I know people like to see groups live, but very often the video is not very good. Should listen to the studio version first. This is especially true for 50's and early 60's groups.
Air Supply is an Australian-English soft rock duo group who were big in the 80's. They had a lot of great songs such as "Lost In Love", "Every Woman In The World", "All Out Of Love", "Here I Am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You)", "Sweet Dreams", "I'll Never Get Enough Of You", "Even The Nights Are Better", "Young Love", "Two Less Lonely People In The World", "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All", "Just As I Am" etc.
That's crazy! You have my cousin's name, Dagmar who passed away in 2017. She loved Air Supply a lot in the 90s when we were teens. I knew about the songs but not the group.
Their best songs are now over 40 years old. They were in their mid 20 s back then I think. ( when they were first recorded )They had many big hits in the early 80 s.
You have to do their studio versions- all out of love, here I am, every woman in the world, making love out of nothing at all, the one that I love, lost in love, the one that you love, even the nights are better
Yessss for Air Supply!! Can't wait for this!! My fave🤗💕🤗 Edit to add please do a studio version of one of their songs. This was good but the studio is so much better! Love you guys! 💖💖💖
I took my new girlfriend to see Air Supply back in 1983 and they sang that song saying it hasn’t been released yet. We celebrated our 35 anniversary last December 20th of last year. I love y’all’s videos. But please check out Made Mrs. Jessie Brown by Loretta Lynn. Keep up the good work!
It always surprises me when I hear a song that I haven't thought about in decades yet I can sing every word with the band. Memories can be a wonderful thing.
Great Band... Air Supply! They were huge in the 1980's "Air Supply - Even Nights Are Better" and "Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues (Live at the Kennedy Center May 1st, 1972)" and "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - "Ohio" the other two I referenced are about civil rights and inequality. They have powerful messages. hope you will give them a listen. Great reaction thanks and Take care~
I went to one of their concerts back in the 80s, it was amazing! Fun fact: The one in the colorful shirt used to hold the Guinness record for holding the longest sustained note!
Thank you soooo much for reacting to Air Supply! Please listen to, and react to any... ANY studio version. Though they are still great, the studio version when they were younger is FANTASTIC!!!
I saw them in concert years back they were fantastic, but honestly the studio versions of all their songs are better. You get the orchestra and can hear their harmonies. This song if from the early 80's. They were a lot younger and could really belt those notes back then. Such a great underappreciated and often forgotten group! I think their music would be right up your alley!
Studio versions are always better. They have lots of good music :). I think I suggested them awhile back. Even The Nights Are Better, 2 Less Lonely People In The World, Lost In Love are great songs
I like some live versions better. Studio versions can be too restrained because they are going for perfection sometimes at the expense of energy and passion you get in the live version.
@@ckobo84 I think when they are doing reviews they should listen to the studio version if they don't know the song because they miss so much of it. Lives are harder to understand, and they don't always sing it true to form
Watch the studio versions. They sound like angels. Super clean and crisp voices and they have at least 10 number ones, all more romantic than the last.
I've loved these guys ever since hearing "Even The Nights Are Better" back in the early 80's. They were the first concert I ever saw. They may be older in this performance (I remember them as young men), but the talent is still there and the music is still evocative and emotionally touching. A male friend of mine once remarked of them, "Air Supply, the only band that can bring a grown man to tears." Lol. Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock - the Words and the Music. 🎶
On Oct. 8th 2016 my wife and I went to the Four winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan to see Air Supply and it was just like this, the same band, everything. I can tell you as a life time fan of theirs that they sound live the same as they do on their studio albums, THAT'S how GREAT they are. If you EVER have a chance to see them, do so, you will not regret it. The year we saw them they were in their 40th year together as a band and my wife and I had been married for 40 years which made It all the more special. After the concert we bought their 40 year retrospective book written by them that enabled us to go back stage to meet them and have our picture taken with them and they signed our book, the iceing on the cake to the best concert ever!
I love Air Supply. And this particular version of the song live is fantastic. However you should do their studio versions because they have some 80s electronic nuances that just don't come through the live versions especially if you do the song Lost in Love which is my favorite.
I've heard this song a million times . . . always thought, "hmmm...that's kind of pretty, and they have good voices . . .ho-hum. But THIS was great! Had a real rock essence to it, and the crowd enraptured and knowin every word, well, spellbinding. What a great choice and reaction.
This was played at every one of my middle school dances. And you’d always find girls, crying in the bathroom or the hallways during this song. It was heartbreaking back then but I laugh now thinking about how middle school was tough for everyone! In fact, our school won a national home ec award and were told they would play at our school. They never did. lol Air Supply was associated with sadness growing up. 😂😂
This video is definitely later in their career. My Mom had the big hots for these guys and went to more than a few of their earlier concerts. I love their music too and they have a ton of great songs. I'd love to see you do "Making Love Out of Nothing at All", probably my favorite among many favorites.
This came out my senior year of high school. There were a lot of love songs helping us young men out back then. I do enjoy seeing you find the music from back then. I know you’re fans of Queen. Freddy did some duets with an opera singer. Please do, How do I go on, the live performance is wonderful. Someone may need their tissues close.
I think they had a residency in Las Vegas for some years? can't confirm at moment on google. Yes watch the original vid and studio version of this song - Russel's high range and length of notes are amazing. Russell is the Australian born member of the duo
I have loved their music since I was 18 and finally watched them live in Sydney a few years ago.Do yourself a favour and put their greatest hits on, crank up the volume and you will be entirely lost in their sound 💕
Lost in in love is one of their song which was recorded in just one take. They done it so good that the producer said there's no need to make anyother take. Graham Rusell and Rosell Hitcock had much better voice in younger years but they are still performing. They are hit makers. One of them are: Making love out of nothing at all, Even the nights are better, The one that you love, Just as i am, The power of love, Young love, Sweet Dreams, Every woman in the World and some others.
My high school sweetheart went into the army which took him to basic training in Kapooka NSW. I was in Queensland and he would call me and play this song over the phone.
Everyone has their own memories of 80s music.. maybe Michael Jackson, maybe Van Halen, maybe Run DMC.... There was a lot of variety but if anyone asks me to describe how I remember it, I'll just play them any song from Air Supply and say "basically this". (and, by extension, I would explain that Jim Steinman was a big part of many 80s hits.)
This is a great song. If you want to hear a really dreamy romantic song please give a listen to “Goodnight My Love” by Jesse Belvin. It’s from the doo wop era (late 50s, early 60s). His voice will make you melt Mel.🥰
I don't know who recommends these to you, but the studio version sound quality is so much better. Concerts are generally great for the being there experience, but the studio is the actual song.
I would have gone studio version FIRST for a first timer- this performance is more for us seasoned listeners of the song - plz check out the studio version and let us know what you think- it was an anthem of a song back in the day-for sure! 💖💙👍✌️
