A trailer that tells the story of the entire film in 2 minutes. Those were the days. Actually, as pure pulp SF on screen, this delivered a lot more than the average of what would normally have been possible. How? A producer who made a valiant effort under very trying circumstances, and vis efx people and art director (who had done a lot of work for Hitchcock prior to this film) who pushed themselves farther than the miniscule money would normally have allowed for.
Unexpected random meteor showers appearing in the path of space ships in old sci-fi are the unexplainable rifts in the space time continuum appearing on every Star Trek series.
