The moment that Bradley smile hits, you know it’s gonna be a great reaction 😼 They did a 3 hour livestream the night of the Clancy album release and walked through each of the songs and videos. There were two songs Josh (drummer) had to convince Tyler to put on the album - this one and Navigating, which I also think is fire! I’m not entirely sure why Tyler second guesses some of these tracks, maybe he thought this one wouldn’t be as relatable as it is? Tyler is such a prolific songwriter I can’t even imagine how many songs will never see the light of day. But Tyler trusts Josh. I’m so glad you are exploring more TOP. If at all possible, try to catch them on this tour!! The Clancy tour will be a really special one since it is the conclusion of a storyline that has crossed over multiple albums. It makes you wonder either a) what songs he couldn't be convinced to release or b) he wrote but just never even told anyone about and tossed in the trash. A shame. I'm sure all his stuff is heat. I don't know how, but they perfectly capture that hazy feeling between asleep and awake, that so many people can relate to! And yes: TOP really are some of the most talented artists doing it right now, and they deserve every single bit of the success they have and more! As far as suggestions: I would HIGHLY echo the recommendations of Vignette and At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb (I bet you'd love them!), as well as Midwest Indigo! Honestly though, they have 8 albums without a single miss, so you can't go wrong!

Oooh, this is my favorite song on the album! I think this band could be bigger but Tyler just stays at home in Ohio and writes all this stuff in a bubble. I think sometimes he psychs himself out when choosing songs for the album. He’s so hard on himself.

First time on your channel. I love Routines In The Night. At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb, and Vignette are also favorites off Clancy, but the whole album is nothing but bangers IMO. Lane Boy (from Blurryface, 2015) sets them up for why they aren't talked about more. Their music doesn't fit in one genre, which is super cool, but also limits where they are heard. They are too emotional for pop. They aren't hip-hop enough for hip-hop. They are too hip-hop, and too pop for rock. Yet all this is why I love them. I can't understand why those old boundaries still exist. They are only really played on Alternative Radio /Lists and lets face it, Alt hss been dying for years.
