The thing about going to see Thee Oh Sees is that every single time out, Jon Dwyer is going to try his absolute damnedest to give you the best show you've ever seen.
The interview he did back in 2008 he talked about he started doing less drugs at his shows so he could remember them. I imagine a lot of it was that he started to realize he has a good thing, and that exact mindset of giving the audience the best show possible really started blossom. Like if you're going to express yourself through art, you better be damn sure you do the best you can.
Truest story of em all. I saw them about a month ago or so and couldn’t tear myself away from the front so bad that I pissed my pants eventually racing to the bathroom!!!!! I was transfixed and thrashing so hard! Fuck. Just the best going.
@@fry339 this iteration is really great honestly, but cmon the new lineup deserves credit it too, especially for the drummers!! I do love having the female backing vocals though it adds a ton to the music
Interlude is You Will Find It Here - Odd Entrances (If not derivative of) and this is 3 years before it came out. Really cool, You never know what tidbits you will get at a Thee Oh Sees show
Track List: 0:00-5:30 'The Dream' 6:00-9:07 'Toe Cutter-Thumb Buster' 9:10-16:45 'Block Of Ice' 16:55-18:09 interlude (dont know what its called but they do this insane drum solo at some of their shows) 18:10-23:10 'Contraption/Soul Desert' 23:34-26:40 'Goodnight Baby' 27:10-30:40 'Lupine Dominus' 31:00-34:00 'Tidal Wave'
Fintan Ryan he's in a punk band, you can't hit the cymbals too hard. Plus the drummer here's actually shit compared to the other guy they've got, can't remember his name. It was best when they had two drummers
