I Love, Love, Love Joey! Straight outta East Los Angeles 100% Chicano!! So glad to see you cover these "Newdies". Check out The Altons, Thee Sacred Souls and Meyer Hawthorne too!!
New to you bros but as soon i saw you reacting to Joey Q. i had to watch! My black ass was completely blown away by Joey Quinones! I grew up on Rap and a little bit of R&B, but as i got older i got into Skateboarding and playing drums. Both have played a monumental part of the music i transitioned to. From Old Soul to East-coast Hip-Hop to even Punk and Death Metal. I say that to say this, i recently discovered Joey Q. and it took me down a rabbit hole of Chicano Soul that is fxckin fire!!
If you liked Thee Sinseers you'll also like Durand Jones and the Indications, especially "Cruisin' in the Park" and "Is it Any Wonder" with Aaron Frazer on vocals!
No tengo idea de como llegó "Whats his name " a mi vida ni como conoci a Joey pero no puedo dejar de escucharlos y son unos verdaderos mounstros musicalmente hablando. Lps amo. ❤
Thank's for the reply, I love this type of music and like you said is good to hear groups like this in this day's Keep up the good work! Here's another one La Vida es fria! By Jason Joshua?
No problem at all, just goes to show this music can influence anyone. Most just overlook it and don’t take the time to venture out of what’s “poppin” at the moment. Thanks for that recommendation.
@@Wulfy1978 Definitely! There are only a few of those old school acts out there. Not sure if you dig Durand Jones & the Indications, but they capture that sound pretty well and are also on Colemine Records like Thee Sinseers.
