I'm a virtual foster at Hope for Paws! That is how I think of myself as a monthly donor. Whatever the reasons some of us cannot own a pet or adopt as much as we desire. Small donations are the lifeblood of Hope for Paws when they are monthly and there is dependable rescue funds for the rescues, looking at these loyal companions left without care. I think in a way Hope for Paws are like the fire/emergency people, they run to the fire or need.

Having lost my parents and wife over the years, I could sense their sorrow when you arrived to help them. Your organization is amazing! It’s always an honor to donate when I can.

Poor dogs. They lost their human and didn't know what to do. But you helped them understand that even when someone is lost, the rest of us have to go on.

Dog Mom here so off I love dogs I have my girl with me she just turned 7 and I have 2 boys 3&2 with my eldest since we both live in apartments thankfully they are dog friendly however I fell in love with this story I would love to adopt them myself if I had a bigger home but GOOdLUCk to these cute sweet fur babies they do need to be together forever crossing fingers for hope they find a wonderful and loving forever home they deserve it🤞🏼🙏🏽🐾

Dogs know.. they just know, it is our duty a Kahu's to ALL animals to protect, guard and give them all they deserve and to look out for them ALWAYS and to step in when one of their Kahu's passes... I no longer see myself as a dog 'owner" I am my dogs Kahu,THE most perfect word for those of us who treasure animals and all the represent.

I thought about the will but it includes everything I own. In my home state wills have to go to probate court and it is 18months to get a will processed. Animals are consider property and if I judge doesn't care, they might languish in a shelter. So I did notarized letters to 2 friends who each agreed to take one of my dogs. Those letters are on record with my vet and the "dog file" is kept out in the open to make it easy to find. Hopefully I won't need it and if I do, hopefully this works to get them to their safe place. Thank you for making us aware of what might happen if we don't make plans.

Gidget reminds me of a cat I had (also named Gidgit) She was a tortie, so they would have looked kinda similar. Just a thought I had, made me smile.

So utterly sad. Just like with children, it should not be allowed that animals live in these deplorable conditions. If you have a mental illness (in this case it appears to be hoarding) or are homeless, you should be able to have an animal. Period.

I have been subscribing monthly for at least 2 years I think but I live in the UK so I think it may be quite costly to adopt a pet from your organisation if you even support that.

Those poor dogs! First they lose their person then they're in a strange place with people they don't know. All they have is each other! These two dogs were very lucky! They had someone on their side that saved them! When my mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness she and her cats moved in with me. At least they still had her while acclimating to a new environment. I'm not sure why but one of them adopted me as their person right away! 😹 They integrated with my cats and dogs beautifully! We were one big happy family! There was a total of six cats and one dog. Eventually we loss two cats shortly after my mom moved in. Ironically they were a mother and son. I lost my dog to illness and old age. Then lost another one to old age (21 years old). I was the one feeding the cats daily so they knew I was their food source and when my mother passed her two cats knew no different. Of course the one cat who was attached to my mother wondered briefly where she was but she wasn't stressed. They never loss their appetites and now I'm their person. We get along great! It was discussed that I would take her cats regardless. Her cats were lucky! But unfortunately lots of pets aren't. The family doesn't want them and either dumps them at a shelter at risk for euthanasia especially if they're seniors or dumped outside to fend for themselves some for the first time. They are already in mourning and now they're confused and scared! Family members don't care! It's heartbreaking! 💔

My sincere thanks to the woman who helped these pups by feeding them and calling HFP. She truly saved their lives.

I don't think some people realize just how hard it is on fur babies when they lose their owners. I know people that work in shelters and some pets will actually grieve themselves too death, not eat, etc. I am sure Hope For Paws will make sure they get all the love and care they need to hopefully overcome their grief and be happy! I feel sure they will always miss their owners in their own way like we will always miss our beloved fur babies that have left us! I never stop missing mine.💖

The fear in these guys eyes is just heartbreaking. I've said this so many times before, but thank you so very much for all that you do to save these animals.
