Man this might be the best blading edit ever. Production quality wise for sure. Congratulations to everyone involved. You guys made blading look absolute incredible. Especially props to the filming and editing. That intro shot of the dude... and the related ones and those tilted angles... damn... I've watched it 4 times already. Love it. Great work.
Damn this is so dope, couldn’t be a better time for blading atm. Don’t stop these THEM X Brain Dead collabs. So dope seeing all disciplines been embraced and put out there looking fresh. The skates and the collection look crazy. Awesome work team 👌🏽👌🏽
Ironically, Julio was also rather hostile towards idea of mixing aggressive skating with big wheels at the time. It is good to see he has matured, though.
@@tawmifm yeah, people tend to grow and become more mature over time :) I kind of get it, though. Back when Powerslide have came out with a concept of powerblading (aka grindable big wheel frames mounted to aggressive boot), aggressive inline was in a rather rought spot. I think Julio was massively frustrated by that, especially after his Valo Light project has proven to be a failure and simply a poorly engineered product (I recall people bolting fking METAL PLATES inside the shell to make it more durable, thus removing "Light" part of the equation). Then something he tried to distance from his whole career and build an image of rollerblading as a "serious" action sport by nurturing its specific culture, comes in and steals the thunder. Everyone out of sudden starts to roll on big wheels and do less "core tricks", more "goofing around". Being an OG he simply went into "kids these days!" mode and he wasn't alone. Farmer did the same even though he was sponsored by Powerslide (through Xsjado and Unercover). Beau Cottington was having a hate diarrhea all over social rollerblading channels, lol.
This video is the first one I’ve seen that captures the spirit of what inline skating has become while successfully shaking off the preconceptions of what it used to be. Attaching wheels to your feet and flying through dystopian cityscapes is the future, not the past.
Master flow skills! Editing and tunes are out of this world. Just made a clip on the best value wizarding setup and THEM skates is definitely the boot to go for, but dang, even if this has a premium tag on it, every part makes sense.... This setup looks killer 🤘🏻!!!
I watched this video so many times. He has style. The shoes are beautiful. I love the animation too 0:46 What is this move called? Looks like he's scything the ground with his skates, it's so stylish
You don't necessarily need special skates, especially not at the start. You can wear a natural rocker into your wheels or even use different sized ones to create a rocker and get started on your current skates.
What kind of frames are those and where can I get them? I have Them 909’s. Definitely need some wizard recommendations. Also Im producer getting a vlog rolling. I love the audio choice for this with the music, very inspiring. The videography dope AF too.
I remember when the Danny Beer 909 was announced at $500 and that seemed huge. And now we're at double the price and some, but to be fair these come with a Wizard frame that is selling at 500 bucks...
Like most none mass produced custom pieces of clothing \ art...... artists \ manufacturing costs needs to be covered and people need to be paid..... guessing they’ve sold out and good for them. Skates should cost more they’ve been priced 200/300 for 30+ years. Skates should be more, riders should get a wage etc etc. Folks will spend a small fortune on coffee, weed, video games, booze, cocaine etc but don’t want to invest that extra coin into the culture to make sure everyone gets paid. 🤷🏼
