I thought she auditioned for Pinkie Pie... I know there were some test animations where she voiced all Twilight, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash and that she ultimately got Twilight, but if there was also an option for Applejack she really lives up to her surname
God the Oleander/Oleander interaction had me howling. So many games do the “what dark magic is this” line but I love hearing the other Oleander actually answer the question and tell her where it is in the book, that’s high tier
I wonder how they would react to meeting their mane 6 inspirations? Twilight would probably want Oleander to teach her spells. Pinkie Pie would probably get weirded out by Paprika's obsession with snuggling and kissing (or they would goof off together), Rarity and Velvet would share ideas, but Velvet would probably say something that offended her (since Velvet is kinda a dick), Rainbow Dash and Tianhuo would have mutual respect for each other, Applejack and Arizona would talk about farm life, and Fluttershy would likely help Pom to find some courage and relate to her very well.
@@solitonmedic Tianhuo is so a-dork-able when she adds "Burn you" and "That's an insult, right" behind her menacing words. Maybe it's a reference to her Asian cultural background? I mean, people from China or Japan sure feels awkward speaking to westerners whenever they can't actually grasp the contexts.
I love that oleander even says that it's completely incomprehensible, and that she attempted to learn the language herself XD And no, I don't think they have any particularly unique interactions beyond the fact that they are both doing the insane giggly thing, which to be fair, is pretty unique :p (Source: am Paprika mane)
Knowing Tianhuo's background as a bully who reformed, it makes sense that she now chooses to give confidence lessons to Pom, someone her old self probably would have thought was easy prey.

It also shifts in combat when someone have the upper hand. Plus bonus track for the final round and zone-specific outro for each hero. Seriously, this game have amazing music design.
I like how since they were forced to remove the mane six from this game, they made up characters to represent them Oleander=Twilight Pom=Fluttershy Velvet=Rarity Paprika=Pinkiepie Arizona=Applejack Tianhuo=Rainbowdash I wanna see a spinoff series with these guys! Or at least a reference to them in an episode
It was Lauren Faust (yes, that Lauren Faust) that designed the characters. She heard of the Cease and Desist, so she approached the team and offered to make original characters for their game.

@@GoldPrince2468 Yep ! Hasbro sadly told them to CnD but Lauren Faust helped them by just changing the settings and designing the characters so that they can continue develop it :)
these interactions make me miss the golden age of Capcom and SNK games specially Capcom vs SNK 2 when they had great interactions of the characters of Capcom and SNK
@@jasonharris3502 Backstory suggests she's just a heck of a lot more powerful than the rest of her kind. The rest of the contenders were focusing on brute strength and physical power, and Velvet just casually turned her opponent into an ice sculpture.

Interactionintros are very good, but I think that Tianhuo needs a touch up more in their animations of intros and outros, anyway it's still great, great work with the compilation
Yeah, for some reason Tianhuo's flames don't move when she talks. But after seeing so many changes made to the game's looks since the end of "Fighting is Magic," I'm sure the guys at Mane6 will work it out.
RU-vid recommendations are still a mystery to me. For NO REASON it started recommending me vids for this game for a couple of days now. It's even weirder considering this specific video is old now. Still, the game looks interesting and obviously gorgeous. I'll probably purchase it when I can.

Actually, Oleander kinda reminds me of a cross between Twilight and Nightmare Moon. Half expect to hear her say "You're kidding. You're kidding, right?" at any moment.
I low key love how Paprika's intro animation is a shout out to Taokaka's in blazblue, with her slamming her face against the screen before sliding off screen and running into frame.

Man, Pom's dialogue makes the other characters look like complete jerks. She clearly doesn't want to fight, but her dogs do. They should fight the dogs.
Arizona and velvet not having an interaction? There's could go like... Arizona: let's get it on bring it! Velvet: I'll fight you just don't ruin my fur Or something like that they are as different as day and night personality wise
