Aisha, remember their usual Modus Operandi when they unlawfully arrest citizens for protesting is to first keep them in detention for years before even charging them to court, if at all they ever would. So, let's not be fooled, thinking the speedy expedition of this one is due to pressure from the protesters' lawyers, it's to avert future brewing protests, especially the one announced for Oct. 1st, and that's why they are even charging them for treason. The whole idea is to intimidate and cower citizens into never having the guts to ever try to protest again. That's the strategy. Remember how hard they tried to stop the last protest in the first place and how they even ordered security agencies to kill protesters? The GCFR (Grand Certificate Forger of the Republic) is indeed a strategist! God help our country. 🙏🏾

When Tinubu organized a fuel price increase protest against Jonathan, did the then government try to set him up, arrest and/or charge him for treason? Why is it happening now under his government and he isn't doing anything about it?
They are acting on Tinubu's instructions to charge those protesters for treasonable felony and terrorism. They are not acting on their own. What is treasonable felony and terrorism about protesting against hunger and bad governance? This is crazy; the protesters must be released forthwith because this is unconstitutional and against human right laws. Nigerians should rise up against this impunity and punitive move by Tinubu and APC otherwise that means Nigerians can no longer speak out. All Tinubu is doing is for Nigerians to accept every and any rubbish he is doing without raising their voices. But it won't work o. I pity Judge Nwite or Nwoke.
Nigeria deserves the current leadership that it has. Bangladesh protested and their leader resigned and fled. I said this before and I will say it again: The constitution was designed to favor only politicians. It did not take them time to pass judgement on innocent civilians but Yahara Bello and Betta Edu and other people who have committed worse crimes have either been pardoned or ignored to walk free. If you think that we have a constitution that protects you, better think again because there's absolutely none that protects the right of citizens.
