for doing MHA but they had a standard set for MHA for quite a while and in recent times they haven’t kept that standard.
This movie is most certainly the worst of the 3. I don’t pay for a MHA movie to see some new rando character be best buds with Deku. I watch for the characters already established. After the opening 10 minutes it’s a waste of time and money.
Well, to be fair, they did make it clear before the movie came out that Deku and Rody's bromance was going to be one of the main focal points of the movie so it's kinda on you if you wasted your time and money.
@@whitneybennett5076 With a title like, “World Heroes Mission” do you get a bromance story? I read the bonus chapter from the manga and they give no sign it was going to be that. Just because I missed an interview or promo trailer should I be ok with saying the movie is one thing when it is actually another.
