Varun needs to do more films like October and Badlapur. He brings out so much of himself as an actor. Even in a disastrous film like Kalank, he held his own. It does to show how much he can really live up to in terms of his potential when he’s not doing a masala film

Its 25 may 2023 02.10 am I just finished watching October and my heart is ripped. This wasn't the first time i watched it but this time it felt deeper and i know whenever I'll go back to it, the feelings will deepen. The life is shaking and i am clueless and I love how badly this has scratched all my scars how i feel naked. Everything thing will change eventually but this night, this will remain the same, broken bruised and ajar. This will stay with me and every year when October comes, the story will be rewritten

Man this song! I love the tiny details in the song. Varun parking his bike right next to shiuli's car. Lot of extra scenes in the song that were not in the movie. Hats off to the marketing team who managed to make sure the plot was not what the video portrayed. I watched it at en empty theatre on April 2018. It will make sense for those people who have lost someone very close, you will feel more with an experienced you lived. Till the end I qas rooting for them to be together and but it ended with tragedy only to.make us realise, tragedy will happen and we will have to learn to live with it. No one gives Varun such roles because he is a "product of neptism", so how can he act like Nawazuddin or Pankaj tripathi or Rajkumar Rao or Gulshan Devaiyaa etc but he does and he shows his true range in this movie. This movie make you a better human being if you learn to incorporate a part of Dan in your life.

Nepotism is no guarantee of a good or bad movie. It's all about the effort you put in while filmmaking. People hate Varun Dhawan, but I think he was great in this movie

problem with nepotism is that good and capable actors get robbed from praise and awards and those who have the connections get it all(ex- ananya pandey winning filmfare for student of the year) , varun dhawan got some opportunities like that and hence people say that, but then they flop this movie/don't watch it and judge him for all the masala like coolie etc
