Sand Hollow is one of America’s best desert golf destinations and a great anchor for any trip in the region. St. George is two hours from Las Vegas, and one hour from golf-rich Mesquite, Nevada, and also has its own small regional airport. Sand Hollow is a beautiful golf resort with an amazing championship course, plus a family/new golfer-friendly Links course and a par 3 course. Sand Hollow is the reason why TheBossGolfs decided on this trip to Utah and the course surpassed my expectations. The course which is known for its epic cliff edge holes which are on the back nine also has a very good front nine. The entire course has great views of stunning mountain ranges. The fairways are generous in true resort fashion and the bunkers are filled with red sand. The conditions are phenomenal with amazing pure greens. The back nine lives up to the hype, and its popular picturesque holes are even more exhilarating in person. This resort course is not a pushover considering that the front nine plays more like a traditional dessert course, and the back nine subjects the player to losing balls off the cliffs or into rocky terrain.
