predatory towing is a legal business in VA. It's baked in to the massive amounts of developments with pre-made HOAs and lack of parking. Many of the tow companies exploit HOA and private lot "laws" to yank cars for a quick 200 bucks.
its sad that crooked tow companies make it look bad for the hard working and honest tow workers out there. honesty is the best policy. i noticed in life alotta shady things that goes on in the dark will one day come to the light. there was a tow company that use to go around and just pick up ppl cars and sell it to the scrap yard...the guy who was doing that finally got arrested. shady things really comes back and bite you in the a$$.
Yo it's the same thing in my area! But I think it's just widespread. But it's on both sides there's legal companies who do corrupt things and there's illegal companies that do righteous things. It's hard to differentiate the two especially when there's legality that helps cover them up. Who knows with this particular case this could have been something that they were doing legally at one point but became illegal after they are already into it we will definitely see in time 💪🏿🙌🏿✌🏿
