Bro, Ghanaian rappers are capable of doing anything. Just because they're not doing it doesn't mean they can't do what LJ is doing. Though LJ monster in that field. Music has become a lucrative business, and people don't pay as much attention to rap music, especially in Africa. To survive in the industry, commercial music needs to take precedence over rap. That's the main reason why even King Sark isn't doing as much rap music anymore-he's focusing on what the audience will buy.

Lyrical Joe has done an amazing job as a rapper. Africa has missed out on killer lyricists like this and I’m happy he’s doing this consistently and is from my home country Ghana. He is too talented to just be considered Africa’s best rapper. We strongly believe the world is in for a shocker. However, I think it’ll be helpful if he invested 65% of his effort in hardcore rap like he’s doing but 35% in the commerical side ie. catchy songs, albums, features or collaborations with trendy artistes eg Afrobeats. And also producing albums that perform well. People actually believe Odumodublvck or nasty c or LadiPoe are better rappers than lyrical joe. These rappers are outstanding but I think in terms of delivery, flow, rap skill, lyrical joe would murder them. But these guys are making the ways because they’re albums are selling or are doing successful collaborations with banging music. I don’t know if that is his goal though as lyrical joe. He does not need to conform to those standards. The reason Eminem is a GOAT to many is because he had a lot of great albums and collaborations. Think of songs like “love the way you lie” and “not afraid “ but Eminem still has time to do stuff like “rap god”. So I definitely feel lyrical Joe is number 1 in africa. And he’s the best MC for me in the world right now. But for him to climb the global stage, he needs to combine his hardcore rap to make good albums that are commercial and also do collaborations with artistes to enhance his replay value and popularity. Hopefully after all this, he can end up on stages like BET, La leakers freestyle etc and eventually win the Grammy as an African rapper. It would’ve been easier if he was American but lyrical joe is the hardest worker I know. But it’s a fact that the most successful rappers aren’t just great lyricists. They know the music business and are able to do all the above better than anyone. J Cole himself said it in Heavens EP and “ A lot”. He thought the work would speak for itself but he realized the music business is more than that and that’s why he respects Kendrick and Drake. Lyrical Joe is so good and I want him to end up being the GOAT. If he can excel at all of these, I will be so happy that he will eventually be recognized worldwide as the GOAT.
