I like how you have a calm voice as if we are legitimately in the woods and you have to be quiet. Nice change of pace from the usual high energy gamer videos
Sometimes when you claim a zones that are close to one another the need zones stack on top of each other. it will only show the most recently claimed zone, but the turkey zone is still there. The community has been asking for a need zone filter so that you can see specific animals need zones on the map as this is very common for drink zones and can be frustrating to remember what was all drinking there. Not necessarily a bug, more of an inconvenience
(Just some updating info from a viewer) Today, Februar 2023, the need zone icon will list all the stacked animals and their individual times for that particular zone.
Excellent tutorial, thank you (the short ones you do are great too, but these longer ones are gold). Where you shot the fallow deer buck in an eating zone and then explained that you waited for the rest of the herd to return and then shot two does, did you claim/harvest the buck in the meantime, or did you leave it and wait, then claimed all three? If the latter does that affect your consecutive harvest bonus?
Consecutive harvest seems to only reset if you log out of the game or switch maps without collecting a harvest. Otherwise the order you pick up animals doesn't matter.
@@callofthewildtutorials1878 I have a question, I claimed a need zone from a turkey and next to it was another need zone from a big horn, once I claimed the new need zone the turkey need zone dissappear, I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's supposed to be like this since both need zones are next to each other
I was in the cuatro colinas map grinding for Hand Gun score, those wolves on that map attack you in packs 8-10 ....I wipe out 10 of them at a time cause they do not flee !! Talking about removing a zone ?? It's so Pink you need Sunglasses to look at the map BUT it's worth the gun score and they pay great !!
Good Video, thanks. I like the skill "Adlerauge" in german, "eagle eye". If you activate this skill on the lookout tower, you get 1 to 4 new needzones in a circle of 700 meters. Perfect skill! Greatings Espi
I don't understand how you have herds of animals just roaming around. I have need zones everywhere and have never seen more than one animal at one and for sure have never found a bunch of bears (or even one) at a rest zone. I've spent hours sitting on need zones at a distance an nobody ever shows up. Also there are never animals at great distances either which makes me think the draw distance is screwed up or you have to be be in an area for them to spawn.
Multiple things to address here; 1) Needs zones are not set in stone. Herds have multiple needs zones for the same thing within their home range. So if they are not at that particular, say, drink zone then they may be at another. So finding the need zones on the map is key. 2) Having 3 skill points in "track knowledge" will let you know how many animals are using the need zone. Don't just check one need zone track, check several. Maybe one track says 1 animal but another says 5, or maybe you discover a different species is drinking there too. So check all tracks you come across 3) Animal population for the map is set and herd numbers fluctuate. Just because you may not see them doesn't mean they are not on your map. It just means you haven't found them. 4) Timing. The need zone time is an approximation. Say for example whitetails drink from 8-12 they may arrive there shortly before 8 maybe 9 or 9:30 I've even seen them come in at 10. It depends on how far they have to travel from their previous zone. Also they may be there a little longer. The longest I've seen them stay past their zone time is usually 30-45 mins. So if you get to a zone at 930 and they're not there... Move on keep checking other zones and maybe show up before the end of that zone time. 5) Hunting pressure may cause animals to choose another zone. Also if you spook the animals they may not return right to the need zone where you saw them but may move on the fringes of that zone where you may not see them as well. Sorry this is so long. Hope this helps a bit.
@@callofthewildtutorials1878 I knew most of that, except the part about the number of zone occupants, just learned that last night. I am in the process of locating all the drink zones along the river at Willipeg, Maybe I can find a bear out in the open that way. I also saw a video last night saying that I was only going to be able to find bear drink zones at night now, it looked like 2300 hours on their clock. That would explain why I didn't find a single one out of all the other ones I did find in the day.
I was hunting on this small lake and accidently deleted my favorite whitetail drink zone.. Will a new one appear on the same lake or is it gone forever?
Searched this video for answer why most need zones I find simply dont work.. I've placed a camouflage tent next to few.. waited for the appropriate hour.. no animal came or you get different species ,not the one your waiting for.
You are allowed 3 kills per need zone. If you kill 4 it will be deleted. In a stand/tripod/blind or hunting with a bow. Hunting pressure is only 25% so you can kill 15 animals safely. 16 would count as 4 and the need zone would be deleted.
Omg! That's horrible, I've been spamming few need zones near my outpost as i don't have any DLC. Haven't kept track on whether these need zones are getting deleted and new ones cropping up though
